@@JohnSmith-sz8qq i digress all youtubers do the sus i did some off camera exploring and on episode one they have the entire map filled out which i remind you a youtuber named waffle galaxy who is a very good youtuber check him out it took him episode 77 to fill out the extinction map and you do realize that fjordur is bigger and i have seen syntacs map its filled to the brim
@@minustheone80 syntac have turned on a setting that make the map full the moment you load in to the world. He always have that setting on cause he think it’s annoying to fill the map.

Haha with Deino's Community Day in Pokemon GO just happening, I was so absolutely confused by this comment for a second. Especially when Deino's were mostly obtained by hatching eggs before Comm. Day haha.
there are very much tameable bees on this map, i tamed 4 the other day in the bottom left island. theres literally tons of hives on the ground that have tameable bees :)
I'd never used Megatherium before playing on Lost Island. Tamed one so I'd never be out of Chitin to feed my Sino swarm. They're a lot stronger than I thought they'd be, even against non-bugs, but against bugs they rip everything apart. I'm quite fond of mine.
I found my Megatheriums in the main realm in the winterish circle in the autumn biome found like 20-25 of them there. Love your vids Syntac. I have learnt a lot from you
I’ve been spending a lot of time in the redwoods lately and I haven’t encountered a single thyla mounted in a tree! I’m really starting to wonder if that’s a thing on this map. I hope not because I’ve gotten way to comfortable flying around in the redwoods now 🤣
They spawn on the ground on fjordur, due to their redwood trees being modded to match the map I believe, there's slight differences so im guessing that's why they are spawning on the ground for the moment, im sure there will be a patch soon if there hasn't been already :)
I think Fjordur actually does have bees you can tame on it, I remember seeing a bee hive once when I was lost and ended up using it as a waypoint to find my way.
Oh yeah, it definitely does. I was telling my friend about the tameable bee thing via the queen bee because he didn’t really know about it, and as I was telling him the method I literally came across a random bee hive on my way back to base. He was very confused still when I was like “yo, just tamed a queen bee” he was still so confused
The soul ball terminal has an admin function that will destroy all wild dinos within a range. You could turn that on and set the range to be the inside of the castle area. It will stop all Dinos from spawning and any that wander in will be zapped. we have this same issue on Fjordur where the spawns seem to be unaffected in some areas by buildings (even rocks and trees respawn right next to buildings) so we had lots of creatures spawning in to our fenced off areas. Now we use the soul terminal to stop that
What's funny is 26:46 Syntac says "besides Jotunheim" thats exactly where they all are lmao I found a ton of high level Megatheriums in Jotunheim. But they're also in Midgard just around mountains and a little in the redwoods
Gearing up for the bee boss myself. I have 4 super sloths ready to go, and a velonasaur for fun. Found good high level sloths on the tops of the snowy areas. If you make a pit stop at the cave she spawns in you can pick up the honey there too. love the series, keep it up.
Had something similar to the carno happen on my world. Thought the little castle was a really neat base location so I also built there, and was peacefully setting up some crop plots when I heard loud stomps. Huh, didn't think brontos spawned or come up near here but sure, cool. Then- Rex roar. :.) The way I jumped and ran as fast as I could to my dino before finding out the rex was just chilling stuck in the wall, near the exact same spot as your carno too! The only reason I knew it was a rex (other than the roar) was because its whole tail was just hanging out the back of the wall
Always loved my megatherium. Loved it even more when I found you could safely enter the redwood forest as pretty much every creature left it alone except Rexes. Even the Thylas wouldn't attack it. I Also used to around Carno Island destroying everything to quickly level up.
I’ve been late watching these and I been wanting to leave a comment to say that dinos can spawn inside the walls of the base and that’s probably how they’re getting inside the castle. I had a Rex spawn inside my walls, luckily I could kill it relatively easily. Glad you figured it out.
I believe Thylas only spawn on the ground on Fjordur. I was so paranoid when I was flying through! I've read that's the case though. I've yet to see one in a tree, myself.

Like a tamed Theri, a tamed Megatherium is ignored by most creatures on Ark.. it's wonderful to just walk around on them and explore and be mostly left alone.. it's really peaceful. And they're omnivores, and can be switched to sitting mode. I love megatherium so I was so excited to see the title of the video 😍
Fyi : Jotunheim is nowhere near as cold as it was in the mod version. Primitive fur will probably be fine (maybe one piece of ramshackle). Have a look, I think you'll be surprised. Megatherium are all over there, as you surmised .. :)
That was super smart using the screech on the bat in the forest to see if there were too many bad creatures to drop the quetz. It's actually kinda useful. Like if a pego steals something from you and they vanish or clip into a rock like they love to do lol you can still find them. One time I cut down like half the forest and murdered everything looking for one that stole a cool bow I found and barely got to use lol. I never found him.
I have found a lot of them in the woods next to the winter biome. (when the trees change color.) There are also ALOT of fjordhawks there. 16.5 lat 35.6 lon
Bottom left of the map in the snow mountain has tons of megatheriums, I found my two 180’s there. Also R-Thylas on that island aswell and Andrews, got my breeding pairs from there, also safest place I’ve found to do the mini game for them. They spawn near brontos and stegos mostly

That entire segment with the quetz sent me insane! I've never been so frustrated with someone lol, Every mistake that could be made was. But that's ARK sometimes
The next base should be in the castle that’s in that valley. It’s just northeast of the Bifrost (portal cave) and northwest of your current fortress. You can build on every unnatural part of it. It’s that place where you found that cool cave inside of the castle that would make a great place to hold tames. There is a room in the fortress, connected to the outer wall by a massive hallway. The room has two columns. Can’t miss it. It’s the perfect place to either place gacha farms, or, like me, make a boss museum with a taxidermy of every boss on the map, every wall-mountable trophy I find, etc etc.
I also have a base in the Castle and an Argy spawned inside house and attacked me when I logged in... It was blocking the door, so I went ahead and tamed it...
The castle is great because it loads in with terrain rather than structures, so it always loads before creatures. You can see it loaded at basically any distance away on the map.
When you showed a carno was in the walls, I wonder if that's why creatures were getting in your base. If you don't mind me suggesting you could get parasaurs and put them on turret mode as an alert system.
22:25 the wall is nothing, before I was wandering around and heard something, I turn around to see an Alpha Carno stuck in the side of a giant mountain, only thing you could see of it was it's head 😂
not really on topic for the video, but I just figured out how to fabricate blueprints that require more item slots than the fabricator had, so I felt like sharing... hadn't been able to find this technique online, so here it is. get your blueprint, metal, and extra cementing paste into the fab, with some stacks of obsidian. start production of polymer in the fabricator, and for every unit produced, add 99 to the stack from your inventory. each unit produced will be an extra inventory slot, which you can place 99 more into. hope this helps people!
The maewing will lay eggs that can be used for all kibbles. If you hover over or have the name of the items turned on the egg it will tell you what kibble its used for.

But been playing in the same base location and similar tames, my friends dont play ark so it makes it feel like im playing with someone 🥲 Also a trex and allosaurus is spawned in my castle walls too. Where are good base locations
I run the same rates as you Syntac, and the world boss Broodmother on Valguero was giving me 50+ bloodpacks per hit with my Desmodus. The cave there also gives thousands per little room.
Idea to help prevent the dinos from spawning in the wall. Ghost inside the wall and put metal spike walls in them and the dinos will die once they spawn in because they will have to land on the spike walls.
Like I said about 4 to 6 videos ago, the dinos seem to be spawning inside the castle walls. Thus putting foundations along the top of it actually helps fix the issue!
Hi mate. Just a general idea for a new episode on your main cluster... Can you breed a giga-killing parasaur? Obviously including an ascendant saddle... Maybe a mate boosted pair could work? 😁😉
FYI Carno's and Allo's can both spawn in the Castle walls. So be careful about trapping tames next to the walls if the flip through they can get attacked.
Best place for Megatheriums IS Jotunheim... 😀 But they are pretty common in the Midgard snowy mountains. BTW: There are actually a couple (not as many as on other maps of course) of hives with queen bees around the map. Have seen 3-4 so far.
I've found that if you have your Dino follow you and then hit the , button on your keyboard while looking at a spot it will move there. Just a heads since you seem to be having trouble. Awesome videos make sure to have fun 👍
I'm so glad that console got an update today they unlocked all the engrams and fixed the Desmodus's night vision (you couldn't activate it while mounted previously)
First, love the videos and have really liked watching your videos, am watching this one as of writing the comment (Tek quetzals pog). Second, while I like megatheriums (I had a green one named "Weed Man" that was great on extinction, pairs great because they look perpetually high), but shadowmanes, whole an absolute pain in the ass to tame, do work for beating alpha broodmother and beyla, as well as being very strong against anything except for steinbjorn. For steinbjorn you can either cheese it with some warmth food, fur, camp-fires etc and one velonasaur, or you can bring rock golems or gigas for doing it without being lame This is basically my way of saying shadowmanes work very well for trying to complete this map.
Syntac: We have a good Anky, gonna need an Argy to make it better tho. 10 mins later, a butt load of Argies are just waiting at his base to be tamed. Man, talk about that luck huh >.>

I was out taming Megatheriums over the weekend and I found mine in the snow areas in Midgard in the bottom left and top left of the map.

The TEK Quetz has some real Robo-Toucan Sam energy, so even if it's not really a bird I think Toucan Sam or Fruit Loops is a fitting name.

Megatheriums can spawn in the mountains at the top left of the mini map but where your base is located would recomend going to jotunheim

Primitive fur is unfortunately not fine, you need something at least a little better. But yeah 1-2 pieces of ramshackle might work

It's funny that the carno spawned into the wall in your base, there's also a spot next to blue ob where a desmodus can spawn right under the floor

There are regular beehives. I've seen a few on the coast between the forest and the yellow autumn region, almost right at the center of the map.

Asgard snow area in the smaller island is a great place to find lots of megatheriums
I found mine in the snow areas. Also, wanted to point out that I discovered element shards in the abb cave! Just break the rocks, and voila

First, love the videos and have really liked watching your videos, am watching this one as of writing the comment (Tek quetzals pog).
Second, while I like megatheriums (I had a green one named "Weed Man" that was great on extinction, pairs great because they look perpetually high), but shadowmanes, whole an absolute pain in the ass to tame, do work for beating alpha broodmother and beyla, as well as being very strong against anything except for steinbjorn. For steinbjorn you can either cheese it with some warmth food, fur, camp-fires etc and one velonasaur, or you can bring rock golems or gigas for doing it without being lame
This is basically my way of saying shadowmanes work very well for trying to complete this map.

There are hive spawns in the red forrest on the north part of the main island. The ones that spawn a queen bee when attacked.
Syntac: We have a good Anky, gonna need an Argy to make it better tho.
10 mins later, a butt load of Argies are just waiting at his base to be tamed.
