As a player of a male Miqo'te with Face 4, it sure was quite the surprise when this video informed me that I was gay! You'd think I would have noticed before now.
Im the ultra rare Roe that has small boobs on the slider. A lot of people actually get confused when shes in heavy armor and one asked "how can you get male roes to have a chest that small?" Had me rolling.
This is too relatable. Playing a femroe with the boob slider on minimum, muscle composition and max height. Never used Fantasia, I am too attached to her.
I picked lala solely as a joke, because I wanted to start as a tank and mashed potato in a tin can looked amusing. My friends told me I would change and there's a Fantasia at the end of ARR waiting for me, yet now I can't. It just feels so jarring to play as any other race when I get a chance during some solo duties. Smol speed is the way. Cute as well. Can barely see glamoured shoes, though.
as a lala tourist (not terrorist) who occasionally swaps over, i understand. it was very jarring to go back to catgirl this latest time around, and i’m sure i’ll be back to lala eventually… the smol is just too powerful
I dont think I can ever be anything but a Lala after seeing my wol in all the msq cutscenes. Its just too good knowing everyone is relying on this tiny lala they have to look down at when talking to. I'd kill for a mod that makes people kneel when they talk to us in cutscenes xD Also bonus points on the cutscenes wherein a lala wol menacingly waddles into view and everyone is shocked/amazed or threatened by us
@@EurrikkeEdward I was gasping for air from laughing during HW cutscene, when antagonist asks: "What are you?!" and there's that gray filter with menace, but it's just a lala. Or the last solo duty of 6.0.
@Eurrikke Edward Agreed. Besides the hilarity of the menacing waddle stomp, Lala have the best emote/reactions in cutscenes. We're just so much more expressive!
As a male viera. All you have said is mostly true. I haven’t changed race but the hat thing does bother me. But the recent glam from Tataru’s grand adventure has me in love! And yes my golden eye blinds me from mechanics. This is why I always look up a guide because I know I suck at pattern seeking.
How Viera cope is that we clamour onto any headgear that works, and repeatedly reuse it for every single glamour plate we have if it has even a shred of cohesion to it.
Eh, my viera has a white eye, she can't see that well, main reason why she's a tank, paladin no less, in the boss face praying to the holy spirit to hit it, and sometimes just summoning way to many swords so she's sure that she is hitting it. Also exceedingly heavy armor that is so white and large that even if she didn't see her teammate for a spread mech they WILL see her. Tall ass bunny gurl with contrasting black and dark purple hair with a platinum full plate running around chucking holy swords. Pretty hard to miss. Also for some reason her lack of good vision made her other senses pretty sharp, so her balance is stupid good so she can run with stiletto style greaves just fine.
I must be the odd giraffe out, lol - I've been playing an Elezen for two years and still going strong, and I headcanon him as Ul'dahn, not Ishgardian, funnily enough.
Same here. In my personal WoL headcanon, my Elezen originally came from the far east by birth, but after saving the world post-EW, he came back to Ishgard and took up sword and shield as an honorary House Fortemps knight.
One of the reason why I went from Elezen to Hyur because I realized that the headcanon I had for my character didnt fit at all with the Ishgardian aesthetic, lmaoo (she's a hot-headed monk)
Female Viera are strange. They're not actually a common choice, but they have a subculture where they congregate together. I told my partner about this and they've noticed it, too. Viera enjoyers just tend to gravitate towards each other subconsciously and form 'tribes'. I think it's funny considering how tight-knit and xenophobic Viera tribes are in the lore. You don't even see five Miqo'te together with no other races, but if you hit up a venue you'll sometimes see a half dozen Viera women relaxing together. Male Miqo'te so often have gay men playing them. So, so, so often. They're usually out and proud too, rocking booty shorts or fabulous glam. Female Roegadyn, conversely, have so many lesbians playing them it's insane. You can practically presume any femroe you see is a lesbian by default. Almost always have a relationship with a little Miqo'te or a heckin' big Viera queen. Probably has a lot to do with their side of the coin as lesbians IRL. Hyur men never speak, and often play on console. When they do speak it's to ask a question succinctly and then go about their day. There's a lot of paladins. Roegadyn males are either the nicest guys you've ever met and great at the game, rocking tasteful glam that looks like something realistic, or they're complete joke characters that meme about and never do any serious content. Hrothgar who reach level cap tend to focus pretty hard on being good at the game. You almost never see a Hrothgar floor tanking. I can almost guarantee they're a furry as well. It's as if all the skilled furries play Hrothgar, and the derpy ones go with Miqo'te. Female Hyur are usually glam obsessed and always lead down the road to ultimate raids. They'll spend weeks mastering an ultimate to have a shiny weapon for their glam, but otherwise are usually lazy about the game. It sounds weird, but you probably don't want these 'X Legends' in your savage raids. Female Elezen usually play relaxed ranged classes, with the most intense being the odd bard. They're dancers, bards, and summoners who only play other classes to get level cap. Their adventure plate is always one of these three classes. Male Elezen can be quite similar, but they do have a subculture of dragoon and paladin superfans. Lalafell are cursed because they either are in on the joke or not, and you never know which it is. They either take themselves too seriously and rage at the hint of a popoto joke, or they're cracking wise and bantering about biting ankles. They have a bad reputation in the RP community due to the former being super ERP creepy in spite of having the bodies of toddlers, and are often banned from venues (or even free companies). Most secretly enjoy being small because it feels like you run fast and jump super high. Speaking of creepy, male Au Ra are almost all played by straight women. You know the kind I mean; they love supernatural romance thrillers and probably fantasized about werewolves or vampires for their teen years. Unfortunately, they took all courting advice from said content, and often lurk about and creep on characters, making them uncomfortable. They're the ones who tend to overreact and get banned from venues when they're rejected, or pushy with the staff. Female Au Ra, on the other hand, are a coin flip between being played by males or females. A lot of trans people play female Au Ra for some reason. They glam like crazy, usually are obsessed with housing and/or venues, and almost always have their height slider set to minimum and heterochromatic eyes. A lot of them are reapers. So, so many reapers. Male Viera are probably the most mixed bag race of them all, likely due to being the newest so a lot of people mess with them. You never know how they'll act. I'll say that a LOT of women play male Viera, and a LOT of men who play male Viera were convinced to by their partners so they can have a bunny boi. Unfortunately, this means the creepy male Au Ra discussed above hone in on them a lot...
I've played two characters, and both have been female Hyur (one Highlander and one Midlander). I think you're pretty close to the mark, there! I wouldn't quite call myself obsessed with glam, but yes, I do enjoy playing dress-up with my little dolls. I've bought several cash shop outfits between the two of them (including an Eastern Lady's Togi for each of them), but I don't think I'd go so far as to run ultimates for a cool-looking weapon because I could indeed perhaps be described as a bit lazy (although I prefer the term casual). If my character looks good and I'm pulling my weight in regular dungeons, I'm happy. I'll probably never have a "Legend" title, but that's okay because my favorite of all the titles I've seen so far is Imperial Nuisance. Sure, everyone gets that one, but I use it because it makes me smile. Oh, and I plan to buy another cash shop outfit right before I log in tomorrow night because of that sale they're running right now. $3.50 for another bikini to work with? Now I know why the Loch Ness Monster is always pestering Chef's parents for exactly that amount of money. He must play a female Hyur, too.
@@biffwellington6144 It's fun how much of a coin flip the style of Highlanders and Midlanders can be, especially their racial gear. Dommy Mommy vs Cutie Patootie.
Trans Fem Au Ra player here. Literally 100% me, except the height slider (near max), but I'm convinced it barely does anything for female Au Ra anyways. Just last week was on a date looking through housing, because I'm new to the game and don't have the gil to have my own.
In my defense for the blush, I only use it along with lip coloring because the face will look dull and lifeless without it. Adding that pop of color gives extra dimension to your character.
I just recently did this too because I switched to the newly added shaved hairstyle and my character looked too butch without a little color (but I chose a flesh tone for the blush and not pink).
I would like to add to the lalafell part that outside of raids and dungeons, lalafell come in 4 different personality types: 1. Pure cinnamon buns 2. Meme machines 3. Chaos gremlins 4. Limsa lalas(also known as bad potatoes)
It's weird, I never thought about the heterochromia thing before. I actually made my character look like how I did relatively at the time, the quirk was I had an inoperable cataract in one eye so I reflected that as best I could.
I feel like hrothgars tend to be the chillest people in the game, and for that reason I feel obligated to uphold that perspective outlook for others. If I get caught salty, I'll let my bros down, can't let that happen. So I usually act overly enthusiastic in chat whenever possible lmao.
honestly, in my experience hrothgar seems to be the most variated across every DC/world i've visited. on my home world, nearly every single hrothgar i've met is gay and they always greet each other in passing with /pet (seen this many times as the friend who got me into xiv is a gay hrothgar) yet on the other hand, i've been to different DCs and i have met some incredibly horny and mostly straight hrothgars, so i'm not really sure what to make of them now. luckily on my home world they're all chill.
As a Hrothgar player, honestly I picked it as it seemed to be the most “Fantasy” looking race to me, then immediately became a Warrior main that I usually switch up with either Summoner or Dancer for DPS. Honestly one of the other reasons I went with Hrothgar is because I liked the beard and Stache combo he has, sure other races have beards but I guess Hrothgar’s jaw structure makes the beard appear longer overall to me, kinda sad we miss out on a ton of hats but eh, can’t win ‘em all.
you know what, i actually like that. you are (if a heterosexual man) probably one of the few who picked hrothgar just for that reason, but i DO think they look cool, especially in armor their default idle stance is a bit rough though. they've got kind of a WoW orc hunch...
@@specstreTV Yeah the hunch is a bit weird, it’s not horrible and while it does make sense because of the Lion/Tiger base it does feel, jittery at times? Don’t really know what else to describe it, armor does look really neat on it and sense apparently female Hrothgar are being released eventually I’m kinda interested to see if there’ll be a slight armor patch that’ll give Viera and Hrothgar more hat options when that releases, kinda want a Beret for the military outfit glamour.
@@specstreTV we exist! I went hrothgar because the armour sets I like look way stauncher on a hrothgar than they do on anything else, and they had really interesting lore and naming conventions. I didn't really go in intending to play a hrothgar, but after spending hours in character creation, that's how it shook out. My girlfriend mains a femboy miqote healer and people just assume we're a gay couple; based on 99% of the other hroths I've met, I can understand why they would make that assumption
I knew since I started playing that I would swap to male Viera (October before Endwalker released) and haven’t regretted my choice since. Even before the swap (and the only time I used a fantasia) I never used hats because I liked seeing my characters face. So really, I just have more space in my glamour dresser for other things since I don’t have to worry about them 😌
As a super rare Elezen player (only one I have seen in my year and half of playing), I must say, you are correct about the Ishgard part. My favourite expansion is Heavensward, followed by Shadowbringers.
My character is a Mi'qote seeker of the moon with ashen grey skin, and short white hair with black highlights. There was no deeper thought behind it, I just thought the combo looked good. She also has blue/green heterochromatic eyes. My own eyes look like they're both blue/green, in a pattern not dissimilar from Limbal Rings. She's never been fanta'd, but after several years, I did have had Vaindelyne make the highlights even darker, add a few freckles, and pick a slightly different but still short hairstyle The idea there was to make it look like she's changed and matured a bit over the whole saga from ARR to EW. IMO, the perfect callout for players like me is that we basically made our ideal girlfriend.
my most played miqo is very similar, but with braided blue hair which frames the face and matches the face paint in a way that makes her skin look blue as well. I don't think I had thoughts about reasoning. She has brown eyes because.... well, I thought it looked good. I felt like blue eyes would be too much of a self-insert and the first character i made was a redheaded blue eyes catgirl that looked basic as fuck and not very cute. I've occasionally changed her up a bit with the aesthetician but i always go back to her original style. I feel like she's a side of myself I can actually be proud of tbh.
OMFG, were sharing very similer brain cells with us making subtle changes to dentote aging/experiance in my case i added Scars over STB & and again in EW ( square add more scars) and same call out would work XD
As a duskwight I would like to correct this misinformation, we actually exist we are all simply hiding in the Mun-tuy bean cellars as that’s the only existing race lore in game.
probably the 2 most different clans ouf any race! off the top of my (tired) head, i can’t think of any other clan that fundamentally changes models/animations-it’s usually just minor coloring/markings/flavor stuff
I started as a free player during lockdown. I chose miqo'te, but as soon as I saw Hrothgar I was like "why am I being a cat boy when I COULD be a Tiger Man!?" Also, Hrothgar are the only race with a truly triangular torso for the purposes of looking ripped or glams. Roegadyn and Hyur are beefy but in a "functional muscle" kind of way, with square-ish torsos. Elezen, Miqo'te, Au'Ra, and Viera are all skinny bois with rectangle torso.
@@AmellsGrace The body shape of a person can significantly impact how athletic they look. Having a chest that is a lot wider at the top and tapers to the waist/hips creates what is called a triangular torso. It means that your chest and back muscles are very well developed, and that you aren't storing a lot of extra fat around your middle, or at least that is the impression. In reality your body shape is heavily influenced by genetics, and you can be very fit and still have a "square" or rectangular torso. However, in something like a video game where aesthetics matters a lot, I'd rather have the more athletic appearance of a triangular torso on my character. If you google "triangular versus square torso" you can see a lot of examples of what I mean.
Hrothgar is very much true in my case Started as a catboy, i now play Sage as my main healer (and SAM tbh) And hell the stereotype of our players is 1000% true (every single one of us is as straight as a silly straw)
This was one of the more unique takes ive seen about race/design choice. And seems to have an actual level of accuracy (not 100% but a lot better than most vids I've seen. LOL) You got me. I play male miqo. Very fashion conscious. 👌
Am I the only female Hyur midlander player who just picked someone kinda sorta similar to herself because she just wanted a nice power fantasy to live vicariously through? She's even kinda shortish even though I'm short irl.
I was going to pick a Hyur or Highlander… but some god awful reason the Miqo’te race was peaking my interest and now I have a male and female Miqo’te that have a shared backstory and quest in FFXIV. I love them both
I spent so long making sure my face 1 Raen girl was perfect. And it paid off, because I absolutely love her and have never seen another Au Ra like her. She has silver-blue hair and blue eyes, which fits with most well put together glamours, but her black mage glam (my main) looks like it was literally made for her and hasn't changed since HW save for the dye. I'm so attached to this character, I tried to fantasia into a buff highlander lady but had to go back after a couple months. I can't put her into skimpy clothes because it feels strange, like seeing my own sister in a bikini. This is probably unhealthy.
great video! I chose a very small female lalafell because I thought it would be funny to see a silly cute face in the very serious and dramatic cutscenes, despite my general preference to play male characters as a Brotherly Love enthusiast. I regret not choosing a male viera that should be both fashionable and give me double meaning to many many scenes. It sometimes suck to be too smol, you can't barely see your culinarian super cute little oven. When in housing, the cottage looks pretty much like a mansion. It's also harder to play overall, I guess, if you suck like me, lol ('im in the bad lala group demographics). BUT, after so many hours playing my adorable lalafell, I can't see the character with a different face and stature.
hey, as long as YOU'RE enjoying your race, that's all that matters :D i loved lala when i was playing it, because as you said, it's just such a silly race. their animations never failed to make me laugh. and of course, there are some perks -- for instance, the red panda sitting on your head rather than your shoulder like all the "normal" races. can't beat that.
Being a lala means you're one of the easiest races to tell where your hitbox is (because we're low to the ground and tiny) lalas have tactical advantages!! And Yeah houses are like mansions for us, but you can make a medium house with like 10 rooms in it 👀
I also play Lala and let me tell, you know EXACTLY where your hit box. I have found some truly nail-bitingly small safe spots in raids multiple times that other races didn't dare attempt. Its also fun to pretend to get offended whenever someone in the game says something like "I thought you'd be taller".
@@danifol2207 Not just headpats, the free cookies I keep being given! So many people just hand me cookies! I have a stack of over 100 of them. I never bought them, I never made them, I eat them and keep the exp buff rolling constantly.
I play a female Hellsguard Roe with warm toned dark skin, navy blue hair with white tips, yellow eyes, and white freckels! I started out as a male roe but I really wanted to try it out as a joke but got really attached to her. I do miss my big guy sometimes though. I got a lot of commendations when I played dancer as him lol. I chose her design based off of the aetherial sea before I had even started, I just thought the space-like aesthetic looked really pretty :)
I made my character's height my exact height when I started playing, so naturally now that I'm older my character is basically a window into how younger me would've more or less looked compared to everything else in the world.
This is Fem Roe slander. We do not just automatically jump to the bust slider and crank it to max. We crank the height slider to max first THEN the bust slider to max.
Female Viera here! I actually made the swap from M/Miqote, and while the hat thing is a bit bothersome, nothing a cute, tastefully placed flower can't fix!
Started as a male huyr and played it till the end of HW, then i stumbled upon a few fem roes in 2b pants and they also wore the skankiest outfits and oh boy i was sold and after that i used multiple fantasias until i finally made the perfect fem roe and i have received praise for being one of the "good looking ones", i guess its due to me not using the superior face 2, that originally was my #1 pick until i changed my mind (For fem roes the Sea Wolves seem to be the only race option that allows you to make some sexy fem roes, since the other race...not even i could make any of their face options look good so its a damn irritating thing for me)
Late but its the appointed jacket and varsity flat cap! You can buy both from the marketboard or get the appointed jacket from a lvl 80 sidequest called A Gift from House Leveilleur and craft the varsity flat cap with a lvl 90 weaver.
should do a thing stating this truth too: 90% of ultimate weapon showers(idle with weapon) and savage mounts of current tier are majority paid clear people
I chose female hyur midlander, and specifically, face 1 and type 3 eye shape. Everyone's making their character notably with more rounded eye lines, and while they're more prettier, they're also the most common. Female mi'qote is, imo, has the prettiest eyes of all characters in this game for it's semi-animalistic features and it's sharp look. Female Au'Ra, on the contrary, has more gentle eyes which is really nice with certain themes such as elegance. Female Hyur midlander is mostly normalized human look, and to compensate for it's lack of uniqueness they have to be accompanied with heavy eye liners and thicker eyebrows.
I didn't particularly feel too called out with the fem!Highlander Hyurs (you are right about the modding however) but I swear the bit about hair colors and hairstyles came for my throat. Yes, I'm a filthy casual who's very invested in the story and if you let me, I will ramble for hours about my wol like some kind of proud parent. I'm one of those players who added white streaks to my wol's hair after Innocence and noted that it made her look like the other Scions.
I want to know where all these fem!Highlander mods are. I'm happy with my girl vanilla (except lashes, I gotta have my lashes) but it would be nice to have some options.
@@Korynith I said the same like. I literally find more mods don't have us than do. :( I feel like they don't know any highlanders and just didn't know what to say?
Thanks for featuring my adventurer plate. 😂 What you said about Elezen is true. You won't find any other red headed Elezen either besides the two that I play. Lmao (there's so few of us that we usually all know each other too because I recognize most of the others 😂)
I can't believe how accurate the Viera section was, I played Mi'qote for ages before switching to a bunny girl, although the hats in the end killed it for me after switching back and forth like 4 times before making the decision to stay as a cat girl.
I originally started playing Roegadyn as a beefy bepomped marauder, but over time evolved into more of a rugged bepomped gentleman . I take pride in being the only Mroe player who uses the pompadour hair without an ounce of irony. My first character was a catboy though, dropped him in the river when I started the game again a year later.
When I started playing I was a viera fan who changed to a male Elezen player due to the hat glam issue, I have no regrets at all! I adore my fashionable elezen who has the iconic gyr abanian plait!
I started as a Lalafell because I wanted something close to leaving out my life as a HousePlant because I love just making people question how a plant is playing video games. Then came Endwalker with male viera which I’ve been saying was gonna happen since shadowbringers. Too which I made the joke that I chugged down growth formula and became a viera.
I played a male Miqo'te for years until they released male Viera. I don't think I will be switching back anytime soon. I actually tried to go back for a bit, but instantly missed my Viera. I've tried out a few other races, I dislike how the only height choice for Au'Ra male is way too tall, I don't hate Elezen, but the weird neck bobbing thing they do when they run is just something I can't live with. I lost a bet and had to play Lalafell for a while back in Heavensward, I surprisingly really liked it. I swear they feel so much faster than other races by default. I'll add one thing I've noticed about Lalafell. Character names. Lala players tend to have a funny name, cute name, or some kind of meme name.
It's the smol things in life that matter. I will never change from Lala! Thanks for not hating on the popotoes ❤ I feel we always get the short end when it comes to videos like this.
Alright, so all your descriptions of lala's are 100% spot on with my best friend who plays. He's insanely good at the game, no matter the job he plays and has the naruto whiskers and I've almost never seen him die to a mechanic (literally its ridiculous, I've even tried to kill him with tank busters etc an he dodges em) Lol.
Hey! I play Elezen & Duskwight! Ever since I started playing in 2019! That's got to be a record for resisting changing to Catgirl, right? 😆 One time I got a dungeon roulette of four Duskwights! 😱
I started as Xaela Au Ra, fell in love with Heavensward, hated Stormblood, but I was too immersed in the character I created to fantasia to Elezen, so I just made up my own lore about my character's father being raised in Dravania. But if I ever make an alt I'll probably go giraffe.
Wait, you can’t have a 50-50 split at either end of a bellcurve. The end of the bellcurve reserved for less than 1% of the sample, each. The whole point of a bell curve is that a vast majority fall in the middle, that’s literally what the graph shows XD
I started the game as a female Elezen since I normally play elves. But I couldn't get past the neck thing, so I rerolled as Lala because they look like "tiny elves with those ears!" :P
I'm a face 4 male miqo'te and I agree so much, I didn't use the most popular faces because they looked too young for my character- whereas face 4 I think makes a very handsome catboy :D I've never changed it since shadowbringers release
As a hyur mid lander I can confirm that I'm very special and unique. The fact that I decided to main SAM and PLD make me scared of how spot on that video was.
I wish the live the himbo lifestyle and nothing but male Roe does it for me. Seeing my hulking giant in fishnets and rabbit ears makes me so happy, and then it's back to 80 pounds of platemail for the dungeons.
I'm a max height female Au Ra, but only because I wanted my character to be the exact same height as me - so technically my Au Ra is "tall" but that really means 160cm. Which is pretty short irl. But yes, I am very much into housing.
Imagine my surprise when i found out that female Au'Ra are 4'9 minimum and male are 7.1 maximum.... That's like the difference between Snooki and Shaq. Seems like there would be some mechanical issues there. lol
I also made my Au Ra my own height, but since I'm very short, my Au Ra is pretty short too ♡ And yet I still sometimes feel like a giant because my friends are at 0 height slider on theirs, so next to them, I'm always the tallest 😅
Elezen is in the 3% of the general population, and Duskwight is even rarer than their Wildwood cousins. Source: My OCs are Garlean Duskwight, and Ishgardian half-Wildwood & Duskwight
I picked female Hyur because I didn’t want my character being too cutesy, if that makes sense? It’s a shame the only cool looking female options are on highlander and Roe because I also don’t want my character looking too tough. Ugh, the Goldilocks dilemma. But now I’m contemplating changing to cat girl because I feel so left out as a Hyur. xD
I don't know. I have a Male Miqo'te alt, but I'm straight. I'm not sure what face number it is, but I picked the one that makes him look older with hair, facial hair, and markings to look more gruff. Fashion style, 2 types, mild formal event and casual lonewolf with a pinch of hardcore. My main is a Female Miqo'te. In looks, other than the odd eyes(2 different shades of purple), she's about average as they come no makeup whatsoever. Originally wanted to be a Viera but I didn't own ShB at the time and picked the race that was easier to create. Style, I jump between royal knight variants, streetwear, and vacation casual. To add one more thing about the odd eyes on my character, originally I was changing my hairstyle and one eye color at a time when I make to another expansion. You know, ARR to HW and so forth. Wanted end up with both eyes white by the end of ShB but some reason, I forgot about it and left it that way as it is today. A little bonus, on my old account I started out as a Female Roe and honestly, I like the facial structure of both the Male and Female Roe. Not sure why I didn't create another one on the new account though.
Idk my Hyur/midlander is very unique loooking and has little correlation to Ardbert in face funny enough and I always get compliments on his design and glam from random people almost everyday! Makes my heart happy to see people take notice of how hard I worked to make his design outside the norm 😅
Yeah, you're right. My entire friend group all play fem Miqo'te and we are all guys. Except for one, because he wanted to be special and chose Lalafell.
Can't never get over the look of female Au Ra's Nose and elves ears > cat ears My main motivating factor for playing female duskwight elezen is a Reddit post of art of someone's Redmage Female duskwight elezen. From then on, the decision has been made
M-Roe Scholar. Happy dancing occurs when the cohealer is also a M-Roe. Doubly so in alliance raids if the tank is the tiniest female Lalafell. The perfect raid squad.
lmao this whole video I was like "nope, sorry buddy, I guess I'm special" until you started hitting me with the gyr abanian plaits hair and styled for hire truths. 😭😭 You didn't have to come for my throat SO HARD MY GOODNESS. It's not my fault those 2 hairs are the best in game!
As a sprout currently playing a max height male Roegadyn with an Electra Heart-era Marina-inspired heart tattoo under my eye who is Very Homosexual, I feel very seen
Okay, as a Highlander main you DID NOT have to go for my jugular. In all things said and done, I'm really not that bad, and I'm pretty bare bones compared to others
Me in a nutshell Step 1: choose busty feamle character step 2: create 16 cute/ sexy glamours Step 3: find full armor, put it on them and never change back
I am a male Viera and male irl, big bisexual, and special love for femboys, don't plan on change race but I was an Elezen before Endwalker and I just miss having hats and full helmets.
I fit absolutely none of these stereotypes (long time fem-viera played by female, bright purple hair but very into MSQ / scions) but I still believe this video is 100% accurate, I am simply an anomaly. Every hrothgar ever is either a super good raider or a flamboyantly gay dude, sometimes both.
The contrasting hair highlights and choice in female Au Ra checks out, but I've had my character wear a visor for so long, I legit couldn't tell you if they have heterochromia or not.
That adventurer for hire hair thing was unusually accurate, even if that's just what I had on fem miqo'te before switching to male viera as a treat over a year ago (although the part of switching back to miqo is also getting to me recently because I have two fantasias stored up thanks to graphics update freebies). I label this curse as "Inside you are two WoLs"
loved this video and just wanted to say, your Kitty does look gorgeous, I love how her lighter hair matches her darker skin tone & eyes! Best wishes from a tall Viera player who is very smol IRL :) (myth confirmed)
Minimum-height Lalafell turned ult raider turned female xaela au ra (straight male btw) and also minimum height This is terrifyingly accurate, one thing you missed is us xaelas are not only raiders, housing enjoyers, glam enjoyers, but also batshit insane
I am a male Hyur, I main Bard, and I'm not planning on changing either anytime soon. My height is below average, my hair is even shorter than Ardbert's, and all I have is a scar on my cheek. I'm not sure whether I feel related by any of this or not, but I know I wasn't trying not to.
As an IRL short man playing max height female au'ra *and* max height female viera (both with highly contrasting hair color vs. highlight color, AND both with heterochromia), who is a casual player who never steps foot into Savage except ones two expansions ago for glams (LITERALLY did that a month ago for Omega Fists) because I can't ever get out of the way of boss mechanics............. thank you. Also the best outro I think I've ever seen on RUclips in, like, a decade and a half. I would give you my subscription but you already have it. P.S. having two characters means the Viera will not ever be fanta'd. Also, never played catgirl or elezen before making the female au'ra, so ha!
unironically what i love about FF is even though so many of us have different interests, it’s still fun for all of us :D glad you felt seen and ty for the kind words ❤️!
I could handle the joke about nobody playing Duskwight Elezen, but the jab about short people cranking the height slider all the way to the top hit me like a fucking truck thats a personal attack istg great video!
When I first started playing, I was a female Elezen, changed to female Miqo'te and stayed a female Miqo'te until I saw an NPC that looked exactly like my character, went from ARR (post Ultima weapon) to post Endwalker as one, changed to Lalafell after that because up until then my character was truly unique and it gave me a true sense of immersion. Then Dawntrail hit along with the graphics update, and I went from a perfectly beach tanned popoto (Limsa was my starting city) to a burnt chicken nugget, so i tried to fix my skin tone to be that perfect beach tan again, but I couldn't get it right, so I went female Au ra and have no intention of going back as of now.
"femroes are almost universally played by straight men"
every single femroe i know: is played by a lesbian
you know what, i should have mentioned the very real lesbian femroe/femlander community. that 1’s on me.

i never even met any femroe mains that isnt queer
Every single femroe and femlander main ive met has been a lesbian, myself included. Who doesn't love a woman who can kick their ass?
As a player of a male Miqo'te with Face 4, it sure was quite the surprise when this video informed me that I was gay! You'd think I would have noticed before now.
Might be a face 4 anomaly. My husband is a face 4 cat boy too. I recently changed to bunny girl so I could be taller than him for once.
Similar, tho I guess I'm weird, because I use Face 2

Im the ultra rare Roe that has small boobs on the slider. A lot of people actually get confused when shes in heavy armor and one asked "how can you get male roes to have a chest that small?"
Had me rolling.
LOL I feel that, I just really like the muscle composition and height of a femroe its nice
This is too relatable. Playing a femroe with the boob slider on minimum, muscle composition and max height. Never used Fantasia, I am too attached to her.
@@bonevgm good taste, fellow kinsman.
Im also going against the grain. i play a male Roe at max hight and IRL im 6'1" (i usually consider this tall, though opinions can vary)
My Thighlander alt has mid boobs.
Can barely see glamoured shoes, though.
as a lala tourist (not terrorist) who occasionally swaps over, i understand. it was very jarring to go back to catgirl this latest time around, and i’m sure i’ll be back to lala eventually…
the smol is just too powerful
I dont think I can ever be anything but a Lala after seeing my wol in all the msq cutscenes.
Its just too good knowing everyone is relying on this tiny lala they have to look down at when talking to. I'd kill for a mod that makes people kneel when they talk to us in cutscenes xD
Also bonus points on the cutscenes wherein a lala wol menacingly waddles into view and everyone is shocked/amazed or threatened by us
@@EurrikkeEdward I was gasping for air from laughing during HW cutscene, when antagonist asks: "What are you?!" and there's that gray filter with menace, but it's just a lala. Or the last solo duty of 6.0.
@Eurrikke Edward Agreed. Besides the hilarity of the menacing waddle stomp, Lala have the best emote/reactions in cutscenes. We're just so much more expressive!
@specstre that's why I just have a Lala alt so I don't keep throwing money for race changes.
I’m the duskwight elezen male that doesn’t exist. You absolutely hit the nail on the head about the ishgard aesthetic lol
I shake your hand, fellow male duskwight Elezen enjoyer. But yeah, the Ishgard aesthetics are real 😂
Lol I literally play a male eleven duskwight and am wearing ishgardian armor on dark knight
I must be the outlier of outliers, then. Male duskwight Elezen, but who firmly eschews the Ishgardian look.
A fellow Elezen play. I won the lottery today
Adding to the elezen duskwight players (might switch once I get fantasia though)
As a male viera. All you have said is mostly true. I haven’t changed race but the hat thing does bother me. But the recent glam from Tataru’s grand adventure has me in love! And yes my golden eye blinds me from mechanics. This is why I always look up a guide because I know I suck at pattern seeking.
who needs raid clears when you have drip?
How Viera cope is that we clamour onto any headgear that works, and repeatedly reuse it for every single glamour plate we have if it has even a shred of cohesion to it.
Who needs a hat when youre beautiful /cope
:')
@@NM-ok9wb facts though
As a person who play Elezen
I must tell you. You're right about Ishgardian part lol .
I must be the odd giraffe out, lol - I've been playing an Elezen for two years and still going strong, and I headcanon him as Ul'dahn, not Ishgardian, funnily enough.
@@sharlayanarchon
It was a problem sometime being so tall it hard to take a good pic with other especially lalafell lol .
Look, it's not OUR fault that we have the sexiest city next to Old Sharlayan.
WHY DID YOU GET ME SO ACCURATELY WITH FEMALE AURAS
YES GIRL @@AscendantLizard
In my defense for the blush, I only use it along with lip coloring because the face will look dull and lifeless without it. Adding that pop of color gives extra dimension to your character.
This! I made it very faint so it's barely noticeable, but faces just look dead without a bit of blood coursing through those cheeks.
I just recently did this too because I switched to the newly added shaved hairstyle and my character looked too butch without a little color (but I chose a flesh tone for the blush and not pink).

Me who went from Elezen to Viera
I chose male Hyur and by the Twelve I'm sticking to it.
I would like to add to the lalafell part that outside of raids and dungeons, lalafell come in 4 different personality types:
1. Pure cinnamon buns
2. Meme machines
3. Chaos gremlins
4. Limsa lalas(also known as bad potatoes)
Beware the feral Lallas. They hunt in groups.
It's weird, I never thought about the heterochromia thing before. I actually made my character look like how I did relatively at the time, the quirk was I had an inoperable cataract in one eye so I reflected that as best I could.
totally valid, and it makes sense to have your char reflect irl traits :) hope you're doing better now!
I feel like hrothgars tend to be the chillest people in the game, and for that reason I feel obligated to uphold that perspective outlook for others. If I get caught salty, I'll let my bros down, can't let that happen. So I usually act overly enthusiastic in chat whenever possible lmao.
They are also all gay and are furries lol.
Kind hearted gay bros
That has not been my experience so speak for yourself
@@BaryccyonAgreed. Most Hrothgar players I've come across are either very horny, or very snobbish/opinionated and think painfully high of themselves.
honestly, in my experience hrothgar seems to be the most variated across every DC/world i've visited. on my home world, nearly every single hrothgar i've met is gay and they always greet each other in passing with /pet (seen this many times as the friend who got me into xiv is a gay hrothgar)
yet on the other hand, i've been to different DCs and i have met some incredibly horny and mostly straight hrothgars, so i'm not really sure what to make of them now. luckily on my home world they're all chill.
As a Hrothgar player, honestly I picked it as it seemed to be the most “Fantasy” looking race to me, then immediately became a Warrior main that I usually switch up with either Summoner or Dancer for DPS. Honestly one of the other reasons I went with Hrothgar is because I liked the beard and Stache combo he has, sure other races have beards but I guess Hrothgar’s jaw structure makes the beard appear longer overall to me, kinda sad we miss out on a ton of hats but eh, can’t win ‘em all.
you know what, i actually like that. you are (if a heterosexual man) probably one of the few who picked hrothgar just for that reason, but i DO think they look cool, especially in armor
their default idle stance is a bit rough though. they've got kind of a WoW orc hunch...
@@specstreTV anyone who picked Hrothgar for the fantasy aesthetic also 100% played Charr in GW2. I don’t make the rules. Can’t wait for Fem!Hroth
Just admit y’all are furries lol it ain’t that hard
She's never been fanta'd, but after several years, I did have had Vaindelyne make the highlights even darker, add a few freckles, and pick a slightly different but still short hairstyle
The idea there was to make it look like she's changed and matured a bit over the whole saga from ARR to EW.
IMO, the perfect callout for players like me is that we basically made our ideal girlfriend.
We play God better than he did every time we design cute girls in videogames.
my most played miqo is very similar, but with braided blue hair which frames the face and matches the face paint in a way that makes her skin look blue as well.
Lol Bruh… you sure gf?
As a duskwight I would like to correct this misinformation, we actually exist we are all simply hiding in the Mun-tuy bean cellars as that’s the only existing race lore in game.
No you don’t! Get back to not existing!
(Also I love your Ishgardian esthetic)
the first video of these where you actually separate the midlander and highlander, well done lol
probably the 2 most different clans ouf any race! off the top of my (tired) head, i can’t think of any other clan that fundamentally changes models/animations-it’s usually just minor coloring/markings/flavor stuff
I'm sorry, a what?
@@AmellsGrace I'm not sure which statement you are confused about.
@@TheJackOfFools the torso thing.
@@TheJackOfFools Oh. Thats extremely depressing. I honestly wish I never knew about this.
As a female Au Ra that has vibrant hair with highlights, this is shockingly accurate
I have a gay friend who plays a male miqote and his glams are kind of like what this video showed so.... I'm calling accuracy on this lol
Hrothgar is very much true in my case
Started as a catboy, i now play Sage as my main healer (and SAM tbh)
And hell the stereotype of our players is 1000% true (every single one of us is as straight as a silly straw)
we support our catmen kings
Depending on what femroth look like there is a very real chance that I join you in the future, except gender swapped
As a whisker facepaint lalafell i finally feel validated
This was one of the more unique takes ive seen about race/design choice. And seems to have an actual level of accuracy (not 100% but a lot better than most vids I've seen. LOL)
You got me.
I feel called out as an Elezen... But in my defense, it's not my fault Aymeric and Haurchefant are hot...
great video!
And Yeah houses are like mansions for us, but you can make a medium house with like 10 rooms in it 👀
@@Isissa125 the best part is when you meet another lala and you're like family instantly. I also enjoy the ocasional headpat to be honest...
I also play Lala and let me tell, you know EXACTLY where your hit box. I have found some truly nail-bitingly small safe spots in raids multiple times that other races didn't dare attempt. Its also fun to pretend to get offended whenever someone in the game says something like "I thought you'd be taller".

I went with Femroe to start with and i doubt i'll ever change. They are so cool
Started as a male huyr and played it till the end of HW, then i stumbled upon a few fem roes in 2b pants and they also wore the skankiest outfits and oh boy i was sold and after that i used multiple fantasias until i finally made the perfect fem roe and i have received praise for being one of the "good looking ones", i guess its due to me not using the superior face 2, that originally was my #1 pick until i changed my mind
(For fem roes the Sea Wolves seem to be the only race option that allows you to make some sexy fem roes, since the other race...not even i could make any of their face options look good so its a damn irritating thing for me)

Got my ass ACCURATELY, damn...
-ex-catgirl current-lizardgirl with 788/800 glam dresser and gyr abanian plait among my daily hairstyle rotation
Alright, so all your descriptions of lala's are 100% spot on with my best friend who plays. He's insanely good at the game, no matter the job he plays and has the naruto whiskers and I've almost never seen him die to a mechanic (literally its ridiculous, I've even tried to kill him with tank busters etc an he dodges em)
Lol.
Love your videos, and this one was really funny! Keep it up!!
thank you so much!! :D love to hear it
If the Viera mains don't fanta, they do crimes to compensate.
- Signed, a RP bunny boy main who definitely does not do crimes
*cries in being the sole female elezen of my FC and friend group* I just wanna be a tall pretty elf girl!
YOU GET ME 🤝
me, a duskwight elezen who left piracy to try adventuring and ended up setting a bakery at Isgard: why is everyone staring at me?
amazing vid pal x)
I vote next video is what mods each race is most likely to use. But that might get demonetized.
every hrothgar modder for some reason has very realistic nipples despite being furry
As a Lalafell with Heterochromia, I have no idea if I am good or bad. I just like tanking.
Hey! I play Elezen & Duskwight! Ever since I started playing in 2019! That's got to be a record for resisting changing to Catgirl, right? 😆 One time I got a dungeon roulette of four Duskwights! 😱
i hope after that dungeon you immediately bought that week’s cactpot tickets
"mikitee" I'm seething
I started as Xaela Au Ra, fell in love with Heavensward, hated Stormblood, but I was too immersed in the character I created to fantasia to Elezen, so I just made up my own lore about my character's father being raised in Dravania. But if I ever make an alt I'll probably go giraffe.
Wait, you can’t have a 50-50 split at either end of a bellcurve. The end of the bellcurve reserved for less than 1% of the sample, each. The whole point of a bell curve is that a vast majority fall in the middle, that’s literally what the graph shows XD
erm, uhhhh... don't think about it too hard :D
Male Hyur Midlander Paladin main from ARR to Endwalker.
Finally made the change and Fantasia'd
To Male Highlander Paladin.
I confused a Mi’quote in a dungeon the other day was the my max height Au’ra who is my self insert
Imagine my surprise when i found out that female Au'Ra are 4'9 minimum and male are 7.1 maximum.... That's like the difference between Snooki and Shaq. Seems like there would be some mechanical issues there. lol
I also made my Au Ra my own height, but since I'm very short, my Au Ra is pretty short too ♡
And yet I still sometimes feel like a giant because my friends are at 0 height slider on theirs, so next to them, I'm always the tallest 😅
But now I’m contemplating changing to cat girl because I feel so left out as a Hyur. xD
yes, join us… 🐱
Reject both, become Elezen
@@rockidayo My first character was Elezen but I couldn’t stop focusing on the long neck ;-;
dont abandon us ;w; highlander emotes are worth it
I don't know.
Ate some rocks today then watched this, sick vid I feel sick I'm gonna call up the doctor
i hope they were moon flavored
Can't never get over the look of female Au Ra's Nose and elves ears > cat ears
My main motivating factor for playing female duskwight elezen is a Reddit post of art of someone's Redmage Female duskwight elezen. From then on, the decision has been made
I play roegadyn monk and I can honestly say I have never seen another roegadyn monk
M-Roe Scholar. Happy dancing occurs when the cohealer is also a M-Roe.
Doubly so in alliance raids if the tank is the tiniest female Lalafell.
The perfect raid squad.
this is good video, I'm a rare girl femra player, who went from miqote to aura and now am happily set in aura
i admit the miqo and au ra communities pretty much have a shared passport
lmao this whole video I was like "nope, sorry buddy, I guess I'm special" until you started hitting me with the gyr abanian plaits hair and styled for hire truths. 😭😭 You didn't have to come for my throat SO HARD MY GOODNESS. It's not my fault those 2 hairs are the best in game!
As a sprout currently playing a max height male Roegadyn with an Electra Heart-era Marina-inspired heart tattoo under my eye who is Very Homosexual, I feel very seen
it took me 3 minutes to figure out what you were saying with "mickatee"...
me-koh-tey
male aura player who meets the niche of "I'm dressing the spikey man in soft dresses because that cinched waist is carrying a lot of the aesthetic."
I'm playing a Duskwight with min height sliders and I can confirm that I am, in fact, not real.
phantom bots in MY comment section??? inconceivable
Okay, as a Highlander main you DID NOT have to go for my jugular. In all things said and done, I'm really not that bad, and I'm pretty bare bones compared to others
Me in a nutshell
Step 1: choose busty feamle character
step 2: create 16 cute/ sexy glamours
Step 3: find full armor, put it on them and never change back
Also i got called out i have actually have 12 fantasias cause i know the hat issue i have😅
I am a male Viera and male irl, big bisexual, and special love for femboys, don't plan on change race but I was an Elezen before Endwalker and I just miss having hats and full helmets.
I've never had my kitty whiskered lala called out in this manner, I'm flattered you think so highly of us
you scare me.
Minimum-height Lalafell turned ult raider turned female xaela au ra (straight male btw) and also minimum height
This is terrifyingly accurate, one thing you missed is us xaelas are not only raiders, housing enjoyers, glam enjoyers, but also batshit insane
>Elezen, being into the Ishgardian aesthetic
>Me, FemElezen that went to much into the Dravanian aesthetic
I'm not gonna sugarcoat it
Akh Morn
Also, never played catgirl or elezen before making the female au'ra, so ha!
unironically what i love about FF is even though so many of us have different interests, it’s still fun for all of us :D
glad you felt seen and ty for the kind words ❤️!
I could handle the joke about nobody playing Duskwight Elezen, but the jab about short people cranking the height slider all the way to the top hit me like a fucking truck thats a personal attack istg
great video!
also the two types of lala's are memers who enjoy chaos and actual wholesome cherubs who just like looking adorable.
