Hey i just see ur vray exterior lighting render tutorial it just very very helpful and so amazing. Thank u very much for this u r sharing on you tube for us.
There are ways to rotate and place the HDRI that are much, much, MUCH faster than here 1: instance your HDRI map into your environment, enable environment preview in viewport, rotate the map as you need, disable environment map. If environment preview is all white, adjust overall multiplier of the HDRI in material editor until you can see it. 2: turn on "lock to light orientation" in the vray dome light and then the line in your dome light gizmo is showing the way you're looking at the HDRI - material editor preview is the view from the dome light along that line. Then just turn the dome light to the approximate direction you need. With a bit of practice, you can orient HDRIs in minutes or even seconds.
you probably need to do a video about it...in my method you don't match, you actually move it where you want to get the VOLUME LIGHT - I'm thinking here one step further...since I'm using HDRI Just for ambiance / not sun light
Very good video! I also have that horizontal black line and after creating a vray plane it only becomes green or violet... what material should I attach to this vray plane?
FYI since v-ray 3.0 and up the vray physical cam is now gone. you can just use the physical cam included with max 2016, it was done by chaosgroup and is now the right cam to use.
Thansk Alex, Great tutorial again! Do you have any suggestions on how to reduce the amount of blue light from the HDRI that are affecting the materials in the scene? Thanks!
Excuse me, can you tell me what type of the recessed lights used on the 2nd floor's ceiling? Is it vraylight or vraylightmtl? Thank you so much for such a helpful video :)
