I think this was a song written by some Brits? V wanted to use it for a while and I think Big Hit wasn’t giving the go ahead. The theme and visual too is very similar to RM’s Come back to me. Jimin’s Like Crazy in the club surrounded by people too but it was different in that it’s more about dark times during the pandemic.
My understanding is that it was one of the original eight songs (or thereabouts) that he was thinking about including on Layover, but it didn’t have the same ‘feel’ or sense of a connected storyline as the five that eventually made the cut. So he held it back to release as a single. Which may mean there are another couple waiting for his return…
