I just bought the Inspiroy Dial Q620M tablet and I can say that this is the best review I see. The "detail" about the pen is absolutely crucial. The problem with this tablet (pen actually, the tablet is very good) is that the pressure of the stylus depends on the depth of the nib into the pen and not solely on the force of your own hand/arm. This makes the lines very difficult to control and dominate (especially if your work involves precision and detail).
Exactly!! The fact that the lines are inconsistent makes it hard to predict what the outcome of your stroke is going to be like. It definitely detracts from the overall drawing experience and makes it completely different compared to drawing on paper using traditional tools... =/
@@limochannel3871 Note aside: I also have the Huion Inspiroy H1060P and you can use its pen (PW100) in the Dial Q620M. The combination of both is actually interesting, you can make different things exchanging from one to another. Anyway, I will try to buy and use other tablets soon (my eyes are in the XP-Pen Deco Pro, or an used Intuos Pro). Greetings from Chile.
@@andresferrada4839 I have the same problem with my old Wacom Intuis Pro pen. The nib also started to fall through in the stylus when pressed it, which annoyed me and made it difficult to draw small details. So I decided to buy a new tablet. I choose between the Huion Inspiroy Q620 and the Xp-pen Deco Pro. You've said that you use the combination of PW100 and Dial Q620. Do PW100 have such problem as PW500 or not?
Oof nice review, after watching this you realize that people actually miss a lot of stuff in other reviews, the "softness" issue is pretty big cause when drawing even a change in 1 millimeter influences the feel you have for it. It's hard to explain XD ugh I bought one cause I got an amazon voucher and I hope I won't regret taking this chance :/
Thanks! Yea, I tried to cover things that I wished I had known before I purchased the tablet, but which nobody seems to care about or cover in their reviews... but as you said, it's really hard to explain because it all comes down to how the tablet & pen actually feel in your hands when you're using them... anyway, hopefully you'll still love your tablet once you get it! The dial is great, so that's one major plus for the Q620M, in my opinion :D
Ok for those who may read this in the future. Got the tablet and I have to confirm that is not perfectly responsive like a real pen but you can easily get used to this if you didn't try other device and haven't spent tens or hundreds of hours like that. Texture is smooth but has a certain something that can be felt when you draw, something between paper on hard surface and the screen of a tablet/phone . If you want to start digital art this is definitely a good option.
Hello, I was thinking of buying this model for 3d modeling and digital sculpting, specifically Zbrush. Does anyone have experience with this? Any kind of feedback will be usefull. Thank you!
are these issues still a thing in huion hs611? coming from a Wacom Intuos Small, sometimes i draw with very light strokes (so the "neutral mode" you mentioned for these Huion tablets i guess) and having the possibility to do that whenever i feel to, even if is not a thing i need that often in my case, is obviously a good thing. so i'm wondering if those are some issues just for this particular model (which i was taking in consideration) or for others Huion tablets too (hs611 in particular, the other one i'm taking in consideration)
Thank you for addressing this issues, mainly the initial activation force... It's soooo annoying and all my work relies on subtle changes in pressure, that's wny I love iPad. Do you have tested the new huion pen PW517 that comes with Kamvas 16 2020 and oder models?
Yea I totally get what you mean about the subtle changes in pressure. That's also what annoys me with most tablets. You can’t get the same amount of brush control that you can with a physical paint brush, for example. I haven't tried any of the Kamvas tablets (nor have I tried the new pen). I forewent screen tablets because sitting hunched over hurts my neck... To be honest I prefer the ipad for drawing, but it gives me neck/back pain, which is why I decided to try out some of the screenless tablets from huion and wacom~
I bought a kamvas 16 pro, and regarding initial force activation is much, much way better then other tablets, it's not apple pencil level of accuracy and sensibility but, considering my self very rigorous with this issue, I do like the tablet.
@@PedroRodrigues-fh1ku Im happy with mine. Only thing weird with pw507 is that its not that accurate regarding tracking the cursor on the screen, as you move the pen, the cursor tends to get a little bit off track, but as you take off the pencil from the surface it returns to track it properly. Its an annoyance I can live with, Better than poor initial force activation.
To be honest it depends on the individual. If you like to draw very small, I recommend the Huion HS64. I'm using that tablet atm and it's my current favorite (despite it being super cheap and small... it's definitely not marketed as a pro device, yet it works the best for me). If you like to draw larger, with very light pen pressure then the Huion Inspiroy 1060 is good. If you draw larger with heavy pen pressure, then I would probably recommend the Q620 to be honest. In that instance (larger + heavy pressure), the 1060 would be a solid choice too, HOWEVER the Q620 is newer and much nicer aesthetically (plus it has wireless and a dial)... Those are the three Huion tablets that I own and the instances in which I would recommend them lol... I ought to make a comparison video about this, as it might help out more people... I'll add it to my list haha! Anyway, hope it helped at least a little. Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions! :D
@@limochannel3871 personally I need the wireless aspect because my desk is incredibly small and so I can't fit more than the computer, monitor, mouse and keyboard on it, so I'll probably just deal with the pen issue I guess.
Hello Limo , thanks a lot for the review , It cleared a lot of thing for me . I am going to buy a tab tomorrow , but as a beginner I had less knowledge about these . Basically I'm an architecture student so I'm going to use the tab for photoshop and Illustrator, So line sensitivity is an Important thing for me . I was thinking about buying XP-Pen Deco 01 V2 but it doesn't have any wheel or dial but 8 customizable buttons , so I need to know ,are buttons smooth enough for zooming purpose and resizing brush ?????? as it will be a major purpose for me . And what are you're thoughts on XP Pen Deco 01 V2 ? Will it be worth it ????
omg, I also have this tablet and the one thing that bothers me is that sometimes when I lift the pen from the tablet the nib sometimes gets stuck in the pen and it registers as me pressing down on the pen, so I end up drawing a big line across the screen and ugh it's so annoying. I definitely do not recommend this talet.
I was actually interested in trying it out, but for some reason they don't sell it in China, despite Huion being a Chinese brand. I even contacted the Huion customer service directly in order to enquire about it, but alas it's not available here =/
OMG - I wish I had seen this review before buying this. I can't stand the springiness of the nib! Is the Huion HS64 also featuring a stylus with this? I hate it. Do you if I can swap out the stylus?
I do not have any tablet, but according to the tables on Amazon pages, there seems to be only two pens: the old one that requires charging and does not support tilt (model name is PW150 or something), and the new one that is battery-free and supports tilt (PW500 or something). This tablet is using the later. So, if one does not like this, he would not like any other Huion tablet model.
I think Huion Dial is better then XP-pen Deco Pro because of the wireless connection provided by Q620 and the fact that Deco Pro dial wheel easier to accidentally touch when drawing.

Aww sorry to hear that you ended up giving up on the tablet... I know the feeling though. Despite trying to accommodate and whatnot, it’s still a tool meant for creating art, and as a paying customer I disagree with the notion that you, the artist, has to force yourself to get used to something that you paid for. I get that certain things have a learning curve, but a learning curve does not equate having to change your entire workflow in order to be able to use the tablet/other device. I’m kinda rigid when it comes to these things. If it doesn’t work for me after a day or two, it’s out. Lol
