Because of the chemical nature of that, we do not recommend using it in the airbrush. With airbrush techniques, the gel can get on the skin or in the air you are breathing and this is not recommended.
Alcohol may not be ideal for cleaning as it isn't a strong solvent and can be corrosive. Water or airbrush cleaners (generally have solvents but are non-corrosive) will be your best option.
I learnt to do airbrush makeup on a course thru college. You had to clean your airbrush everytime you used a different product so to get the best posdibke results. The same applies for this by the look of it though its a different type of machine yours compared to the one I used. x
Such an important tut! Thanks so much ❤️ what is ‘onto the next’? Simple nail polish remover? Can we purchase additional individual pieces for our airbrush like extra needles @youngnailsinc ?
The tiny nozzle at the end is replaceable (I had issues with mine being the plastic washer double threaded after my local YN store showed me how to pull it apart to clean I’d never undone that particular part so I knew it wasn’t me who done it too tight was all good they did replace the gun) you can get them off wish 2.0 or 3.0 sizes work I brought some as spares just incase 😍
When I use your airbrush and paints after a couple of days it peels off? How do you prevent this? I’ve stopped using the airbrush because clients are getting upset. I love to use it for ombres. Thank you.
Jennifer, are you buffing or using a matte topcoat under the airbrush paint? If not, start doing that -- top coat & buff or matte TC. Airbrush, then 2x TC, it should stay on well.
Marina Dobbie If directly on acrylic it’s buffed. I’ve used directly over gel polish and then put a base coat on before applying top coat but that didn’t work either. YN demonstrates directly over gel polish but it always peels for me. I wish they would do more instructional videos on it. I feel as I’ve wasted my money. I’ll try what you suggested. Thank you!
Best case scenario is to go straight from a file finish at 150 grit, anything smoother can result in chipping. go file finish 150, spray design, top coat twice
Thank you for the video, I am curious as to how we keep the paint from chipping? Especially on ombre designs. I have read there are special topcoats for airbrush designs? I have also made a cleaning solution for in between clients that works wonderfully, a mixture of windshield washer fluid, distilled water, isopropyl alcohol and glycerin...
To prevent chipping you need a textured surface, so the surface you are spraying onto needs to be roughed up at about a 150 grit file (even if it's gel polish) then spray design then top coat twice to seal with no chipping issues
I bought an airbrush on black Friday special. Finally got to play with it and I am using water based paint and it’s not spraying paint. What am I doing wrong ?
If you are going from a lighter to darker color, you can just spray out the excess paint, flush it with a little water or airbrush cleaner and then go to your next color. If you are going from a darker to lighter color, you may need to make sure all the paint is cleaned out so it doesn't discolor the lighter color. Do the same procedure of flushing it out, you just may have to repeat this until all the color is out.
Please, what can I do when the paint is doing bubbles , air is coming out but no the paint !!! Please, I'm offering the service but I'm no able to perfom it , thanks in advance
Another possibility Check the tiny nozzle over the needle (the part the little spanner undoes) use a pin or similar to clear the paint that’s in there if any Replace very carefully only tighten it til you feel resistance otherwise you can double thread the plastic washer on there xx
To clean your airbrush, we recommend using water to rinse out as much paint as possible, but then you can use On To The Next Polish Remover (acetone based polish remover) to fully clean and dissolve the paint.
Never ever airbrush or used a sponge to ombre but will try after a few of simple varnish practice it takes a steady hand to do it but I got a tip from the teacher
I am experiencing what others are saying. It’s depressing. No matter what I do this airbrush will NOT spray. It’s actually clogging and the tip keeps vibrating off. I bought the kit on Black Friday and in the kit there was ABSOLUTELY NO paint. I had to purchase some separately. 🥺
This was great in detail showing how to clean. Thank you
❤️❤️
Karen Is amazing ! Thanks for the demo!
She sure is!
Great detail. Thanks for being so thorough!

De nada! Saludos! ❤️💖
Yeah!!! Karen!!!!!!!! Great demo!
So good
I have never used an airbrush .. haven’t gotten trained ... thanks for the uplaod
Welcome
are the steps for cleaning the same for acetone and gel polish mix?
Because of the chemical nature of that, we do not recommend using it in the airbrush. With airbrush techniques, the gel can get on the skin or in the air you are breathing and this is not recommended.
cut to 4 mins and save some of your life folks.
Do you guys not sell these anymore? I’ve watched several videos on them but can’t find yours anywhere 😫
🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️. Will using alcohol rust the parts or is water best?
Alcohol may not be ideal for cleaning as it isn't a strong solvent and can be corrosive. Water or airbrush cleaners (generally have solvents but are non-corrosive) will be your best option.

Nice
Thankyou needed this!
Can you demonstrate how to use multiple colors on the same client. I find it tough to clean it quickly if I'm changing colors.
Yep we have a video with our mentor Johnny doing multi color design
Thank you for demonstrating this, so when I get an airbrush I'll know how to keep it in working order.
Welcome hope this helped!
What is the residu you use to clean everyting ?
Can u use regular uv gel polish in the air brush?
Gel polish is generally too thick to be used in the airbrush. It tends to clog the machine & doesn't spray well.
Thanks for sharing this helpful tutorial....😉
❤️❤️
Awesome demonstration!!! 🙌🏻💅🏻💗
So good

Polish remover, and yes we sell replacement needles

Does the washer matter in regards to the machine? I don't remember losing it but don't have one my machine..
Yep. You can contact customer service if lost

YoungNailsInc most of my clients have gel polish color on first. I’ll try the matte topcoat but I think it’s going to get too bulky. Thanks.
Can I ask what airbrush you use? I am looking to buy one
that one is our airbrush. unfortunately, it has been discontinued.

Went to the website to purchase but the airbrush wasn’t there. Are you no longer selling it?
Hi guys! Where can I purchase a little black washer ? I lost it and now the paint in the well is bubbling. I can no longer use my airbrush 😢

Hi, can I use acetone to clean out my airbrush?
Yes!
Be careful make sure you remove the gun from the compressor. The acetone will destroy the finish.
how do you clean between colors?

This procedure right here. Bubbles indicate a clog so follow these steps even let it rest in acetone for 10/15 min
@@youngnailsinc thanks 😻

Can a spray bottle with water be used to clean the gun in between clients?
Yep, if it gets backed up though the acetone is necessary
Is the airbrush still being made by YN?
It is no longer available.
Where do I get another needle? I accidentally stabbed it into my nail bed trying the clean it and now there’s a little bend at the tip .
Youngnails.com we sell replacement needles

❤️❤️
I having the worst time lining up the airbrush gun and the air compressor. Anyone have any tips?
The neck part sits loose even when completely attached
But you have to have the right tools
Yep
As far as I know the airbrush is used for design including ombre
Yep
Stencils too 😍
