About: This performance piece, entitled "The Birth of Joy" is about the role we play in creating our own true joy, and about our enormous capacity to experience and to share it. Whether consciously or unconsciously, we plant the seed of that joy in our hearts and minds. It lives within us always, waiting patiently until we are ready to open up to it; until we ask for it to reveal itself. At times we see it but don't feel we have the strength to support it. Other times we recognize and nurture it. And sometimes it thrives against all odds, perhaps even in spite of something within us attempting to hold it back. As we discover our joy, as it emerges from within us, we are empowered. We are boundless, blissful, radiant beings. We become pure joy, and we are present. Joy is now.

WOW....That was brilliant....is this the only style u do or there are other styles...why dont u try something other than that of Bharatnatyam or classical types...why dont u try the common Indian style which is the cinematic dance of course if u have company it would be great......lot of great songs to perform especially the west is now really opening up to Indian dance and songs...u can be a great success!

There is something magical that happens when you see Jai dance - something joyful and expansive, and so there is a perfect synchronicity in her face Her Guru is Ganesha Singh. Jai is one of those people whose step always has an extra bounce, whose eyes always twinkle with a hidden light, and whose smile takes you over.
Her dance “The Birth of Joy”; referencing classical Indian dance in a way that is simultaneously ancient Eastern and contemporary Western. She lived in Bangalore, India .
If you see audience , they too sit on the streets and view her dancing with spellbound trance .

If you are ever in Western Canada, I'd love to host you and introduce you to the 'Conscious Community' that is billowing here. Our drum circles, chant circles and yogic events are all blossoming.

P.S.: If during the dance you (try and) see yourself in front of the God you offer your dance, than your dance is the highest; it's not for the crowd, but for the One that is in the same time the Source that gave the dance, the Teacher that taught you the dance and the Receiver that deserves the dance from you...

Hi Jai..Thank u for embracing Indian Culture and Art..We Love You...BTW...'Bombay Theme' and 'Alaipayuthe' are the only two A R Rahman songs I found u perform..I'd love to see more performances on A R Rahman songs....'Kannodu Kaanpadellam' from the tamil movie 'Jeans' would be wonderful..Pls upload more A R Rahman song performances...keep up the good work...God Bless You
