My thirst is not quenched, and I can not find peace Until I receive the Darshan the beloved saint. I give myself, and my soul for your Darshan, my beloved Guru! Your face is so beautiful, and the sound of your words (shabd) is so filled with inner wisdom. It has been too long since this rainbird has had even a glimpse of water. Blessed is the land, where you live, my friend and loved one, my Divine teacher. I give myself, and my soul, to my beloved, my Divine Guru An instant away from you, brings darkness When will I meet You, my beloved Waheguru? I can’t endure this night, sleep eludes me too Until I see your home, my beloved Guru! I give myself, and my soul to your true home, my beloved Guru! By good fortune, I met my Saint Guru and I have found that the immortal creator is within the home my own self and so I will always serve you and never be separated from you even for an instant. Guru Nanak says- I’m your slave, my beloved Lord. I give myself and my soul. Servant Nanak lives to serve you.
Every time I hear this song I cry 😢 The music and the voice touch the deepest strings of my soul and help feel, release and heal all the pain in my heart 🙏🏻 Sincerely thank you for such a moving, sensual and profound performance, I’m in love with it ❤ God bless you! And let everyone who is in pain find peace 🙏🏻
I heard this song couple of years ago at yoga festival in France. I experienced deep deep healing of my grief and profound reconnection with my soul. I did not know the story and meaning of the mantra, but after you and your father told about the meaning I had to cry again, because it was exactly what I "understand/feel" without words. I just want to thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your hornest, profound and healing art! So spiritual and human in the same time. GOD bless you!!
This would have been in 2019, yes? Feels like a lifetime ago... I wish you well on your road, wherever it has taken you since then, and I thank you for your loving words. ❤️
Surinderpal Singh Ji: Am I incorrect in my attribution? I grew up understanding (and all my pre-release research confirmed) that this Shabd was written by Arjan Dev Ji, as a series of letters to his father, Guru Ram Dass. Of course all the writings of the SGGS are rooted in the anti-division teachings of Guru Nanak, but it seemed correct to attribute this Shabd to Guru Arjan Dev.
@@jaijagdeesh you are correct this Gurbani belongs to Guru Arjan Dev . However same Jot of Guru Nanak travelled in the body of Guru Arjan Dev We are all same but difference is outer and we are from the same source like a drop of water come from the sea merge in the sea
It is late of course but now I listen to this Sahbad from a American. I was mesmerized and thank the God that Guru Nanak message of oneness traveled so far .
Thanks to you all in collaboration for making that music as an healing tool and processing together your journey to a new beginning. It's a wonderful piece of hope💖
I absolutely love this version of this beautiful mantra and I'm so grateful that you chose to record it after the heartache and shock of the revelations about Yogi B. Bless your heart and may the long time sun shine upon you, all love surround you and the pure light within you, guide your way on
Hi, Loveleen. We did make sure to do this, in several places; it was a key priority when creating and publishing the video. It's written in the caption (which is visible just beneath the video when watching on a desktop, and can be made visible on mobile by clicking the ⌄ symbol), and it also appears in the video itself starting at 4:22.
@jaijagdeesh can you help me get an Enlgish translation of the lyrics? Last night I had an unexpected and profound experience with this recording. I have tried to find a translation but very difficult!

Is it possible to get an English translation of the lyrics?
You should explain that’s it’s sikh prayer
