I don't know why I'm just now seeing this, but this was absolutely beautiful, Dad! It was very sweet to see Great Grandma and Pappy's reaction. I'm sure that gesture spoke wonders to them. So proud to be your daughter!
That, Sir, was just outstanding. Watched this twice, second time with my wife...her words: 'Wow, what a beautiful job'.Thank you for sharing this build, story and your words.
Today I have seen the whole video again, and really it makes me feel so good to know that are people like you all that gave these wonderful persons the joy to enjoy there model A, as you have done and organized. From Us all here on the island of Curacao, god bless!
Wow! You really did a good job with that model A. You're hard work and determination payed off big time, she's beautiful. You also saved another precious piece of Ford Motor Company history. Thank you so much for sharing this. Phillip
Wonderful video my friend! You're a mighty good man and I know your grandparents and father are mighty proud of you. I have found cars like this are such a joy for each generation. So glad you got it finished for them and the joy an blessings you received from seeing them enjoy it!
My dad had a Ford Model A when I was 5 years old (1960). We called it the bumpity car. I have fond memories of that old car. Thank you for posting and sharing this, it brings back all the old memories.
Love to see old american iron restored and back on the road. Its great your grandparents got to ride in the car before they passed, must have jogged a few memories :-)
I know this is an older video but thank you so much for taking the time and showing everything from Part 1 & 2. I want to buy a '30 or '31 pickup so this is very helpful to learn all the little mechanics and moving parts. And extremely helpful if I need to restore any parts of it. It's a shame that most younger people don't really appreciate our automotive history. I think I'll be the youngest member at our local Model A club.
My dad had a 1929 model A we never got to work on it and it was really rust free except for surface rust back in the seventies. I was happy to watch you fix yours up. You did a fine job. Life is a vapor! Like a morning mist that soon vanishes, so life is short and uncertain. Because life is a vapor we should humble ourselves before God and obey His will.
Thanks for sharing! You did an outstanding job. It nice to see something like this restored to original condition instead of being turned into a hotrod.
What a fantastic trip down memory lane !! Beautiful job on that Model A, you should be proud to have it stay in your family. Thank you for producing such a wonderful documentary of your journey !! 2 thumbs up from here.
It's great to see the most important thing was your grandparents got to ride in that car in a parade. It's nice ppl appreciate your car and the work you put into it.
Check out my car from my past. It's as old as yours but it kept nice for the memory of it's first owners. This is my video 1991 Lincoln Town car my blue heaven
I watched to see the beautiful restoration, and you got me right in the feels at the end. Dirty pool sir. Congratulations, and my condolences on the loss of your grandparents.
This is the best comprehensive video I have ever seen relation to restoration work needed & completed on a Model A. Great video and a great job on your car!
i watched this batch of vids for the first time just now, very touching. i could hear the passion for this project in you narration, the car turned out great and kudos to you for remembering what is important.
You did a fantastic job. I first realized I wouldn't know how to even start one of those when I read a time travel novel. The main character went to just before WWI and got a job by proving he could start an "A"
Hi Jo Daddy. That was fantastic the Hard work and honer you paid your Grandparents. Has always I Liked,Shared and added to Playlists. All my best. Bobby
Ive noticed your channel before but, somehow neglected to check it out. My mistake. I was instantly sold after watching your first installment on your refurbishing of your gr. parents "A". You did an absolutely wonderful job with the old car, honored your folks, and created even more memories for your family. What more can a man show respect and love than to do as you have done? There is nothing amiss in both the videos you made about this project and you did it with good narration as well. Much respect and admiration. Thank you. Godspeed
Wow... nice I just viewed today. I need to do the same thing. Mine is a 29 two door . After watching all the work I'm uneash but the finished product is Worth it. Your seats fit great would you tell what year and model mini van you used please. @ 952.388.5110 l'm new to the model A world. Thanks again
I enjoy your step by step by step video explanation pertaining to the vintage Ford Model A and was thrilled to see it finally run on the road with your grandpa and grandma.......May I know those parts for the A model still available in US market......??
Yes. Did you see both videos? There are several vendors that sell parts for these. This is the one I primarily used: www.mikes-afordable.com/ They were very helpful.
Yes I did watch both of the videos.... Very interesting indeed.... I am from the Far East ( Malaysia) and have no chance to see this kind of Historical car....!
VERY good restoration job, it looks beautiful, I personally would have opted for original seats but whatever floats your boat, but besides that it looks absolutely great.
Nice job and I appreciate the hours, learning curve, the money you put into this. I'm sure not everyone who asked a "why" question meant to sound like a jerk but you handled all those questions better than I would have. Great job and if you haven't yet you should join the Ford Barn Forum. You could help guys out with your experience. Thanks for posting the video and again,,,,, great job!!!!! Oh subscribed!!
Sir.....I must commend you on a job very well done. Reminded me of when I did my 1930 Coupe. It too was finished in 2007, but it was started in 2000. Enjoy !
Congrats on getting it done. That was nice your dad and grandparents got to ride in it. Not to mention your kid getting married in the car. I hope your wife got that second date in the car by now. I kept looking at the engine wondering why it wasn't a stove bolt. Finally it occurred to me I was looking at a Ford not a Chevy.
That was an awesome vid of an awesome project 👍🏻 Seriously, it was a really cool thing to watch. I wonder, how much did it end up totaling? I’d love to do one, but would like to know how much to put aside before I start..
Just ran across this great build video, I was curious how much something like this cost to do? Parts wise that is, I know the labor would be off the charts:)
Nice that your grandfather got to see the car restored. But god, those horrible seats. After spending all that time and money why didn't you put a proper interior in it?
Uh.. thanks? At the time, I had a deadline, and original seats were not a priority. I did buy an interior kit, but have not gotten back to it. I also prefer to leave the headliner and interior panels out. I have found that people are amazed when I can show them the construction from the inside. It's a great teaching tool.
It's all good. We grew a little closer when I was a young man. I really just wanted him to remember the car, and he did. That's all that really mattered to me. I still have the car, and when I drive it, he's always on my mind.
@@JoDaddysGarage that awsome. I'm doing a tribute car for my brother it's a 66 galaxy I'm putting a 460 in it and hope to race it. I've enjoyed you videos alot. I love doing.body work

Yeah, I added the music at the time because I had shared personal and family information while I was making the initial recording. I didn't have many options. These videos were initially made for me and my family.
quedo divina pero a mi gusto la hubiera pintado de otro color que no fuera negro no le hubiera puesto alternador y ademas le falta el encausador de aire del radiador y las chapas laterales al costado del motor

I restored a Jeep (1946 cj2a) like my grandparents had on the farm but they passed before I got it finished...

I’m sure you figured it out by now but that horn is 6 V, looks like you updated to a 12 V alternator
Since so much work was put in to this project, I think it would be worth it to have original seats.
I agree. I installed these because I was running out of time. I have become accustomed to them though. Maybe one day I'll replace them. Thanks.

Thanks. Cost is debatable. I think I had $6000- 7000 just in parts.
do you still have the car?? awesome job!!!!!!!Thanks Harvey
Yes. I try to drive it every month or so.
Just ran across this great build video, I was curious how much something like this cost to do? Parts wise that is, I know the labor would be off the charts:)
If I recall, I had $6-7000 in receipts. Paint was not counted in that.
hey - neat show . thanks . like the 'A' better than the 'T' .
Wow! Absolutely brilliant. What would the value be ? Not that you would sell but if one was available so well restored .
Prices can vary up to about $25,000
Ok thanks for that
Very nice video, and great work on the 31 A. What is the color code of the light blue?
That is Grabber Blue from a 1970 Mustang.
@@JoDaddysGarage thanks for your reply.
Great job on the car. What minivan did the seats come from? I’m trying to get an old 1929 going but I need seats for it. Please reply. Thank you
