    I'd love to know how many people were like me and didn't know this kind of tropical landscape existed in the UK and who did know?

      Hi Malik. I forget how beautiful greenery can be as it's everywhere in the UK, but you're right, so many countries just don't have that level of it. So pleased I was able to capture the beauty of this place for you to have seen it too!

      @@WhenAdventureKnox you know such open green places with blowing wind give me pleasant feelings and I feel so happy. Specially when sunlight in winter and sitting on green soft grass looking at flying and singing birds over water....

    Crazy to see how touristy Lands End is - very disappointed to see that you have to pay to get a photo with the sign - I always thought it would be free! When I visited John O Groats last year it was a bit touristy but nothing like what you have shown us here, and there was no charge for a photo with the sign! I had not heard of the Minack Theatre before but what a place! Terrific setting looking over the sea and rocky coastline, glad you enjoyed the show 👍. Porthcurno Beach looked amazing as you were speaking afterwards too. Thanks for sharing your tips on how best to structure the day - I definitely want to make it down to Lands End some day so I'm sure they will come in useful. Brilliant video as usual 🙌

      Hi Matt, thank you again for such kind and lovely words! 🙏 I learnt after our visit to watch a performance at the Minack that you can also take tours of it and there's a little museum to learn more about its creator, how the place was put together etc. I wish I'd known ahead of time as I'd have loved to take a tour of the place. Not sure what tickets are like outside the school holidays, but I had to book quite a bit in advance for performance tickets which was a gamble as it could have been torrential rain. I was interested to see how people would react to my depiction of Lands End - though I'm not too surprised that you share the same sentiment as me, I feel like we're quite similar in this!!

      @@WhenAdventureKnox Yeah definitely, I'd say we're thinking along the same lines. I don't blame anyone for trying to make a living but enforcing the use of a professional photographer to take a picture with a signpost just seems a little greedy and unnecessary to me! They clearly know they're sitting on a gold mine and when the people are literally queueing up to pay they're not going to change anything! I had no idea it was privately owned!

    To think I visited the Minack theatre by car and completely missed all the small beautiful beaches around it (except Porthcurno Beach, which we did enjoy).
    I feel another trip coming on, and this time it'll involve the same hike as yours!

      Such a wonderful part of the UK to get to go back to and explore, so fingers crossed you're able to visit the other beaches next time around! I too found out after this trip that the next beach around after Porthcurno is also stunning so next time we make it back to that neck of the woods, I too will be off in search of another beach round there!

      Sorry for my delay in response - annoyingly RUclips seemed to think your post was 'likely spam' so was hidden away from me. Thank you so much for your kind comments, and always good to know I'm not alone in my thoughts about Lands End and leaving quickly. Thank you for the sub too - means a lot being such a small channel!

    Quite an interesting video and hike! I myself am planning to visit there in July with family and most probably will take this route. How much time did it take you guys to cover from Land's End to Porthcurno beach minus the time spent on Minack theatre? On a scale of 1-10, how difficult the hike is with 10 being the extremely difficult?

    • @WhenAdventureKnox
      @WhenAdventureKnox  2 года назад +1

      Hi Dikshant, so pleased you enjoyed the video. We often find it difficult to re-tell how long it takes us as we add so much time due to filming and going back to collecting the camera. I think 3 hours would allow you to do it comfortably taking a nice break for lunch. I'd personally recommend getting the bus to the start point and then walking back to where you park the car if using a car like us. It's always a tricky one to give a difficulty scale as what one person may find easy, another may find difficult. In comparison to hiking a mountain, this was very easy. In comparison to other parts of the SW Coast Path which were a lot more up and down, this too was relatively easy. There were some rockier parts of the coast path on this section, but there's also options to take shortcuts if feeling tired. The weather didn't help us as it was extremely hot making it more difficult than had the weather been a bit more 'usual'. I'd maybe vote it a 6/10?

    Hi, you are giving me lovely ideas for my holiday in England. Thank you! I was wondering how long the walk from Land's End to Minack was? We are planning on doing the same and want to make sure to plan enough time.

    • @WhenAdventureKnox
      @WhenAdventureKnox  Год назад

      Hi Vanessa. I'm so pleased it's given lots of inspiration. I'm afraid this is always a very difficult one for me to answer as we take so much longer due to filming things. However All Trails seems to think just over 2 hours (but this must be at pace and not stopping for anything!) Walking Britain suggests 4 hours 40. I'd allow for a full day out if you want to have a mosey around Lands End, a leisurely lunch and maybe enjoy a beach or 2 for a little while. I hope this helps.
