Great question!
It was easily the trickiest part of this entire process.
Here’s what I did -
1: Layered the Arctic Monkey music video for the song over the top of my cover.
2: Lined up the audio and then deleted the AM audio so only mine remained.
3: Then I changed the color mode for the AM video to ‘Screen’ (I recommend reading on color blending modes, it’s kinda confusing and Google will explain better than I will) this filtered anything black out of the AM video (everything is black but the wiggly line)
4: used chromatic aberration to make the white line occasionally jump into other colors to add some interesting flavor to the line.
