Hi, thank you for the video, it is very helpful. I do have one question though. For form IMM5562 Section C, the opening statement says, "You (the principal applicant) must fill out this form for yourself and on behalf of any of your family members 18 years of age or older who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents. Enter all names in English and in your native language... ". However, under the Section C heading it says, "List all trips your dependent children 18 years or older have taken outside of their country of origin or of residence in the last 10 years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than 10 years ago). Include all trips..." In my case, I am sponsoring both my parents (mom and dad) and all my siblings (including me) are married or older than 22 and supporting ourselves. So I am assuming that we are not dependents of my Dad (the principal applicant). My confusion here is - In the first section they tell us to fill this out for all family members but under the section heading it says to fill it out only for the dependents. So, in this form, do I still put in my siblings' travel information or should I just write 'Not Applicable'? Your answer will be much appreciated.

Thank you for your videos..can you pls advise rgding letter of explanation for providing alternate documents like birth certificate and marriage certificates..does this letter need to be written by sponsor or applicant?
You no need to write any explanation letter for alternate documents. On the top of the page write “ proof of marriage for so and so” and then scan and upload it.

For IMM 5406, Section B Child, do we need to provide our own information as a child (I'm the sponsor and ofcourse I'm a Canadian citizen) for the parent (principal applicant). Top most para says "add ONLY folks who are NOT already Canadian citizens or Permanent residents". I believe this implies that the "sponsorer" (ie., me) cannot be included in the above list, as he/she is at least a Canadian PR to sponsor the parent
Great video thanks. Regarding IMM 5406 Section B: Children (3:33) In the instructions it says "You (the principal applicant) must fill out this form for yourself and on behalf of any of your family members 18 years of age or older who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents" So, if a child of the Principal Applicant is a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada, do they need to be added as children? (or "not applicable")?
The form needs to fill out only for Principal applicants and dependents (means spouse and/or children under the age of 22 and not married. e.g. if you are sponsoring only a single parent, you will fill this form one time, both parents: two times (separate for both), if they have any dependent children, separate for them. But, In each form section B: all the children’s info needs to fill, no matter what age or where they live.
Follow up question. Child who is sponsor should be listed under the section children,ok. What about sponsor's spouse should they also be listed here? Especially if they are cosigners. There is no grandchildren section, should the children of the Pr/can citizens also be listed in this form?
Thanks for the video. Should the applicant give information about step children too. The applicant is my mother, my father's first wife died 40+ years ago and has two children from her. And similarly my father as dependent give the information about her deceased wife.
Yes, she needs to add your father as a dependent. IMM 0008 in dependent: Q.17 “yes” and provide info of your father’s previous spouse. If those children are dependent, then she needs to add them as well in IMM 0008. If those children are not dependent then she needs to add them in IMM 5406 Section B

Hi, Thank you so much for the video, I am sponsoring my father and mother. I have a brother who is over 30 yrs old living in India. I have couple of doubts that sounds silly, please help. 1. While filling up 5669 form, I understand I need to fill the background declaration for both my parents. But do i need to fill the form for my brother as well? 2. While filling IMM5406, there are places where my father need to enter his siblings and parent's date of birth. He dont know their date of birth instead he knows his sister's age, can he write" 65 years" in the date of birth column and also he knows his brother 's year of birth , can he write just year instead of whole stuff. Also he is not sure about his mother's date of birth, in that case can he write "0" in the date of birth column.. Appreciate your kind help. Thank you once again.
1. no, only for parents but need to give his info in IMM 5406 section B. 2. you should just make the dates nearby their birth and keep in record for future. ( spouse he knows born in 1950 in summer, just make any date with summer months, sister is 3 years younger or older...
Could you let me know that, do we need to fill the details of the principal applicants' all children in this form or just the 2 parents we are applying for PR? Generic application form for Canada (IMM 0008) Dependants You must provide details about each of your family members, whether they will come with you to Canada or not. You must list all your children even if they are already permanent residents or citizens of Canada).
In IMM 0008: You need to add the principal applicant’s spouse and only the dependent children if they have any (under 22 years of age and not married) In IMM 5406: section B: need to provide info of all the children, no matter what age and where they live.
Quick question - for IMM 5406, the principal applicant (father) needs to fill this entire family form for himself and the dependant (mother) - that part is understandable. But does he (principal applicant) also need to fill this for each of his children (not dependant, both over 22 years including myself, the sponsor Canadian citizen) as well? There's a line in the web form under "Before you get started" section - "You (the principal applicant) must fill out this form for yourself and on behalf of any of your family members 18 years of age or older who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents" which is confusing. This reads like he needs to fill this for my siblings who are PA's children but not part of the application. please help!
The principal applicant needs to complete this form only two times: 1. For himself 2. For spouse In both the forms he needs to provide info in “section B” about all his children, no matter what age or where they live. That line means if they are dependent and part of the pr application.

However, under the Section C heading it says, "List all trips your dependent children 18 years or older have taken outside of their country of origin or of residence in the last 10 years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than 10 years ago). Include all trips..."
In my case, I am sponsoring both my parents (mom and dad) and all my siblings (including me) are married or older than 22 and supporting ourselves. So I am assuming that we are not dependents of my Dad (the principal applicant). My confusion here is - In the first section they tell us to fill this out for all family members but under the section heading it says to fill it out only for the dependents. Hi, I have a question in IMM 5406. I am the principal applicant and being sponsored by my husband who is a PR in canada. So once i fill the form using option (yourself) do i need to add one more family member and select ( on behalf of family member) and add my husband family details right?
you need to fill this form only one time , only for yourself.
Great support and help from your videos.

Hi i have question about imm5562
I am filling out this for my mom , she is currenly in canada on supervisa, she has previously visited canada twice in last 10 years and no any other country
Do i still have to mention these trips on imm 5562 , or i can simply say did not travel, as it ask to mention trips outside your country of origin or of residence
Answer is greatly appreciated
Can we use our matriculation certificate as a birth certificate. Pl tell…..
God bless you with lot of happinesses, we wish.
Yes or back page of your Indian passport with parents name on it
When applying PR for parents, Imm008 should fill with all family members of principal applicant, like children? Or just fill the details of principals and applicant and accompanying spouse?
In IMM008, only the principal applicant and people accompanying to them.
Thank you so much for your video. However I do have one question for form IMM5562 Section B. My spouse is my sponsor who is a Canadian citizen living in Canada have to fill out part B ?
Hello, What if we dont know exact date of birth or date of death for applicants mother and father, then can we write not applicable or NA? and 2nd question is, As I am not dependent, so should i fill all the information for just one family menmer> right? and include my information in only children column and not as separate family member , right?
You have to write any date there, you can write near by dates and keep in your record to use in future.
Hello,
I am applying for my mom and my dad deceased and I didn't include him in IMM 0008, should I "Add new family member" for my dad in IMM 5406?
None of her children (my siblings) are dependent on her and they are all above 18 and I didn't include them in IMM 0008, should I "Add new family member" for each of them in IMM 5406?
No, you do not need to add your dad. your siblings information will go in section C in 5406 even though they are not dependants.
Hello Mam, I have a question. I am sponsoring my mother only and not my dad. Is he still considered a dependent and if yes . Do I have to add his travel history as well? Please advise. Thanks
Hi. Thanks for this video. Very helpful. However one question; In section B you say that you should information of all your children in which ever part of the world they are living but in the instructions it says except those who are Canadian citizens. Is that correct?
Hi did you get answer ?
Hello !
I have a very silly question~
For imm 5771 check list if doesn't apply just leave it as unchecked right ?
Yes
Hi Maam, I am sponsoring my parents. I am a Canadian PR. My father is the principal applicant. Do he need to put my name also in the Section B: Children of form IMM 5406?
Hi would like to know in Imm5406 family additional info ,if my wife is sponsoring me do I need to include my parents and grand parents infos too and by separate ?
Hi great video. I have one doubt so hope you could help me understand. My brother, who is a Canadian citizen, is in the process of sponsorship my parents. In form IMM5406, who is the principal applicant, my father ?
I have a question about 5406. If u have a 5 yr old child would u have to put the marital status. Cause technically they don't have any
Thank you for your videos..can you pls advise rgding letter of explanation for providing alternate documents like birth certificate and marriage certificates..does this letter need to be written by sponsor or applicant?
You no need to write any explanation letter for alternate documents. What you can do e.g. let’s say you want to use passport as a “ proof of marriage “ just make a photocopy of passport page with information. On the top of the page write “ proof of marriage for so and so” and then scan and upload it.
@@CanadianCharisma thank you for clarifying..much appreciated
Hi thank you for the video
In Form 5669 for my dad’s education - my dad had complete BCom which is 3 years in India however my dad has repeated 1 year . In that case should i add 3 or 4 years in college?
3
Regarding 5669. Im sponsoring my parent is 77 years old, do i need to add my siblings who are 18 years and above? All of my siblings have their own family now
No
For IMM 5406, Section B Child, do we need to provide our own information as a child for our parent even thought ourselves are sponsors for our parent? Another question, if my mom divorced with my dad, and my dad deceased, does my mom needs to add my dad's info in spouse section? Thanks for your answer!
Yes, all the children. Just choose “ divorced “ in marital status in 5406 and write “ not applicable “ in spouse section.
Choose “divorced” in 0008 and provide the information of your dad in “ have you previously ...”
@@CanadianCharisma got it! Thank you!
I have a question, in my case, i do not have a spouse, just mother, father and 5 siblings. Do i need to fill this form (5406) 8 times (for each person), repeating the same format? Thanks for your help.
Are the siblings dependent? Means under 22 years of age and not married?
@@CanadianCharisma I put all of my family members (father, mother, 5 siblings) under dependent because it was saying you should list all the family members whether they will be accompanying you to Canada or not. 2 of them are under 19 and 2 are over 22. They are not married.
2 siblings under 19, will be accompanying me to Canada in the next 2 years.
What if there is only one parent is applying do we still have to add the other parents information on imm 0008 and imm5669
My Father is not applying at the moment just my mom

Do you have to include 1 week vacation travel in the IMM 5669 form? and include the hotel's address then?
No, you need to mention that in travel form if you went out of country.

I have filled 5562 (travel history) myself and my spouse (dependent) my son is in canada and permanent resident. Should i also fill his travel history or not.
If you are a parent, who wants to be PR of Canada, then you could be a principal applicant and your spouse a dependent. You need to provide info for both of you in this form.
Your son in Canada is Sponsor and his spouse can be a co-signer, you do not need his info in this form

you can write the expory date there.
In which form we need to fill up years of elementary, secondary and other qualification need to mention
IMM 5569
I think you can type name in your native language by using google translate and copy paste name from there. Can we do that?
yes
Does the check list need a signature? Whose? The guide shows the checklist under the sponsers paragraph . Does the sponser n co signer hv to tick n sign n send PA to upload
No one need to sign the checklist.
I would suggest to add yourself, because there is no harm to provide more info than less
I dont think Form IMM 5406 says anywhere that "add ONLY folks who are NOT already Canadian citizens or Permanent residents"
Thank you so much for your earlier reply
Always welcome
Great video thanks. Regarding IMM 5406 Section B: Children (3:33)
In the instructions it says "You (the principal applicant) must fill out this form for yourself and on behalf of any of your family members 18 years of age or older who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents"
So, if a child of the Principal Applicant is a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Canada, do they need to be added as children?
@@melaniesmit hi did you get answer ? I am in same situation
Took a chance and only listed children.
My son is sponsoring us under PGP programme & is our representative. After filling in form 5476, where shall he submit it?
In your account, there is an intake tab for 5476
Thanks for the video.

Do we have to scan the back of the photo too with a photographer stamp, etc.? and join with the front and upload on the portal?
Yes
@@CanadianCharisma so the front of the photo will also be scanned? because in general they give us the digital copy of front which looks good and ready to use for any cards. If we also scan the front, it will look kind of a scanned copy, so not sure if the quality remains intact. What do you think?
Yes, you need to upload both sides of the picture, it is fine if the quality is a little low.

@@CanadianCharisma the imm5669 the education history lines are limited for how many words you can type in.

Just write the name in short form. It does not matter.

Is the information regarding siblings of principal applicant or dependent is mandatory? What if they are not in talking terms with each other? Can we just write not applicable?
Yes, it is mandatory, does not matter how is the relationship at present. If your parents don’t remember their date of birth, not a problem if you provide any approximate date

I know that my father has to fill out the IMM 5406 ("Additional Family Information") form. However - my mother is also required to fill out this form as the spouse of my father- I'm confused about how to fill it out. On the version of my father, under "Applicant," I obviously put the name of my father as the principal applicant. However, on my mother version of the form, under "Applicant" whose name must be written?

Yes, you can use passport. write "proof of marriage" on the top of photocopy.

"All dependent children 18 years of age or older": Who are dependent children here? only those who will be applying for PR and traveling with the Principal applicant? or it can be any children working and living in any country? will the sponsor be a dependent children too?
Any child under age of 22 and not married considered as a dependent child. Please ask exact question with form number and question number.

He dont know their date of birth instead he knows his sister's age, can he write" 65 years" in the date of birth column and
also he knows his brother 's year of birth , can he write just year instead of whole stuff.
Generic application form for Canada (IMM 0008)
Dependants
You must provide details about each of your family members, whether they will come with you to Canada or not. You must list all your children even if they are already permanent residents or citizens of Canada).
In IMM 0008: You need to add the principal applicant’s spouse and only the dependent children if they have any (under 22 years of age and not married)
In IMM 5406: section B: need to provide info of all the children, no matter what age and where they live.
The principal applicant needs to complete this form only two times:
1. For himself
2. For spouse
In both the forms he needs to provide info in “section B” about all his children, no matter what age or where they live.
That line means if they are dependent and part of the pr application.
