    Dr. Ellie is the best. Ive tried her mouth care the last 4 months with amazing results. My bleeding gums have gone away, my breath and overall mouth taste feels fresh, my teeth are getting whiter and they are very smooth, no flossing necessary. Exactly as she described. Almost seems too good to be true, but it really works.
    My little one loves Dr. Ellie’s xylitol mints which i get on Amazon as well, and given the positive results this will likely become a lifelong ritual. Can’t thank Dr. Ellie enough.
    I purchase Dr. Ellie’s products only, to support her and as a token of appreciation for the impact she has had on my oral health.

    I’ve been experimenting a little with pH strips, xylitol and cheese.
    I eat something then test my saliva. Then use xylitol mints and test with pH strips and see the pH heading to balanced. Then eat a piece of cheese and…wow…the strips read right into the 7.0+ balanced range!!
    I don’t play doctor every day, but it’s great to see the confirmation with the strips and know the system is working!!!

    • @SunrayStar
      @SunrayStar 6 дней назад +3

      There are many good granular xylitol brands; the most important thing to look for is that they are 100% xylitol crystals/granules with no other ingredients, and that they are non-GMO. Two good ones are Now Foods Xylitol and Xlear XyloSweet. It is normal for xylitol to taste extremely sweet because it tastes the same as regular sugar. It should never irritate the mouth, so you may be using too much at one time or leaving it in the mouth too long. One dose is 1 gram (1/5 to 1/4 teaspoon), and you don't need to leave it in any longer than just a minute or two - just until you notice that fresh rush of saliva. Dr. Ellie says you don't even need to hold it in the mouth for a while or swish it around or anything, but rather just chew it and swallow or whatever you want to do.
      Another possibly of sweetness irritating would also happen to you with other sweet foods; if that is the case, you may not be brushing your gums enough. Gum brushing should cover all of the gum areas back behind the teeth, on the front sides, above and below the teeth, and should be done vigorously. If your tooth sensitivity is more around certain teeth or certain areas, then brush the gums in those sensitive tooth areas more vigorously - for a little longer time and with a little more pressure. This will often stop tooth sensitivity within one day.

    • @dr.elliephillips
      @dr.elliephillips  3 дня назад +1

      Our body MAKES 15 grams of xylitol every day. Even the tiniest amount used during childhood has been shown to prevent dental disease by FEEDING the mouths population of protective and good mouth bacteria. It’s a prebiotic in other words.
      In the gut xylitol is used by the gut bacteria that form butyrate - foundational for gut health.
      Xylitol is a pentose sugar - often included by those who believe in the power of glyconutrients for health and healing.

      The bad bacteria try to feed on it and they can’t so they die off which is good for your mouth.
      And the story is the good bacteria CAN feed on it- which is also good for your mouth.
      Calling it a “sugar substitute” is just all part of the opposing script.

      @@aymi6393 If you can't use these products, then you won't be doing the system at all; you would just be putting together your own mishmash of products to experiment with and see what happens. Dr. Ellie has said that she doesn't know what specifically makes these products work so well as a system; it could even be something in their inactive ingredients that makes the "magic" work, which is not what you would expect. So it isn't necessarily just about a main active ingredient to look for. That's why you cannot substitute or omit any of the products, or the system may not give the pretty much guaranteed results.

The microbes and bacteria are just parts of our body but not the actual cause that triggers any decline of the soft flesh or hard tooth. The food we eat and sunshine matters and not eating all the time which creates continuous acid saliva . Can you do videos for people who are suffering with stressful situations like war and abuse and depression or danger and their teeth are just failing and what are some hacks as they teeth continue to fail? What do you think about Erythritol instead of or in tandem with xylitol? I’ve just started doing mouth rinses with a combo of half and half xylitol and erythritol because I read studies showing erythritol might be even better than xylitol in some ways. And it also has lower glycemic index.
    Is it okay to just take xylitol in a mouth rinse and not actually eat it? I’m a bit sensitive to it and would prefer not to actually ingest it all day.
    Also: why did you say that children who get fillings in childhood could have digestive issues later on - what’s the correlation there or how would fillings contribute to this? Would it be because they might trap bacteria inside? But if someone healed/ remineralized their tooth wouldn’t it do the same thing - trap bacteria inside?

    Hi Dr. Ellie! Looking for substitute products here in India. For the ACT rinse, I found 2 alternatives:
    1. Colgate Phos-flur with 0.044% sodium flouride
    2. Chlorexidine mouthwash with 0.05% sodium flouride (but the chlorexidine is 0.2%).
    3. A mouthwash with 0.2% sodium flouride.
    Which one do you recommend? Is 0.044% sufficient?? Is 0.2% too much?

    Dr Ellie, I have been using your complete mouth for about 2months now and I love how it makes my teeth feel …..BUT, Dr Ellie
    I have been hearing ALOT
    about how MOUTHWASH DESTROYS the Nitric Oxide and the microbiom
    in my mouth. I have some high blood pressure and
    Dr Nathan Bryan says fluoride and popular mouthwashes is very detrimental for all organs of our bodies BECAUSE
    the nitric oxide production
    is harmed. PLEASE RESPOND because I have many family and friends who have started on your protocol because of my recommendation. Now I feel like I should call and warn them. I am almost 80 years old. HELP!!!!

    • @dr.elliephillips
      @dr.elliephillips  2 дня назад +2

      @@karendavidson1182 I know Nathan Bryant and he - for his own agenda reasons- refuses to talk to me. I sell NO testing strips on my website SPECIFICALLY so YOU can see that all this is nonsense. The only mouth rinse that causes a NO problem is Chlorhexidine - a hospital grade antiseptic. The interpretation that ALL mouth rinse causes these problems began with a flawed study in obese individuals with gum disease - nuances the study people forgot to mention.
      Believe me this silly idea has taken the internet by storm - but it is incorrect and is based on a faulty understanding of the mouth ecosystem - which has two populations. One population is easily washed away but regenerated by the stable biofilm population.
      My advice is to read the second edition of my book KISS Your Dentist goodbye ( Amazon) and it will show you how what they are saying is inaccurate and wrong. There are YT videos out there where I do a NO test to show my almost perfect nitric oxide levels at 75 years old…….
