Power Driven Diesel is where I got all of my parts. Probably around $4K or so. And the fuel pump is a hot rod modified Cummins lift pump. You’ll find it on they’re site. The truck was a total ripper. Don’t have it anymore, but it was a great driver.

@@arthurwarren2able not sure where you got that info, but I worked for a transport company for a while running ram 4500 and 5500’s and they were all manuals with a G56. They pull much better, and haul more weight than autos.

@@NewWorldAdventures hard to say exactly - there are a lot of variables. Goose neck? Or bumper pull? Gooseneck you can probably get to around 20-25k and that’s assuming you’re using a dually. Love the AFC live, it has the ability to tune out almost all smoke and make it run super clean, then with the flip of a switch, you can get all the power back and roll a little coal if you feel so inclined.
It is. One of the things that helps it whistle so much is the metal intake on the truck. It still whistles a lot with the plastic, but it’s a huge difference with the metal one.
I must say turbos just sound better behind a manual trans then an automatic . They seem to spool more beautifully .
Agreed! It’s a beautiful sound!
I agree and you control the rpms and shifting with a manual but as for autos they are set with the rpms with shifting
Than*
You're right but they stay constantly on boost with an automatic. So it's one or another.
I know i said the exact same thing to my co workers yesterday
Love that turbo sound

I did

Do the early trucks like that run the ac compressor with a pressure switch or through the computer. My friends 2006 is kind of a pain for ac work
96 doesnt have anything really computer controlled minus alternator regulator. Ac is pressure switch untill 97 and a half.

Do they have shorter "kick" clutch pedals you can buy? cause that is a lot of leg movement :)
Clutch masters makes a clutch that has a slightly shorter push, but in general, these trucks have a LOT of pedal movement.

24v vs 12v for hotshot?
Personally. I’d probably say 24 valve, and only because you can get a 6 speed manual, and disc brakes. Both pretty important for that type of work.
