    I don't own or marketing on the Roadmap Course. However, it is misleading to call it a pyramid scam. In pyramid schemes, people higher in the pyramid make money from what people lower in the pyramid sell and it is dependent on continuing to draft people below you. In Master Resell Rights, the seller keeps 100% of the profit. Sell for $500 and keep $500. Spreading incorrect information while touting your own products is cringey.

      *Well with MRR products you can't resell it as your own product, it has to be sold as it is in it's original, unmodified form. PLR products are different though, you CAN relabel it as your own, make some tweaks and adjustments to the contents and bingo-bango, its now all yours! It happens all the time with physical products - especially from China etc (Ali Baba and Aliexpress) where you have the manufacture label their products with your branding and you resell it as your product. It's all in the marketing...........*

    • @noyarttt
      @noyarttt 3 месяца назад +1

      Its not a pyramid scheme per say, but it has the same personality, the early adopters and the "creator" of the product will earn the most, and as more and more people buy into it the market will be saturated and harder to sell. So if you write that on a board and draw a triangle, it looks like a pyramid.

    • @highclassify
      @highclassify Месяц назад +1

      it is exactly that. the owners take a $29 fee from every sale as a 'website fee'. in fact it costs them nothing to give you a copy paste website just like the ones that tens of thousands of people already have, so on your $900 sale, the top of the pyramid makes their percentage. Didn't you realize this?

  • @shonaejones3553
    @shonaejones3553 7 месяцев назад +12

    Very much NOT a pyramid scheme. The creator of the digital product isn't making money off of those who choose to resell it to a particular audience. You have a very one sided opinion on this topic which is misleading. As far as "saturation" and not being able to stand out - all it takes is some creativity and strategy. If nothing else you can consult with a marketing strategist and figure that out. Furthermore, anyone with a high school education can learn about digital marketing and use that knowledge to sell a digital product.

      The "top" is the creator of the original product and is the first person to resell the rights. They have the audience and they will make the sales. Buying the resell rights for a course you plan on learning from is just a way for them to take more of your money because what purpose do you need the resell rights for? You can create your own product or learn from the course how to create your own product, but what will you do with the resell rights of the course you learned from?

      @@GinthianShield but that´s the point, it solves a problem, the problem to go through the ¨thinking and researching what digital product to create¨ which can take a LOT OF time and effort, and it is a lie that you have to be an expert on something to resell something, you just have to know how to sale, same as if you are selling physical products for profit that are a no brainer like clothing or shoes for example. This is looks like a great solution for those who find themselves with very little time in their hands and want to ¨resell¨something that has already been made, which is essentially what most businesses that sell physical products do, an online store that sells clothing, basically purchases the clothing (that they not create from scratch, maybe the designs but you can also buy shirts with cool designs on them and sell them for profit), this is almost the same thing, and it is great because you can *start* with this, build an audience (which I think would be the hard part), and then move on to something else, and you are not doing anything wrong here because those courses seem like they provide a lot of value, more so if you are a newbie, this doesn´t have to be your business for the rest of your life, but it can be an open door that may help you get started, at least from watching al LOT of videos from this topic in youtube, (both good and bad reviews and those that stand in the middle) that is the conclusion that I am currently at, but I HAVE NO IDEA HAH because I have not purchased any of these, I can only talk from what I´ve seen on lots of videos and reviews

That's not an MLM. I also don't understand how it's a scam to teach a program on how to do digital marketing, then teach you how to sell a program that teaches you how to do digital marketing. Since there's no ongoing commission, I don't see how this is any more of a pyramid scheme than most of how the online business thought leaders behaves. Seems like the main problem is gross marketing and obsession with fast/easy money, which is again, an industry wide problem. People create a course, who then convince other people to create a course by buying THEIR course, and so on. It's also true that in the online courses space the people at the top are making the real money while telling people with small audiences and less expertise that they can quit their day job and get rich as a course creator/digital product seller/coach/etc. But unless there's an upline commission structure, it still has more in common with, say, you and your business model, than an MLM or direct sales or anything that could be called a pyramid scheme.

The courses within this niche have been given a spammy reputation by those who clearly have no marketing experience. More so called 'influencers' jumping on the bandwagon of hate toward the niche because they don't like how people are marketing a single course. With all of your experience, wouldn't you agree that you're just looking at people with no marketing experience and not representing the product for what it truly is, an educational course for those who want to start an online business but have no idea how to get started, it is well organised and industry relevant. So, who do they go to? The person who sold them the MRR for a pricey fee. So then, the original vendor of "Roadmap to Riches", etc. can "coach" people on how to sell this unoriginal, stale content for "coaching fees". That's why these MLM and MRR schemes get so dangerous. I know some of these products constantly update it so its not stale so not sure what you mean by stale - hope u can elaborate. Also if support needed rises above what is reasonable for each reseller - why should they not charge for their time above and beyond what is reasonable? It’s not just like a piramid scheme because the people on top do not make money from each sale thereafter. But yes not everyone will make money because you do need to know how to sell it.

    Thanks for bringing this up. Seeing those come up (and getting hit up in really sketch ways to buy in) felt icky and as others have said, made me question the person's integrity who was pushing them. 🥴

    • @MelissaLandry-y5z
      @MelissaLandry-y5z Год назад +2

      Nobody is pushing them. The Roadmap course teaches valuable information about business skills and social media marketing. Unfortunately some people do buy the course just to resell it and do make false income claims and those people you should not do business with. But they shouldn't be any representation of the course itself.

      There will always be people with poor intentions. And I'm sorry you had a bad experience.
      But as someone who did take the course and is actually applying the skills that I learned (I now coach others in creating their own successful digital product business), the course really teaches valuable information. The creators of the course get zero monetary gain from it but instead are building a business brand based off of VALUES and are not here to just make a quick buck.
      It's so sad to see people bashing each other's businesses. We are not each others competition. There is enough space in this world for everyone to be successful.

  • @MelissaLandry-y5z

    I usually enjoy your videos but this one is wrong on so many levels.
    Master Resell Rights means the original creators don't get any portion of the sales. Nor is anyone recruiting anyone else.
    It's a digital marketing course that teaches people extremely useful marketing and business skills while being able to make money from digital products as they learn.
    It's a very effective and brilliant business model.
    Please take this down before it's reported. You're spreading false information and calling someone else's business a scam when it isn't.

    Thank you for being honest! I already saw someone I follow post this and I instantly thought pyramid scheme!!

    • @OneFaithFilledLady
      @OneFaithFilledLady 7 месяцев назад +2

      Its not a pyramid for one bc no one above you is making money. You keep 100% profit. There is no uplines, downlines, nothing. You simply buy the course with the option to sell if you choose. Its like buying a course at work or school but the money goes only to them and ghey dont give you rights to resell what you brought.
      Also, i know the course i bought is a legitimate course that actually teaches me a ton of info.

    It's been around for years, it's just gained traction now. I started there where I would create whitelabel courses and would sell the Masters to a limited no in the online space but it's exploitative as people make money off of your expertise. I wouldn't call it scammy, it's even exist in all industries. But yeah, right now, feels mlmish because of the hype 😢

      @@MelissaLandry-y5zhow does the main MRR company not make money? If I buy the course to start, from the companies website they make $$ from me. Then I promote it and someone sees my link and buys the course from me. So yes I make the money from the sale but aren’t they also buying from the main MRR company? Why would they start this company if they aren’t going to see some kind of sale from any purchase? Thanks

    I’ve noticed that all the people I see selling this “ course” talk about how much they have made SELLING the course, but I never hear anything of VALUE that is in the course other than it teaches you “ digital marketing” or how to market “ digital products”.

      Great point. That was my concern at first. I bought it & haven’t resold it yet. I already have a business & don’t want to risk what I’ve built so I decided to first go through it. It’s AMAZING. I paid for very reputable courses l5 times the price. This delivers A LOT more PRACTICAL and updated applicable content. I didn’t like the niche section much. Other than that, it’s great for beginners & intermediate level people. I’m def going to offer it to my existing clients who will need it. I wasn’t expecting to learn much but I did & the price is a no brained if you value your time.
