Yes. It’s when your conceptualisation of your life, which you had identified with, collapses.
Maybe the collective ego is going through the dark night of the soul right now, where nothing seems to make sense, and a lot of collective large scale chaos and confusion is occurring. Maybe the dark times we live in right now are part of a collective ego collapse that hopefully someday soon is replaced by joy and peace on earth.

I had the same experience, before and after the narcissist. It wasn’t even a relationship. An online contact & one visit 😅but his dog loved me dearly. 😊Poor thing was used to scare people away.

@@randomelvis3359 absolutely. I understood very quick this was a familiar type of person. Since it was a pattern in my life. After studying N character I realised I was surrounded since my birth by narcs. I also saw why it became my pattern. Now I recognise it in an early stage.
@@jokedevries I found lots of peace comes after studying the N… seeing my part played was the magic…. How i’d long for attachment/other’s confirmation… which is never truly needed. The N’s in my past I actually pray for… forgiveness is good for the soul and a great reminder you just know how to be… It’s lovely to connect with you in this moment… I know your journey has been tough, but think now what you’ve learnt through the suffering (suffering IS the teacher) and sit in this gratitude in blissful peace 😃✨🙏🏻

I went to a place where the world no longer made sense. It seemed all pointless. I realized that we are not what we gave meanings to....and then I turned to God and realized we are God's infinite children and we are as God created us...to be love and that is being enough.

After a hurricane, my husband and my business was totally destroyed. Our house was very damaged, my oldest son joined the Navy, my younger son left for college, then on Halloween morning my husband didn't wake up. He had suddenly passed away in his sleep. It was too much for me to handle. I lost everything it seemed, I was suddenly alone. I lost my identity, almost my mind. My husbands death traumatized me.

The pandemic did this to me. It took my career, my fiancée, my dogs, and everything I own away from me. I'm slowly building back now. It's not the same, it can become better though.

I had the dark night of the soul. Homeless,addicted, domestic violence, all happening for years. I still have ego after it though but it not feels like there is someone else in there controlling my thoughts. I did. have psychosis many times so I don’t know if I for a bit of schizophrenia

I'm still clinging on to the idea of becoming a therapist. I am 10 subjects away from getting my degree, but honestly, i don't even want it anymore. It is so, so hard to let go of it. I have not gone to University in a year, yet I still say I study psychology, but that it is "on pause", because I'm afraid of admitting that that's not who I am anymore, i can't let go of that character and give way to the one I deep down know is me. It's like i will lose my sense of self if I do so.😭
But if u don’t have a plan of what you’ll do after that , at least don’t escape ur degree and after u get it you’ll have the choice to continued or stop and start with your true soul,nature and personality decision and behavior…
And remember do not continue with something who’s not aligned with ur character and behavior , do what u love to do whatever the consequences and the people and u you’ll have a great life full of peace ,love and light…

A whole lot of people graduate from college and do not pursue their intended profession. Some believe they must have a degree. Is that what you believe? If that is so, then do it. Once you have it, pursue your true desires.
Peace doesn't live in the outcome, or a degree. Peace lives in the moment, it is in that moment you will find the answers you are looking for. Pursue peace.
Update: I quit University, focused that energy on self-development, had my spiritual awakening ¨out of the blue¨, and I am happier than ever, haha. So crazy how letting go of what was no longer serving me changed my life for good so much.
I would recommend at the very least, take a course here or there while you pursue what you like. Then you will graduate before your really know it! That degree would be a most amazing fall back plan and it looks damn good on a resume!

great explanation.. and it sounds avoidable through not projecting expectations but rather being in the NOW and to be grateful in the now.. that’s how you charge the present now with the frequencies of the heart thus charging the present moment with love… and since all time happens in the now by being in the heart frequency now it affects all time past and future and then there is no “dark night of the soul” as the soul is continuously being infused with love.
And yet, no matter how fast the light travels, the darkness was there first...😉🖤
@@mdavidom5903 yes exactly. darkness is but the absence of light. I love Eckhart’s meditation where you find those spaces of nothingness within your presence like finding the troughs of darkness within the light waves are the troughs of silence within the sound waves. Working with that really opened me up more to the void and really help me to appreciate the dark..
I don’t think it’s ”avoidable”, I think it’s something your inner self draws to you, to encourage growth/change, and the pain is largely from the normal self resisting the change-which is natural
@@Chirael that’s exactly where the “avoidable” part comes in. Learn how to identify the source and work to eliminate the resistance… it’s not “normal” human response.. it’s a product of social conditioning but it’s fixable which happens by being in the now and then filling that now with gratitude, appreciation, the frequencies of the heart…
@@TheMediumChannel perhaps, but I tend to think of it as much more...it accommodates the light, almost pulling it, allowing it to be seen, to know itself, but it is still a force, an entity, a boundless oceanic consciousness....this really makes more sense to me, especially when thinking about what we have understood as “dark matter” or “black holes” in the universe...🖤💚

I have finally found out what it is I am going through. It helps a bit to know what this was and is and that I am not alone, as per this thread I know that this is what I am experiencing, but wow I feel so alone right now..

IMHO, Tolle is one of the greatest teachers of higher Christianity.
I say that only because I started out Christian. At the highest levels, all religions are one.

My life had no meaning ! It was a meaningless existence .
But then on Thanksgiving morning of November 2021 , I was taken to the ER for fatigue, weakness, fever , night sweats and loss of weight . Diagnosis - Triple Hit , Stage 4, DLBCL aggressive - Cancer ! With Cachexia, Ascites and Lymphedema ravaging my 65 yo body ! I lost 60 lbs in a matter of days - 175 lbs to 115 and dropping . ( I resembled a WWII Auschwitz survivor ! ) I was given 4 weeks because the Cancer had spread everywhere and began to make its way to my - stomach , liver, spleen, kidneys, lung , diaphragm and attacking all my vital organs. The Angel of Death was at my door , stared at me and motioned me to come.
But the “ Man upstairs” tapped him on the shoulder and whispered - “ you’re at the wrong house ! “ And told him to move along .
It was then that I realized the meaningfulness of my life!

I always get the fear that when i go into void after following the awakening steps then i wont be able to interact with other people or family immediately, then it brings the fearful thought that they will understand that something like psycosis has happened to me ( also to mention i get literal trembling when following through the book or videos)
