+Lupe Absolutely! I started listening Radiohead in 2012, so there was no "disappointment" for me in their evolution, but I can not understand why this album is so incredibly underrated by most of their own fans.
Its questionable if it will happen, i think the studio version sadly wasn't as good as it could have been, where the live version of some of the songs turn into good/alright to fucking amazing (bloom im looking at you) I still think Lotus Flower followed by codex followed by give up the ghost into separator is so fucking strong like all 4 great great songs but then i think the first half could have been better. I doubt this will get the same treatment as kid A in some time but
I agree with morning mr magpie, also bloom is a lot more beautiful and well done live, but lotus flower while it is great live i also still love it in studio, and still fits well with the lyrics (the lyrics to that song is fucking great if u ask me)
I've always been a huge Radiohead fan, but to be honest, I haven't given the last two albums much of a listen...until recently. It's like discovering them all over again and I'm over the moon (shaped pool) :]
This version is so much better than the studio version. This version feels more insane and fast while the studio version is very quiet and a bit slow in my opinion.
This is might cause a shitstorm, but I agree with you. I absolutely adore The Beatles, and while I agree they have had a stronger impact in music than Radiohead (not to say that they haven't done so as well), but Radiohead's music just covers all the aspects that I look for in bands.
Radiohead makes the most diverse and most original sounding music I've heard in the last 20 some years. Not to say there aren't other amazing artists, Radiohead just happens to be this amazing formula of texture, tone and originality. Like The Beatles.
i heard jonhhy made a special semi- software(program) on the computer to get all the rythms the right place for this album this album is such a masterpiece.
he possibly used a modified (by himself) version of a Max Patch, 'Ms. Pinky' (as referenced by Nigel) used for controlling computer parameters with a turntable in order to build digital tape loops and such.
Funny how this song is the funeral march exactly if slowed down a lot. What chemicals he was under when suddenly deciding to play it very fast I don't want to know.
They all are key components to the band, think of it as a lovely dish, the ingredients won't be good on their own but if they all contribute they can make a very taste dish (mhhh radiohead, my favourite dish im hungry now)
Seriously, the live version of king of limbs should have been released. It's more energetic than their earlier albums but too introspective to come across as such.
saw them in boston and the first word that came to my mind when they played this song was nasty. straight up nasty. that's a word i never associated with radiohead before.
I would also agree, as the Beatles have some absolutely fabulous songs, those songs aren't nearly as deep or original as at the very least most of the Beatles music does not provide.
such a cool guy. stuff honestly if u think its the worst go ahead by all means stop saying its like an objective truth, why would u even bother to comment on this video then haha
King of limbs is something that in like 10 years the mainstream is going to discover and hail as next level music.
+saldunlop It's almost like they redid Kid A in the context of the time period
"This is to all the critics who listened to Kid A once and said "Ah, they've lost it"
Same applies to TKOL
+Lupe Absolutely! I started listening Radiohead in 2012, so there was no "disappointment" for me in their evolution, but I can not understand why this album is so incredibly underrated by most of their own fans.
Not really. TKOL is just a weak Radiohead album and hasn't gotten better with age like Kid A or even Amnesiac.

The tempo used when they play this song makes it 10x better than the studio recording.
+Christian Boswell Absolutely agree, original album version is very tame. Almost didnt know this was the same song
I agree with morning mr magpie, also bloom is a lot more beautiful and well done live, but lotus flower while it is great live i also still love it in studio, and still fits well with the lyrics (the lyrics to that song is fucking great if u ask me)
totally agree, love thoms strum attack and phils playing
I saw them twice on this tour. This sped up tempo is so great for this song.
It’s a bit like the national anthem.
Colin Greenwood like a BOSS
+John Ferrari because of camera staff
cozzie has got the sleaze bass
Sam Hirsh what is sleaze bass
I've always been a huge Radiohead fan, but to be honest, I haven't given the last two albums much of a listen...until recently. It's like discovering them all over again and I'm over the moon (shaped pool) :]
So far I like TKOL way better than A Moon Shaped Pool
Same happened to me with King of Limbs and Hail to the Thief
This version is so much better than the studio version. This version feels more insane and fast while the studio version is very quiet and a bit slow in my opinion.
You're pointing out the obvious! Wtf?

Phil’s a legend.
In live it's so much better than the in album version, more alive
Oh yeah. Thom looks and Sounds Great! The energy of the performance is great too. That crowd was hypnotized!
I really like the original vocal melodies better.. but it's quite pleasant to see him singing like he doesn't give a fuck. This shit is bananas.
*cough* you should listen to the national anthem nsl live, that gives more of that impression
Hearing this recording/song put Radiohead over the top for the umpteenth time again for me.
This live performance releases the unbridled energy and exhilarating rhythm due to interaction with a live audience.
it's cool how Thom works so hard for the band
Can hardly wait for the October 06 show, Thank you PBS !!! Austin City Limits xoxo
how was it may i ask? :)
So...is this a 'typical' RH performance? I was blown away. This guy must have burned 40,000 calories in 53 minutes on stage during this show....
That's some nasty badass riff
For a phenomenal performance of this song, check out their April 2012 Coachella concert on RUclips.
my boss thom-thom told me to watch this.
Djlullaby22 Bosses Hang - Godspeed You! Black Emperor
I prefer this version over the album version, this is awesome
my god.. so intense!!! love
On another level
LOVELY RADIOHEAD!
This version is alot more rocking than the album version. I like both tho.
I could watch thom playing this song on guitar all day
Is this about Coldplay?

Fucking awesome
2:02 best of best
favourite moment of this song!
Dynamite performance
2 drummers??. This is the SHIT!
It's the drummer of Portishead !!!
How so? They're both amazing drummers...
Check out their song Bloom. They have 3 drummers for that one!
***** I think you didn't understand my comment. I meant it is great the fact they had two drummers on the set.
Dalton Messmer Is that in this show?. Or is it another one?
Does anyone know how Jonny gets that meow sound on guitar at 2:03?
Funny how this song is the funeral march exactly if slowed down a lot. What chemicals he was under when suddenly deciding to play it very fast I don't want to know.
Holy shit.
now upload the complete set
They shot Clive more than Phil. WTF?
Los putos amos!!
how the hell can the crowd just stand to this track!?...
3:54
Colin: Here, tab this bitch!
Colin Greenwood makes the band, I'm sorry, but its true :)
They all are key components to the band, think of it as a lovely dish, the ingredients won't be good on their own but if they all contribute they can make a very taste dish (mhhh radiohead, my favourite dish im hungry now)
Explain please :)
@@Amphanotes well said!
His little jumps are everything
wow it almost sounds manic now.
This song is unreal on 0.75 speed
YOOOOO
RIGHT FUCKING NOW
Seriously, the live version of king of limbs should have been released. It's more energetic than their earlier albums but too introspective to come across as such.
saw them in boston and the first word that came to my mind when they played this song was nasty. straight up nasty. that's a word i never associated with radiohead before.
Haha if you think about it the beat in this track is like a really sped up version of separator.
Does anyone know why the 'There there' performance during this concert disappeared from RUclips?
2:02 COLLIINNNNNNN
it's good. i don't think of radiohead having much of an edge but this version of magpie is certainly edgy. phil sets the mood of the song.
Fucking Colin fucking slaps.
Wtf when did radiohead get a second Phil Selway
I like 'em more than the beatles *waits for hate comments*
The drummer's been cloned.
1:09 My god, Thom looks stoned as hell.
johnny marr jaguar :D \o/
They got hurt by the volume of their own amps.
I would also agree, as the Beatles have some absolutely fabulous songs, those songs aren't nearly as deep or original as at the very least most of the Beatles music does not provide.
why arent the crowd going fucking insane to this??? like how can you stand that still when this song is playing I dont get it
Саундтрек из сериала Мистер Мерседес 1 сезон 7 серия,кому интересно!)
Angst !!!!
This song is about the JQ
Thom
Is that bad or good?
Poor Phil Selway. He just couldn't keep up.
"...Put me inside, put me inside, put me inside, put me inside..."
Anyone?
....that's what he said?
wat?
The studio version of this song sucks ass. The live version freakin rocks. Man what a difference.
The studio version is amazing, what are you talking about, man?
@@surroundgatari all I’ll say is this version is much more compelling
Honestly Thomas sings bad in this version
He must hate Austin
..... WHAT ?!?!.!?
Tim Y0da sing bad?!! Wtf man
wors song of then
worst song of radiohead
such a cool guy. stuff honestly if u think its the worst go ahead by all means stop saying its like an objective truth, why would u even bother to comment on this video then haha
