Drive west on sunset to the sea Turn that jungle music down Just until we're out of town This is no one night stand It's a real occasion Close your eyes and you'll be there It's everything they say The end of a perfect day Distant lights from across the bay Babylon sisters shake it Babylon sisters shake it So fine so young Tell me I'm the only one Here come those Santa Ana winds again We'll jog with show folk on the sand Drink kirschwasser from a shell San Francisco show and tell Well I should know by now That it's just a spasm Like a Sunday in T.J. That it's cheap but it's not free That I'm not what I used to be And that love's not a game for three Babylon sisters shake it Babylon sisters shake it So fine so young Tell me I'm the only one Here comes those Santa Ana winds again My friends say no Don't go for that cotton candy Son you're playing with fire The kid will live and learn As he watches his bridges burn From the point of no return Babylon sisters shake it Babylon sisters shake it So fine so young Tell me I'm the only one You gotta shake it, baby You gotta shake it, baby You gotta shake it You gotta shake it, baby You gotta shake it, baby You gotta shake it You gotta shake it, baby You gotta shake it, baby You gotta shake it

WOW SO many of my favorites collectively collaborated on this? Pattie Austin , Tom Scott , diva gray, Valarie Simpson! I never knew . Thank you for this !
Thank you for the full fabulous album. I can listen to Steeley Dan all day, it gets me thru and takes me away...all artists, each instrument.. Clearly magnificent.
Even as a young child, the icy brass intro/outro always fascinated me. I still can’t think of anything else that sounds like that except maybe some of the film noir scores by Jerry Goldsmith.
After AJA ; this album, was a total let down. The shining moments were few and far between . It really felt like a side-project . TRIVIA: John Belushi LOVED the song "Hey 19". He wanted to make an entire MOVIE based on this song . LOL . True story!
一番よく聴いたアルバムです。ドナルドフェイゲンは天才だと思います。
👍👍
Agreed with th@
Plus de 30 ans que j'écoute Steely Dan et je trouve qu'il n'a pas pris une ride entre mes oreilles d'acier. Grâce à lui je rajeunis.
Introduced to steely dan around 1983 by a school friend.
Have listened to them ever since. They are without doubt one of greatest bands I've heard.
2024...still listening to Steely Dan... those were the coolest years of my teenage life. 😎
👍👍
Still so fresh and brilliant.
Me too🎉
If you were listening to SD as a teenager, you were smarter and more sophisticated than your peers. It’s just science.
Listened to this in my front yard waving at cars. All time great album.
Drive west on sunset to the sea
Turn that jungle music down
Just until we're out of town
This is no one night stand
It's a real occasion
Close your eyes and you'll be there
It's everything they say
The end of a perfect day
Distant lights from across the bay
Babylon sisters shake it
Babylon sisters shake it
So fine so young
Tell me I'm the only one
Here come those Santa Ana winds again
We'll jog with show folk on the sand
Drink kirschwasser from a shell
San Francisco show and tell
Well I should know by now
That it's just a spasm
Like a Sunday in T.J.
That it's cheap but it's not free
That I'm not what I used to be
And that love's not a game for three
Babylon sisters shake it
Babylon sisters shake it
So fine so young
Tell me I'm the only one
Here comes those Santa Ana winds again
My friends say no
Don't go for that cotton candy
Son you're playing with fire
The kid will live and learn
As he watches his bridges burn
From the point of no return
Babylon sisters shake it
Babylon sisters shake it
So fine so young
Tell me I'm the only one
You gotta shake it, baby
You gotta shake it, baby
You gotta shake it
You gotta shake it, baby
You gotta shake it, baby
You gotta shake it
You gotta shake it, baby
You gotta shake it, baby
You gotta shake it

Still a fan of the Dan after all these years. SD music is timeless and so good 👍
This is what happens when you get that black and white groove together brilliantly done
Nearly ²5 years old this disc still sounds great 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Classified fusion jazz - rock - pop - soul ; in the Steely Dan ; thank you genius of Donald Fagen;😊🤫🤔
Thank you for the full fabulous album. I can listen to Steeley Dan all day, it gets me thru and takes me away...all artists, each instrument..

My pleasure 🙂
Recomiendo a todos tener este gran disco de Steely Dan, junto con otros de ellos como: Ajá y Pretzel Logic.
Hearing for the first time, thanks.... first track is so Zappa music and arrangements, lovely
My pleasure 🙂
Nice to let the album "track through"🙌
much appreciated 🙏
Intelligent lyrics with gr8 grooves.
👍👍
Glamour Profession was on a whole different level of sophistication compared to other 1980s songs.
Even as a young child, the icy brass intro/outro always fascinated me. I still can’t think of anything else that sounds like that except maybe some of the film noir scores by Jerry Goldsmith.
Yes it was the Glamour profession song very cool song that only Steely Dan could sing 🎶 ❤❤ you are so correct . @rickrandall3174
Musical excellence by the creme of the crop
that still remains timeless and so tasteful
Babylon sisters......SHAKE IT!

Muito bom!
GOOD BLAST. FROM PAST😅😅
i listioned in the early am hours in college
Corner of North Formosa and Vermont. For those who know.
...of course the sound, the taste of the music but their funky research too. Unmissable rhythm
Don't think either Walter or Donald played much if at all on this besides Donald's vocals of course.
I've added the musician information in the description. It's per track.
Too funny roll your eyes.😂
After AJA ; this album, was a total let down. The shining moments were few and far between . It really felt like a side-project . TRIVIA: John Belushi LOVED the song "Hey 19". He wanted to make an entire MOVIE based on this song . LOL . True story!
I love this album
They never disappoint 😊
Ever!!
Sure looks good
