I was a police officer for 11yrs. Had to give it up because I found out that I was having Focal Awareness Seizures. Now I've been working for a school district as a Hall Safety monitor. I pretty much walk all day and put up with our future leaders attitudes 😂. My experience with my condition comes in handy with other students who have Epilepsy. I'm able to work 40 hrs a week. I have my seizures around the end of the month. I also had VNS put in about 5yrs ago. It helps out a whole lot.
Yea i kinda a same story.But the government bs pharmaceutical doctor drug dealers were lieing to me about my epilepsy saying i need my 💊 and if i dont take them ill die.Im 6 months weaned off of vimpat and im seizure free and and the only reason i believe i was getting any seizures was withdrawals from clonipin and the doctors wouldn't listen to that theory i had they wanted to prescribe me for 12 years of 5 different meds and allergic to most of them and now im just working to get free from the poisons i was given by the hospitals.Dont trust a doctor that will really only benefit to keep to you coming into his office not one that would feel good about himself healing people.Just like a psychology drug them up and keep them on the couch and keep medicaid paying my mortgage.
Hi Paul. I'm not currently working. The minute I disclose I have epilepsy I just find I'm treated differently. The best place I worked in was a hospital, if you could try that? They had no issues with my seizures

I’m going through voc rehab to help get a job. It’s a national program that can help with job placement.

I can work. And my bad epilepsy isn't an issue. I wish i could talk with u.
We have so much same feelings
I get nothing 848 a month and thats it and they tell me if i work i lose that and its harder to find places that want epilepsy
