This warms my heart. I have two feral cats that I raised. No one can tell me you can't domesticate a feral kitten. I bottle fed(strictly to bond with) them for a week even though they were old enough to eat solids. I even rehomed an adult feral. I set out some cat food and sat on the ground next to the bowl. It took two weeks for the cat to sit on my lap. It took another two weeks before he'd let me pet him. He now lives with a family who has lots of kids and they love him ❤

I found a little kitten that was probably just two weeks old and it’s time like six months ago after work in between these two tires by Home Depot in this trailer truck it was a good thing I heard it’s meow. I would’ve never noticed that I would’ve walked past it. The thing would’ve passed away the next day it was so light it’s been part of the family since it’s a little tuxedo cat. I love it so much.

This one seemed like it was a feral kitten, so they were probably a stray to begin with

Fantastic, you gave the little baby the time to warm up to you. The look on it's face when you were feeding it instead of trying to hurt it was pretty special, it realized you were trying to help, but still had to hang on to it's toughness to say " give me some time". I hope it warmed up & opened up to you. 🥰

He's small enough that it won't take any time at all to warm up to you! 5 of my cats were rescued as kittens. They're all lovely individuals now. The oldest is 10 years, and the youngest is 2 😻

Thank you for helping this adorable kitten, I love how they suddenly realize they’re safe and it’s a good thing being with this human❤ I rescued 3 feral kittens whose mom was hit by a car, I put them in a box, hissing at me the whole time, until I gave them a bottle and a few drops on their tongue, they completely relaxed, I’ll never forget the look on their sweet faces when they realized❤

Nice job. Nothing better than saving little fellas like this. In 2017 I was lucky enough to save a little 5 week old female kitten found on the road - starving, frozen, injured and covered in mites. She is now a pristine black panther and my closest friend. She loves us to bits. And we love her.

God bless you for rescuing him. ❤ Reminds me of my boy who I just lost a few weeks ago, I found him outside very sick at the age of only 6 weeks old. I got him medical attention and took him in, he hissed at me like that for 3 days. The first time he purred at me on day 4 made me so happy. He lived a very loved and spoiled life for 15 years.

Cats instinctively know that they are more vulnerable when they're eating. Ergo a cat that doesn't trust you is never going to want to eat in front of you.
If a cat will let you stand there and watch it eat, it either trusts you or it's literally _starving._
The best way to feed a cat that doesn't trust you is to make sure that it can see or smell the food, and then back off to a distance that lets it feel safe.
Also repeatedly picking him up and sitting him down was terrifying for him. Either hold him or don't, but don't keep putting him down and picking him back up, it's stressful for him because he doesn't know your intentions.
I'm just saying.
Youre doing a great thing, and I applaud you for that; I'm not trying to criticize, I'm trying to help.
...and I loved the look he gave you when you put the milk in his mouth. It's like you could see the moment when he decided "Okay, I guess you're not *that* bad." 👍✌️
Not disputing what u said but every cat I’ve ever fed always ate right in front of me. I got 9 cats and feed countless strays. Wait, I just remembered Smokey, you are right it took him about 6 months to eat in front of me… now he’s my #1 baby 😺

Love this video! 😍 I once found a kitten taped up in a box and thrown in a dumpster. Heard his little meows. He was just as tiny as that baby in the video. I never had an animal in my life, but I took him home anyway. He was a tuxedo cat and I named him Lucky. He was with me for the next 17 years. I loved him so much. He was such a beautiful soul. I love and miss him so much. Cats are the best.😻

Thanks for giving this kittens a chance for a good life. In a few days or weeks the outside event will be just a passing thought. He's got siblings to play with. A mother cat that will teach him to be a cat..I'm hoping the mother cat takes him in as her own???

Right?! I'm disappointed by how much approval she's getting for this treatment. Obviously, it's great to know that she took it in and fed it, but that initial encounter was _not_ good. The fact that the kitten was still hissing at her at the end even after she fed it till it was full shows that it still didn't trust her. I wish people would just put the camera down and tend to a terrified, abandoned kitten the way it should be tended to.

I just rescued 4 last month. I wanted them so bad too! But I have a 22+lb male tabby; I had to keep the babies away from him. Oh, Little Boi is So Scared! Whoever abandoned him deserves some harsh karma. Thank you for helping him & trying to let him know he's Ok now! Your other cats Sure Are Kind & Helpful too!! So glad you rescued him. You should have taken him to the vet first, to make sure he wasn’t sick, etc, if a vet office was available. If you haven’t done so, I would suggest taking the little guy to the vet as soon as possible. Have him checked out, etc.

The easiest way I ever found to pacify angry babies who are being introduced to me is to wrap their little bodies in a towel or tshirt or something (so the feets don't flail) and just hold them close.
My Casval was about that size when I found him. He bit the hell out of me. Wrapped him up and gave him some cuddles and he was asleep before I even got him for his first vet exam.

You might try to “ potty” him before sleep time.
Again....the power of a woman's touch is unveiled...the love and care in Her voice and touch took the fear away from the kitten, which clearly was suffering from physical trauma.
Its amazing to me how animals know when they are being helped. Once the kitten realized you were feeding them they relaxed a little.
