I was testing it and I had my controller connected to my phone and I was looking at the TV and there was no perceivable lag. I'm not sure if Sony has just optimized the software or if Google just isn't doing something that Sony is but this is kinda disappointing.
Did u happen to test the controller lag on more 16 bit style games or arcade games, like Metal Slug or X-Men Arcade, and did the input work any better?

Why dont you install the games/app directly on your chromecast instead of mirroring your cellphone on it? since it will be running the app directly, you chop the lag.

Jared Busch my chromecast does not pick up the 5ghz signal for some reason. Latest version, bought last month.
Luis Daniel Oliveira make sure WiFi name doesn't include numbers or symbols. that's how I got it to work for me.

You'd probably get a higher score if you used a leek in your routine. Even if the game doesn't pick it up it will greatly enhance immersion.
