    I have to say.
    1st time I'm seeing someone how knows how to drive. Taking care of rpm to change the gears. Holding gears to take care off the engine. I can see you feeling the truck to know what will be the time to change gears up and down.
    You make my day.
    I'm tried to see people forcing engine and trans, just to make a "cool " videos.
    Congrats.

Hauled two more from ny and one from va and 2 from mt. Brakes on trailer were strong enough that I could slide tires under the load on the pavement at any time.

    • @DieselPowerTV
      @DieselPowerTV  Год назад

      The six speed will be better for towing. The nv5600 has some con's, the parts are harder to find, it's heavier than the nv4500 and it cost more to fix. I would opt for the nv4500 5 speed because it will give you less problems.

      No not really you can haul more with a dually than you can a single wheel. But really a dodge ram 3500 is a 2500 with bigger axles. The frames are the same

    • @josefastboats5874
      @josefastboats5874 2 года назад +1

      Dually hauls more and does it 100% better everytime and you have the added traction’s of Dual Rear Wheels ...... The right truck for the job is always a Dually. But a single rear wheel can hold its own as seen in this video. Other benefits of a Dually are, You get a blowout on the rear tires, you won’t be left stranded. 4 tires back there. You blow one you can still limp it to the nearest shop

    • @Texas12valve
      @Texas12valve Год назад

      @oldcroneysgarage9739 in the 2nd gen trucks if you got the 8800 lb package on the 2500 the rear axle is the same as the 3500's which is the dana 80. The 3500's have a dana 70 in the front for 4wd and the 2500's have the dana 60 in the front for 4wd. If you got the 7700 lb package on the 2500 you got a dana 70 in the rear.

    • @jfdb59
      @jfdb59 8 лет назад +1

      Why? What is the problem here? Trailer's brakes are designed to stop it's max weight rating and the truck's brakes are designed to stop it's max ratings. He's under the max capacity for the trailer. Say machine is 16K and trailer is 6K for a combined towing of 22K, 20% pin weight on the truck is 4400# still under the GAWR of the dana 70 (he could back up the machine for 15% TW if necessary too) So what is the problem? Everyone thinks towing heavy with a pickup is unsafe. It's not when you have the right equipment and some know how. These trucks are all underrated from the factory. And DOT won't care either so long as you're registered for the weight you're hauling (they want their money) and you aren't exceeding a tire or axle rating. GVWR are manufacturers recommendations and are not enforceable legal limits on the equipment. The operator is also staying fully aware, checking mirrors and taking his time. That said, I'd rather use a dually for this type of work but he's doing just fine. Peace.

    • @alanack67
      @alanack67 8 лет назад +2

      All DOT cares about is Registration, Taxes, License, Tires, and axle ratings. Period, Under 26K your good no cdl required

    • @shortthrow50
      @shortthrow50 8 лет назад

      You need a class A Cdl If you are pulling a trailer rated over 10K Pounds regardless. Times have changed brotha. Big fines if you don't have one. Doesn't matter if it has air brakes or not.

    • @alanack67
      @alanack67 8 лет назад

      shortthrow50 the 10,000 tow law is for class B vehicles. Meaning if your driving a 30,000gvwr dump truck you can only tow 10,000lbs with out needing a cdl A. Since my truck is 8800 I can tow up to 17,200 gvwr trailer. Actual trailer weight does not come into play.
      I called my local state police to get this info, I believe this for a 50 states. California requires things for above 10,000lb trailer but a cdl is not one of them

    • @shortthrow50
      @shortthrow50 8 лет назад

      I'm a class A driver with air brakes so I don't read into the laws much because I'm covered with anything on the road. They hung up the new cdl chart which is pretty much nationwide standard. Its just the way its laid out. So many grey areas man. be safe out there

      @@Branden787 The thing about the Fords is they’ve had the engines really sucky for atleast 15 years. After they stopped putting the 7.3’s in the trucks. They really F’ed them up putting in the Junk 6.J0kes, and the 6.4’s which were worse. Those things SUCKED big time. A damn shame, because Ford always made the roomiest Cabs and the Best Interiors in my Opinion. They were always better then The Dodges and Chevys. The Chevy interiors always sucked lol. My personal Favorite body style was always the Ford SuperDuty Too. It’s a damn shame the engines didn’t get better until about 2011 when they put in the 6.7’s. Those are supposedly alot better then any of the engines they used in the last 15 years. They are also really powerful and sound good once deleted. P.S., the worst diesel of all time is the 6.4 Diesel in the Superdutys. Those really really sucked. My favorite truck is probably a Ford with a Cummins engine in it.
