Finally a video showing WHY some weapons are better fit for certain content. As a new player, I much appreciate the time you took to put this together.
@@aminthegreat1646if you want to have all updates described and introduce I would recommend to watch Mogdone. He got YT channel and streams almost every day. He's always up to date with all changes
As an experienced player, can't ignore the fact, that you have not mentioned many contents where some weapons are good (ratting not mentioned, ganking not mentioned in many cases, group PvE not mentioned in many cases), but those that are mentioned in the video are precise.
To save some people some time, right now the best solo PvP weapons are: deathgivers, carving sword, 1h dagger, dual swords, battleaxe, 1h spear, arcane staff more or less in that order. These weapons have both damage and some mobility but all have a different playstyle
@victorxu2478 I knew I was forgetting something, spear is a very high skill ceiling weapon tho for its versatility on W, very many options depending on who you're expecting to fight
@Vollin because big mobility that also does big burst damage, most people solo run either infernal shield bc you can stick to people really well and it makes it hard for them to fight back or hellion jacket. Bloodlust is kind of a crutch for most people who don't know when to dash through and make distance and manage cooldowns, bloodlust also usually just gets purged in most solo content. A well timed infernal shield can turn any fight just like hunter hood, but it's an even longer lasting threat
Thank you so much, now I know what weapons I can use. I'm getting tired of being a healer (Blight Staff). I loved Boltcasters, till they buffed it :( In Fact it's my second maxed out weapon. I am also very good with Greataxe and Infernal Staff.
3:24 in 2024, we have the astral staff, It releases a rain of stars that does nasty damage, and used in mostly ZvZ but can be used in other content if you know what yer doin
Good video. Thanks. The only thing I would have liked is some kind of simple ranking of the weapons, such as Great, Decent, Bad. Without this info, a newbie will be hard pushed to find a strong weapon since many of the weapons in the game are rarely used (and usually for good reason).
I don't think there really ought to be a ranking system, they're based on niches. It's better to know what kind of content you wanna do, then pick your choice weapon for that content. That being said, even weapons meant for solo can still be useful in zvz, and vice versa, with the right tactics and rules of engagement. Just pick the weapon that calls to you, know its limitations, then carve out your niche that way.
That also being said, it's not like you're locked into a weapon once you main it a few times. You can always switch it up if you don't feel it, if you're bored, if you wanna do other content, etc. Albion isn't class-restricted, you can technically max ALL the weapons if you've got the moxy for it.
Hello. I wanted to ask, what do you mean or what do you consider as "small/mid/large scale PvP"? I guess ZvZ is large, but where should I put Faction Warfare for example?
So I’m a new player and I’ve been using the whispering bow for pve soo time to swap to normal bow thank you for this video!! Also would you use longbow or normal bow for solo static dungeons??
Your question is a little odd to most people, so I'll break down both JIC: You mean the green statics in blue zones meant for 1-2 people: Longbow probably better since you can grab a bunch of mobs and one-shot them (the TRUE one shot doesnt come till the last W though since they moved explosive arrows down there) You mean the blue statics meant for groups of 4+: Neither. Bows are not viable as a solo static. The only weapons you could conceivably do that with are great nature, druidic, battle axe, and shadowcaller, but the last 3 have had nerfs so its REALLY hard now. If youre a new player, I would honestly find a t5 zone with some open world mobs and kill those, or do some solo dungeons
I've been playing albion for 3 days and now I have a cursed staff T5.1 build set, but is cursed staff still good for now? Or are there other good weapon recommendations for PvP and PVE
ngl, been getting pestered to play albion online for a while now by ads, only problem being is that from what it looks like mine might not be able to take it. or at the very least just barely able to.
Great video. Is there any ranged weapon that is good for cursed dungeons that is around t4? I have been playing around with a couple but I haven't found one that I really like.
I learned quite a bit but I saw something about a necro stuff or something like that in another video I was hoping to see more about that since I can't find that video now it was by chance and I had to run before I can watch it
And the vast majority of them suck for PVP as well. Only a handful of weapons are viable in PVP. It's the big problem with Albion and it's "you are what you wear" system. There's a ton of cool and different armors and weapons out there, but only a select few are viable at any given time. Balancing is terrible. I used a claymore for months, got it to tier 8, level 120, had tons of fun and loved my character. Then they completely nerfed it out of existence and it has a 5% winrate in Corrupted Dungeons now, it's useless for pretty much everything. Crap like that is why I just stick to gathering these days.

Great video! Especially for beginners. This is slightly out of date though, The great arcane got nerfed. It doesn’t protect teammates anymore.
Normal bow is a lot more mediocre as a pve weapon as well

Excuse me, sorry for asking. I'm just another newbie. Btw, where did you watch this update about items though?. I can't find it.

With the new buff and changes, the quarterstaff is now pretty good for smallscale especially with the knockups
Which armour types goes best with quarterstaff solo and small scale PVP?
Recent videos have been so helpful to the new recruits to the game. Thank you so much.

Pretty accurate, altough I don't see as much use with 1h spear. 1h dagger is strong though! Myself, I use battleaxe, which I feel is pretty strong :)

you should actually do a video about what each weapon says about the player using it
thank you for servicing my laziness. Now i can just test the ones i find cool looking.
So, how can I tell which weapon types are meta and which are niche picks?

are the bearpaws and 1H curse still meta, thinking about specing into those 2

I really needed this video, thank you
Can u please do a match up video i would like to know which match ups are bad or very hard to beat at the same ilevel for spears
I’d agree that the Whispering Bow is useful at harassing those mounted guys waiting for a chance to get stray healers in large scale PvP.
Omg! Super video! Where have you been all my life?!!! :-D
I'm a new player and i dont know which weapon should i spec up first
What do you suggest for a new player? I played quarterstaff in beta
Im new to albion and would just like to ask, do you need to use a tier 5 weapon to get it to 6 or can you use tier 4
You don't need to use t5. Any of that item even t4 will work
Hello. I wanted to ask, what do you mean or what do you consider as "small/mid/large scale PvP"? I guess ZvZ is large, but where should I put Faction Warfare for example?
small scale about 5 players, mid 7-20, large 20+

killing mobs for combat fame to level up your weapons/armors
For me One of the best dagger for group pve and group pvp is demonfang❤
Greater Arcane does not work anymore at allies
life curse is also used in solo ganking!

cursed staffs like cursed skull are very good for corrupted dungeons
