Funny that Steve Earle actually had a song off his album I Feel Right, called More Than I Can Do, which was written from the perspective of an obsessed ex-boyfriend or something along those lines. So, Earle tapped into the mind of those stalker personalities like Travis Bickle (Taxi Driver). That one song may be where Lydia got her inspiration from, but idk for sure.
+Kent Vodden -his son is Justin Townes Earle (middle name a tribute to Townes Van Zandt). I've seen him perform, very talented. One funny thing he said is that he and his father hate the song "Copperhead Road" and will never play it, which surprises people since it's one of Steve's best known songs.
