Why did you not cut the cake we need to see how moist or how doughy it is. I don't like a doughy cake. Pudding should never have the same texture as cakes

You don't have to use the bread crumbs.
I will try this recipe but not sure if 5 eggs are enough.
Too much eggs can cause your cake to be too dense.

I sift the dry ingredients, plus whisk it a bit plus the baking powder and eggs help.
Chef, you didn't clearly say how long is the baking time.
Usually takes 45 mins to an hour bake at 325 F. Or once you insert a cake tester and it comes out clean.
