  • 2 years ago, I decided to refresh the awning after it broke when flipping over the car.
    At the time, I was working at Alspec Aluminium, so it was cheaper to upgrade the arms rather than throw it away, so here we are.

    Thanks for the video Troy. I have the same awning, and even though I had watched your first video about it before I first used mine, I still made the dumb mistake of setting it up and without putting guy lines down. In short, I had the same thing happen to mine with an unexpected gust of wind on an otherwise calm day. 🤦🏽‍♀️
    I want to modify mine the way you have but I wanted to know if you had any ideas about doing so while keeping the fold down legs somehow. I loved that feature over separate legs, which is what prompted me to get this particular awning in the first place.
    Can you think of a way to replace the broken poles but attach the legs in a different way so as to keep them fold down? Thanks again 😊

    i did this mod, ended up using the drop down pivot points, only issue i had was bag was tight after pack up
