you keep 65% of the rental as an owner. you maintain the vehicle, including costly repairs. your insurance company will most likely drop you when they find out.... and you get to store it somewhere when it's not being rented. don't do it unless you're going to have a large fleet $$$... and you get to deal with sketchy people using your car for... possibly crime
The Turo have pro's and con's. Some vehicles they wouldn't rent to people under 25, a few for people under 30. A lot of the vehicles you'll need to have insurance for because the protection package isn't straight forward. Assuming you're renting a 2017 Jaguar F type coupe and the rate is $79, with taxes, delivery fees, basic to full protection plans, penalty fees like cleaning car, not filling gas tank to full, driving over 100 -200 miles per day, it's around $214 per day. Turo is a good app if you're visiting a big city like San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami and you want to do driving around the city in a nice car.

I rented an 2016 Audi S5 coupe for $98 ($177 after all the taxes, fees, and protections) when Hertz had the BMW 3 series at $129/day at LAX airport. The advantage to the Hertz the fees are around the same when you add the taxes, full coverage, etc, but the S5 is more powerful

Turo is way too expensive in my opinion but works for some people (if you want to pay for mileage) CLA (never rented) but for 99/day with limited mileage is too much.
