What about people who never got in a accident...
Where's the credit.
BS
I have every safety and other discount possible. For decent coverage, I'm paying 2k per 6 months. If I lowered my coverage, the rates would drop by less than $50. So, yes - BS
How long do houses and cars last in hurricane prone florida? Seems tons of them are damaged and destroyed every year and insurance companies need to cover that with premiums or go bankrupt.
technically, the premiums don't cover their payouts - the investment from their premiums pay those claims. Stock markets are, and interest rates were at a record high, but we're still being told the lie that they pay out more in claims than they take in with premiums @@richardtheriault9121
What a stack of horse manure! This all boils down to GREED!!!
This is precisely what happens when your state legislators FORCE the people to have insurance. The result of big insurance owning the those in power. This is preposterous and should be ILLEGAL!
This isn't because people are forced to have insurance. Technically, that should lower the rates because the risk is spread out amongst a larger group. Greed is the reason.
And the state is complicit. All those legislative special sessions to fix the problem were another stack of horse manure. They just stripped our coverage and stacked the deck in favor of the insurance companies who pay off our representative.
Thank the idiot governor for that
If you have a mortgage, the bank will make it mandatory for you to have homeowner's insurance to protect the bank's investment. I really can't blame them.
Florida were the poor pay taxs and the Rich live tax free
So glad I got out of that place
I'm also glad you left.
I left to. It's a horror there. Hoopla
Little California
To many people moving here, roads are packed accidents have increased. Please stop moving here.
Govt wants to track your every move. Insurance is mandated by Govt. Govt says they can raise your rates if you don’t put the tracker in your car. Nice windfall power for you Govt.
In this day and age it's super easy to shop around. I had one insurance company for 10 years. I got a new car and the increase was incredible. So I got an online quote from another company, and took that quote to my company and they gave me a much better rate for my new car.
Don’t live in Florida do ya? Limited options and they’re all high. My insurance just increased 1500.00. No claims ever. I’ve called 6 other companies and they’re all higher or pretty much the same.
keep trying. Work with a couple of agents because not all of them represent every company available. And use online tools. I know it's a pain, but sometimes - just sometimes, we come out ahead. But of course, Florida does their best to make sure we get screwed, don't they. So we have to try extra hard @@rachanddennis06 good luck!

Bogus injuries and doctors treating them. Racking up huge medical bills looking for a payday. Half the drivers have no insurance or DL.
So our rates went down during covid because we weren't driving? Of course not. Don't be a shill for the insurance companies saying that prices are increasing because we're driving more.
And all those changes to PIP that were supposed to lower our rates and that's exactly where I had my last two largest increases.
Not fair for my car ins to go up when I have no accidents
Progressive just jacked up my rate AGAIN, they are also doing massive stock buybacks and reporting all time high profits.
Change auto insurance. Progressive is very expensive, but so is State Farm. I use Auto-Owner's insurance and is the most reasonably priced.
Cost of cars going crazy.
INSURANCE is a scam
its a racket..
If the insurance company would investigate instead just paying claims some of this cost would go down it's some of the company's fault for not doing so.
If insurance would stop paying investigators to surveil and screw people, they could lower the rates. If insurance company executives didn't make massive wages, they could lower rates. What say instead of asking what does a burger flipper do to deserve $15 an hour, we asked the question that needs to be asked 'what could anyone do that warrants being paid $1000 an hour'
Overpopulation--Florida's highways are beyond a living nightmare. It often takes four hours to go from Lakeland to Orlando with traffic so congested it goes at a snail's pace. So there is more road rage, and more accidents. I quit seeing a medical specialist in Orlando because of the traffic. It's too much.
Yup overpopulation is right..I miss the days when it would take 45 minutes to go from Lakeland to Orlando back in the 70's 80's and 90's..
@@timboc105 I suffer a very rare cancer, and oncologist specialist is located in Orlando. I can't go there due to transportation issues. The traffic s very stressful for my husband to take me as he is in his 70's and with a previous heart attack. So I don't go. Overpopulation in Florida is more serious than mere inconvenience. It can kill.
@TomokoAbe_ Sorry to hear that I agree it's not worth the hassle and risk.. I've lived in Lakeland all of my 58 years and haven't been to Orlando in the last 8 years. Find ya good doctor around here!
@@timboc105 Sadly, there aren't any good doctors around here. However, what is meant to be -- will be so I put my trust in Providence regarding how long I'll live. I almost died a few times 2023 but still standing.
@@TomokoAbe_ Doctors get sued so quick why be a Doctor?
Whats the point paying for instance if they aint gonna cover your loss
Oh, what isn’t a “crisis” these days?
What a mess Florida is. Glad i got out years ago.
Blame the idiot governor for the ins dilemma… he’s the one they have in their pocket
Automakers making unrepairable cars doesn’t help. EV’s who have a replacement battery that cost more than a new EV are also doing damage to the insurance rates.
Does Florida buy that many more EV's than every other state?
If they stop over building then we will not have this problem.
It's too late now the damage is done!
Ohhh. Being on ur phone. Texting. Has absolutely nothing to do with it …? Ya 🖕.
Do Floridians really do that so much more than people in other states?
Desanti GTG
no no, there just driving like reckless idiots with no self control, maybe the app can do it. excuses excuses.

Crap Governor.
That’s exactly why! He is in the insurance industry’s pocket & allowed them to raise rates just like he did with Fl power
1:30 A Democrat with the most annoying voice, blaming the Governor. Too funny!
I pay $ 75 for full coverage. 0 points on my license and zero accidents. If you’re paying high insurance rates you aren’t negotiating correctly.
Inflation is down to 3.2% just in case you haven't heard😅😅😅
🤣🤣🤣
Not in fl-a-duh where the schmuck DeathSantis allowed the insurance to run wild and every other corporation too.
Climate change? Smh
OH GOD you just lost it when you said "Climate Change"
Stop blaming everything on the plandemic. JFC.
Thanks Brandon!
You can thank that idiot DeathSantis for allowing this to happen. He hasn't done anything FOR the people he is supposed to be representing.
Florida is a deep red state for the past 25 years.
Don't blame the governor because you can't stop speeding and driving at breakneck speeds.
The moronic governor and all his minions in his government allowed these companies to raise rates! DeathSantis let the insurance run wild because he wanted them to donate to his campaign! He needs to go!
You're just saying that because he's on your favorite political sports team.
