- Mixed media mandala drawing on painted paper. I drew this doodle with paint pens. Gem stickers were added for sparkling 3-D effect.

This is gorgeous! Can I ask what you used to create the dots? It looks like a brush but that maybe it's not? Just curious I like how uniform it makes the dots.
Thanks! It is an embossing stylus. It is Martha Stewart's Brand, sold at Michael's Craft store (i think the set cost about $14 Canadian). They are sold in a set of 3 (6 different size tips, 1 on each end of the stylus) I USE THEM ALL THE TIME! The are so useful. :)

just loved it . I wanted to ask that if we use painted paper it would become soft so how we can use marker wont it spread?
I wouldn't use regular markers for this. Drawing on the painted paper would suck the life out of the marker very quickly. I use PAINT markers when drawing on painted paper. I like using OIL-based paint markers(Sharpie brand) because they last a long time, they glide on with ease and they also dry shiny . I also use the water-based paint markers that dry matte (without shine).
POSCA paint markers are an excellent choice too. I love the white one, they bright and opaque. I hope I've answered your question. Have a wonderful day. :)

This is nice but it’s not real mixed media
Thanks and yes, I believe it is. In visual art, mixed media is an artwork in which more than one medium or material has been used. Using acrylic paint, ink, oil-base paint markers, rhinestone stickers, etc is considered mixed media when applied to the same piece. Please define "real" if I am mistaken.
