Then start focusing on small amount gigs (as they prefer fast work rather than high quality) and increase rating and experience. 3. 1:00:24, Steel Town. Yes, Junaid bhai you are totally right I am living here since 34 years. Russian used to live here, from mid-eighties to 2005 educated families were here. They had a dedicated block t in which they had a mini consulate where there were houses, clubs, snooker, table tennis, etc, dedicated for them but if we accompanied by Russians we were also allowed to visit. They used to do schooling with us specially in the Beaconhouse school system Steel Town branch. After 2010 specially the tenure of the people's party Union the Russians who came here were illiterate and very low standard they used to roam around and drink, due to the influence of alcohol they used to vomit and faint due to which lots of them started to get robed. Very good memories with them specially a Ukrainian friend of mine namely Gleb Rudneskiw who is in fact interpreter in India. People's party union, corruption, bad decisions led to the downfall of the steel mill so they went back. Russian beach etc very nice and censored memories :). High security protocol was there... And that forced the employee to make pass quickly... 😁 otherwise they make it slow like typical govt employees.... First time, dil se thanked Pakistani bus 😁😂🙏🇮🇳

Audio Level Suggestion: Your audio level on the podcasts needs to be increased. its quiet low compared to on youtube. ive checked it from different platforms (apple podcasts, google podcasts, spotify...) . i even checked different devices. i think the anty clipping filter reduces the gain from the mic. better use an actual filter (jali wala) infront of the microphone or use a deadcat over the mic, so the popping due to mic levels peaking would be reduced and you dont have to use an audio filter in post. thanks for taking this as an opinion/suggestion. love your podcasts, it has made my daily commute from RAK to DXB very enjoyable.

HOW YOU GET WORK AS A NEW FREELANCER: I am a freelance filmmaker. Firstly you have to build your portfolio. In order to build portfolio you do self made work. Let me give you my example. I shoot weddings but when I wanted to so get promotional type clients I made a promotion video on my own. From my own pocket. I used that video to tell clients that I have shot and edited promotional content before and thus they hire me as I have a portfolio to show. Hope that helps.
I am a freelancer Mobile App Developer so i can guide regarding that. 1) Make some sample project & deploy them 2) Apply on jobs/projects on basis of these projects. There are many agencies looking for cheap freelancer on Upwork/Fiverr so you can initially work with them for free / very reasonable rates. 3) In the start apply on mid level jobs only. 4) Once you have atleast 2-3 reviews. Never bid for less. Many European/ American clients get suspicious if somebody is charging too less and will never reply back. Like in Pakistan even 100-200$ is much but for them its nothing.

Girl who wrote first question. I am a med student (3rd year) too. I know seniors and teachers in med school in India can be very rude. But most of them are nice and they don't have personal grudges. It's a known fact that senior rag junior because this is still a tradition. Boycotting classmates to be in good book of senior sounds silly initially but believe me seniors would become your closet friend and would help you pass University exams and entrance too. Talking about teachers , yes there are strict teachers in every college but believe me no one fails a student just for hatred. Infact it's a headache for teachers too if any student fail because fir unke liye alag se classes aur practical arrange karne hote hai before their supply exams . You said that people hate you for being muslim . I am not sure what to say about this . I am sure there must be other muslims too on campus and in your class. Muslim are about 20 percent of our population and it can't be that you are the only muslim on the campus. Do they feel the same? You must be having many faculty who are muslim . Seek their advice . In my class there are 9 Muslim and no one hates on such silly things. We are med students. Most elite when it's come to education . If it's true then it's heartbreaking. You said that your parents got you in med college. I would assume that you are in a private clg paying lakhs every month because you can't get into govt clg half heartedly. That means all the students in your college would be from rich upper class families. Fighting on religious grounds suits illiterate and politicians . And about your family. And you should check the gigs on that specific keyword or skill that you are going to target as ur work. If its high then you can get paid reviews and can rank in that keyword/niche. U can also rank organically if u find low competition gigs with less gigs on that keyword. Hope this helps peace out!
How to get started with freelancing: I do freelance programming and websites development. My advise to whoever wants to get started it to just GET STARTED. I know there's a lot of competition and you might have to deliver more and that too at rather insubstantial amount but your target must first be get your reviews and rating to a 5 star. Once you have a few good rating and you're good. Rest assured alot of people will want their work to be done by you. And once you feel confident enough and start generating some decent revenue from it you'll be confidence in your craft and you can begin to take over larger projects and negotiate a little more freely with the client. One tip is to always clarify the details with the client so later neither you have go through the hassle of revisions. Best of luck ✌️

Another thing is alot of new people are also starting jobs on these platforms so thats where you need to focus on communication skills. ( bol kr kuch b becha ja sakta ha ) and then stand out . If you wants to apply for job do something different than others for example read job description and make a short video and pitch your job and include your previous work and send link along with details to client, if he check video your chances will be improved, this is one of example of different approaches another tip is reduce your price and give something extra, doesnt matter if you do $100 job or $5 give something extra or over deliver. There are alot of tips that i can write but its getting lengthy so may be some other day

Junaid bhai i am doing freelancing on fiver and on upwork plus job from about 2 years. Basically you need to select the category which have less saturation. Like in graphic designing there is huge market situation as we compare with automations which less people chooses. It better to find the categories which are less saturated.
upwork fiver never worked for me idk why it's more like keep on waiting and waiting and just waiting with no assuring to even get one but i see many ppl thriving on these platforms one of my frnds got her first gig literally 6 months after she started . It's a patience game man

Yes, Junaid bhai you are totally right I am living here since 34 years. Russian used to live here, from mid-eighties to 2005 educated families were here. They had a dedicated block t in which they had a mini consulate where there were houses, clubs, snooker, table tennis, etc, dedicated for them but if we accompanied by Russians we were also allowed to visit. They used to do schooling with us specially in the Beaconhouse school system Steel Town branch. After 2010 specially the tenure of the people's party Union the Russians who came here were illiterate and very low standard they used to roam around and drink, due to the influence of alcohol they used to vomit and faint due to which lots of them started to get robed. Very good memories with them specially a Ukrainian friend of mine namely Gleb Rudneskiw who is in fact interpreter in India. People's party union, corruption, bad decisions led to the downfall of the steel mill so they went back. Russian beach etc very nice and censored memories :). Audio Level Suggestion: Your audio level on the podcasts needs to be increased. its quiet low compared to on youtube. ive checked it from different platforms (apple podcasts, google podcasts, spotify...) . i even checked different devices. i think the anty clipping filter reduces the gain from the mic. better use an actual filter (jali wala) infront of the microphone or use a deadcat over the mic, so the popping due to mic levels peaking would be reduced and you dont have to use an audio filter in post. thanks for taking this as an opinion/suggestion. love your podcasts, it has made my daily commute from RAK to DXB very enjoyable.

I am a freelance filmmaker. Firstly you have to build your portfolio. In order to build portfolio you do self made work. Let me give you my example. I shoot weddings but when I wanted to so get promotional type clients I made a promotion video on my own. From my own pocket. I used that video to tell clients that I have shot and edited promotional content before and thus they hire me as I have a portfolio to show. Hope that helps.
I am a freelancer Mobile App Developer so i can guide regarding that.
1) Make some sample project & deploy them
2) Apply on jobs/projects on basis of these projects. There are many agencies looking for cheap freelancer on Upwork/Fiverr so you can initially work with them for free / very reasonable rates.
3) In the start apply on mid level jobs only.
4) Once you have atleast 2-3 reviews. Never bid for less. Many European/ American clients get suspicious if somebody is charging too less and will never reply back. Like in Pakistan even 100-200$ is much but for them its nothing.

And you should check the gigs on that specific keyword or skill that you are going to target as ur work. If its high then you can get paid reviews and can rank in that keyword/niche.
U can also rank organically if u find low competition gigs with less gigs on that keyword. Hope this helps peace out!
How to get started with freelancing:
I do freelance programming and websites development. My advise to whoever wants to get started it to just GET STARTED. I know there's a lot of competition and you might have to deliver more and that too at rather insubstantial amount but your target must first be get your reviews and rating to a 5 star. Once you have a few good rating and you're good. Rest assured alot of people will want their work to be done by you.
And once you feel confident enough and start generating some decent revenue from it you'll be confidence in your craft and you can begin to take over larger projects and negotiate a little more freely with the client.
One tip is to always clarify the details with the client so later neither you have go through the hassle of revisions.

All these platforms specially Fiverr and Upwork support new Freelancer and they show you more jobs to apply so dont lose hope. Another thing is alot of new people are also starting jobs on these platforms so thats where you need to focus on communication skills. ( bol kr kuch b becha ja sakta ha ) and then stand out . If you wants to apply for job do something different than others for example read job description and make a short video and pitch your job and include your previous work and send link along with details to client, if he check video your chances will be improved, this is one of example of different approaches another tip is reduce your price and give something extra, doesnt matter if you do $100 job or $5 give something extra or over deliver. There are alot of tips that i can write but its getting lengthy so may be some other day

Hi Junaid, the Bekaar film crew doesn't seem to care that you're working on a video, you tend to keep the background noise to min, but these guys seem to have no respect. Basically you need to select the category which have less saturation. Like in graphic designing there is huge market situation as we compare with automations which less people chooses.
It better to find the categories which are less saturated.
upwork fiver never worked for me idk why it's more like keep on waiting and waiting and just waiting with no assuring to even get one
but i see many ppl thriving on these platforms one of my frnds got her first gig literally 6 months after she started . It's a patience game man
