Harris is comparing an ethnicity/heritage with a religion. Does he not understand how stupid this is? This is liek comparing Mormons to Mongolians.
I actually didn't see it that way until you pointed it out. Most Jews are just non-religious Europeans who had Jewish relatives (as well as mixed christians ancestry but they'll conveniently leave that out to push their narrative regarding Jewish achievements).
@@mrt445 Another thing is, 99% of these "achievements" he mentions are all by secular Ashkenazi white Jews, not by Orthodox Jews, Sephardi's or Mizrahi's. It's a very special subset of the Jews that skews the entire analysis.
Furthermore, comparing Jewish "achievement" with any group, even sophisticated one's like Japanese or Koreans will yield similar results, this is why some ppl have speculated about "Ashkenazi intelligence" . Harris knows he's being disingenuous here.
@@hansfrankfurter2903 Exactly. Just to slightly change the topic for a second, he's also been asked on many occasions why he supports Israel. I'm non European or Jewish and I've heard him say that systemic racism and discrimination against other races are no longer issues in the west like they once were, things have vastly improved and will further improve which I agree with 100% but he's also said word for word that, "If Israel did not exist and Jews simply went back and lived in European nations today the Holocaust would 100% occur again"..... Seemed like a weird contradiction to make. I've asked him directly via pm to explain why he felt this way but he hasn't responded
@@mrt445 That's a very perceptive comment. It kind of defeats the entire "reason" why Israel needs to exist. Not mention, that more than half the Jews in Israel have dual nationalities with other western countries, and it's extremely easy for Israeli's to move to any place they'd like in Europe or North America.
To be honest though, Israel was not founded because of of the Holocaust, the intellectual milieu of Zionism goes back to 1850-60 with a guy called Moses Hess who was ironically a famous socialist thinker. The idea of Zionism was a romantic nationalist idea influenced by the Nation State movements in Europe at the time. Much of what we hear today as justifications for Israel are all post hoc excuses.

Hmm on that basis India would be the most advance nation right since they have such a high population or better yet why is the USA More technological advance than China ? It’s got more to do with where you are in the world under what circumstances you grow up in and where you get schooled. Pakistan Bangladesh and India hold about 400 million Muslims who are mainly living in poverty and basic surging is their goal. Which is why you get more intellectual Muslims from the ones who study in the best universities in the west. More often or not Jews study in better university
