3:10 you should not "try to keep the exposure settings more or less the same". You should use the same shutter speed + aperture and adjust ISO to match Sony exposure (you will have to use higher ISO on Pentax). Keep in mind that Pentax uses different ISO scale (SOS) than Sony (REI). The difference in actual sensitivity between these scales is about 1 EV, so if the A7 III and K3 III look the same at ISO 6400, it means that Sony is about 1EV cleaner in reality. It is the same thing with Fuji X-T4, which uses the same IMX571 sensor and SOS ISO scale. It also took me some to find out why X-T4 ISO performance seems to be magically good. I wonder how battery life per picture compares between these two. The APS-C of the K3iii might natively use less power but additional processing could add up to around the same power drain as a full frame sensor. Yes I think that's the important part here... better detail retention at higher ISOs. However, he should have tried to use the same image for both, as the scene is not evenly lit so it's not entirely a fair test. One side of the building is lit more than the other.
The A7mk3 is a early 2018 release at 1999u$d,its available new now for much less(1699) and add 140 for monster adapter compatible with Pentax.Very soon the Mk4 Sony will come and will probably be close or perhaps equal to the Pentax price.Buying Sony gives access to Sigma/Tamrons ever developing lens range along with Sony's as well.So the system becomes reasonably priced for a FF.A new Sony menu, state of the art AF are a given.I'll wait and see what 2K buys.
I never understood all this high iso crap and why they are advertised with this "crazy feature"... who ever uses more than 16-20k iso? atleast to get a picture in some special cases...but numbers like 100 000 or more i mean the image then looks terrible either way

To be fair, sony performed better at iso test. Had more details especialy in the trees and the ground.
Typo 440 for that monster
Do you work for Sony or something?

2:17 By looking at your child's shoes, does that camera still do line skipping ? In 2021 and for a 2k € flagship, really ???
I never understood all this high iso crap and why they are advertised with this "crazy feature"... who ever uses more than 16-20k iso? atleast to get a picture in some special cases...but numbers like 100 000 or more i mean the image then looks terrible either way
Try DXO PhotoLab or DXO PureRaw their deep prime is the best noise reduction in the world.
Wow great new Pentax is slightly better then 4year old camera... Amazing... But I have k1 and a73 and k1 did same was slightly better on iso which most people never use cos anyway it's crap...
It means DSLR's pentax is still alive. Some pretenders that dslr is already dead, i just laught it off for their foolishness and ignorance..
^ Fanboy ^
Well, when two of the big three companies (Canon and Nikon) have essentially stopped DSLR production (or severely reduced it) we know the end is near for the DSLR. Pentax will probably be the only brand left selling DSLRs in the next 5 years.. But that is IF they are still around. Ricoh, for a few years now, has been trying to sell the Pentax line but to no success. First in 2017, and I think again in 2019....
@@HR-wd6cw let the fanboys buy the company and keep releasing the same models with insignificant improvements until they're basically gone (the fanboys) , so 10- 15 years max.
Let them make a circle of fanboysm happy endings.

Now my K3 ii looks so lame
problem is no body is buying dslr 2021 ... if this pentax sensor is 100x better than sony it is still useless as when nobdy is using dslr in 2021 ... better off using a film camera
Sales data for the camera industry says different.
Sounds like vinyl vs CD. Of course vinyl is better but appreciated mostly only by people with a good pair of ears.
you expect pentax to have a sales figure in 2021 ... you must be joking
Nobody is buying them because nobody is making them genius.
ya probe las sin espejo y no la verdad no me gusto!!! yo me quiero regresar a la DSLR.. y voy por esa Pentax !!! de regreso a pentax!! siiiiiii
