What is Shaolin Damo Chan Gong?
    ***********************************
The word "Chan" is the abbreviation of and old term "Jhana,"think of cultivation", this line of thought has cultivation by practice and thinking as its meaning. The One who practices Chan has no characteristics (laksana), has stillness, maintained inside, belonging to yin (Chan is sometimes translated as dhyana, or prolonged and intense contemplation)
The word "Gong" as in"wugong", is a symbol which specifically means to move the body related to martial arts. The meaning is to cause the body to be tempered. The gong has form, movement, it is in the outer and belongs to the category of yang.
"Chan Gong" takes lacking characteristics alone as stillness, that stillness has form and stature with movement the appearance and characteristics melt away. In the center of the stillness of Chan there is exploration, it causes the body to enter , instantaneously and bursting, a powerful energy beating regularly at the boundary, in the middle of that beat of energy you enter stillness, causing the body’s stature to enter, the Chan fist returns, true wondrous emptiness has emptiness in between.
The Western Heavens Mahayana Chan Gong is divided into three phases: the first phase warms-up the body and are positioning movements, the middle phase is the formal exercise methods, and the last stage is adjust the breath and preparation for meditation after the exercises.
    Who is Jiang Yu Shan?

Amazing that for so many years I've been practicing Kriya and Hatha Yoga while learning from the Vedas but always had Taichi and Qigong in my heart due to my early childhood training. I feel honored to learn how it all comes together as Grandmaster Jian Yu Shan explains. It is an absolute honor to listen to this tea talk alongside you and learn. Thank you Master Shi Heng Yi for bringing this to us.

It was significant what master jiang yu shan said at the end about A.I technology making people dumber. What hes talking about is “entrainment”. Our devices entrain our brain , so within only 2-4 weeks our use of our smart phones and computers become a sort of muscle memory stored at the spinal cord level. We become reflexive and unconsciously react to our smart phones and devices . This is what makes us dumber, we forget the basics like sleep, healthy food and exercise and reflection is replaced by reflex as jaques ellul once quoted. Even elon musk has said people are already cyborgs and dont realise it, their smart phone is already an extension of them

Kung Fu came to be, thanks to Huang Di ("Yellow Emperor"), the semi-mythical, pre-Xia Dynasty emperor (Huangdi, as his name is more commonly written, ascended to the throne, according to the legend, in BCE 2698). Before becoming emperor, Gongsun Xuanyuan cum Huangdi was a renowned general and scholar who had written numerous tomes on themes as diverse as astrology, medicine and - of course! - martial arts.
      Bodhidharma arrived in China?
The accounts also differ on the date of his arrival, with one early account claiming that he arrived during the Liu Song dynasty (420-479) and later accounts dating his arrival to the Liang dynasty (502-557). Bodhidharma was primarily active in the territory of the Northern Wei (386-534). Modern scholarship dates him to about the early 5th century.
Bodhidharma's teachings and practice centered on meditation and the Laṅkāvatāra Sūtra.
Facts remain that Kung Fu/Martial Art was very much active in China well before the arrival of Bodhidharma, although he may very well have introduced the Martial Arts he learned in India, Shaolin was of the habit of seeking perfection in Martial Arts to the highest degree and developed its own unique contribution while learning other Martial Arts. @@johnbishop9000 Bodhidharma is traditionally credited as the transmitter of Chan Buddhism to China, and regarded as its first Chinese patriarch.[7] According to Chinese legend, he also began the physical training of the monks of Shaolin Monastery that led to the creation of Shaolin kung fu. In Japan, he is known as Daruma.
In 495 AD, Shaolin temple was built among the Song mountains in Henan province. The first monk who preached Buddhism there was the Indian monk named Buddhabhadra (佛陀跋陀罗; Fótuóbátuóluó), simply called Batuo (跋陀) by the Chinese. There are historical records that Batuo's first Chinese disciples, Huiguang (慧光) and Sengchou (僧稠), both had exceptional martial skills. For example, Sengchou's skill with the tin staff is even documented in the Chinese Buddhist canon. After Buddhabadra, the monk Bodhidharma (菩提达摩; Pútídámó), described as either Central Asian or South Asian (Indian)[8] and simply called Damo (达摩) by the Chinese, came to Shaolin in 527 AD. His Chinese disciple, Huike (慧可), was also a highly trained martial arts expert. There are hints that these first three Chinese Shaolin monks, Huiguang, Sengchou, and Huike, may have been military men before entering the monastic life.[9

@@DBFLAMES ji, the first and foremost fundamental principle of Sanatana Dharma is Satya, for without it nothing stands, don't wish to be in any argument, I do not deny the martial arts of Bodhidharma and Shaolin monks, I affirm, also it would be hard to conceive Bodhidharma not sharing his Martial Arts he learned in Bharat, yet there are records to show of the existence of martial arts in China before the arrival of Bodhidharma, so how does one account for that?
Kung Fu is purported to have originated during the Xia (BCE 2000-1500) Dynasty. It is said that the wrestling form, jiao di, that would become an official state sport during the Qin (BCE 221-207) Dynasty,, was developed during the Xia Dynasty by one of the Yellow Emperor's wrestling rivals, Chi You.
The earliest reference to martial arts in the Chinese historical record stems from the Spring and Autumn (BCE 770-476) Period of the Eastern Zhou (BCE 770-221) Dynasty, namely, a reference to a Kung Fu like discipline in the Spring and Autumn Annals. There, han-to-hand combat is mentioned, based on the integration of "hard" and "soft" techniques, which integration one can surely perceive as a reference to the fusion of purely physical techniques (later referred to as "external", or shaolin techniques) with purely mental techniques (later referred to as "internal", or wudang techniques) - the latter "techniques" sometimes known as meditation - which is not surprising, if true, given that the concept of the yin and the yang - or two interdependent sides of one and the same concept - Taoism.
In the 1st century BCE, i.e., during the Han (BCE 206 - CE 220) Dynasty, mention of a combat wrestling discipline, jueli (alternatively, jiaoli) [角力], can be found in the work, Classic of Rites. This is the first historical mention of a form of hand-to-hand combat specifically involving strikes, throws and grappling techniques such as applying pressure to key points of the body or of the locking of joints that could temporarily incapacitate one's opponent. It was also during the Han Dynasty that an "anything goes" form of the wrestling discipline, jueli, known as shoubo [手搏], was introduced, according to the History of the Former Han Dynasty, aka Hanshu, completed in CE 111 and which covered the period, roughly, of the Western Han (BCE 206 - CE 009) Dynasty through the Wang Mang Interregnum, or the Xin (CE 009-024) Dynasty.
During the Song (CE 960-1279) Dynasty, which was a period of stability and unity in China, Kung Fu Wushu was known as wuyi [武艺].
it was first from the Ming (CE 1368-1644) Dynasty and onward that Kung Fu became codified and quantified, as it were. In fact, most of what we know of the structure of Kung Fu stems from the Qing (CE 1644-1911) Dynasty era.

With DARPA, unless a program is top secret, the agency will share in-depth info about any of its programs, including the names of institutions, corporations or startups, working along side DARPA, to develop them. Past programs such as: DARPA Projects 2021; Brain Control Weapon; DARPA NESD; DARPA COVID; ect. DARPA also facilitated the Internet's origin!

The info I will be sharing with you about DARPA is common knowledge found on RUclips by anyone interested in this USA agency. Due to curiosity, I have known about DARPA (never a dull moment) for most of my life (am not affiliated with them). The most comprehensive summareality of its function is best described by Jared Adams in his RUclips, Feb. 19, 2019, video presentation, "Mind Control & Other Things . . . ." Although the video is 3 years old, one learns of DARPAS' origin, inerworkings,, how proposals are chosen, & at the very end, who owns the intellectual property rights of any completed program. Although the venue lack luster & the format is one of questions & answers, the presentation is well summarized. Knowing how something works leads one closer to realety.
