Everything You Didn't Know About Interstellar: ruclips.net/video/Oln4uKHKStU/видео.html
He learned the Boba Fett effect. That was a hugely needed part, even if at the time he got surprised by how big the movie was so the part wasn't as big as thought it might be.
He did character perfectly and it made Casey's part of the movie work, wouldn't have worked if Timothee didn't pull it off with his part.
Bro has a PhD in facts🤝🏽
Boba fett effect?
The Boba Fett Effect - When a character's aesthetics and notion of depth outweigh true characterization and importance in a story to the point of inspiring a widespread following.
So basically, this doesn't apply at all here. He's not remembered for lookin cool. Nor did they make a toy or cartoon of him.
@@JohnnyNiteTrain
Fair enough! I am using it flippantly. Maybe this...:
"There are no small parts, only small actors" - Christopher Nolan
@@LeethLee1 yeah I get what you're saying. Also, Stanislavski said that. Maybe Nolan quoted him? Btw, I saw Oppenheimer yesterday one last time in the theater while it was back. Couldn't get into Dune Part 2 so I figured it'd be my last chance to see it on the big screen (saw it twice in IMAX last summer. Yesterday was just the regular screen but still awesome nonetheless)
his part was crucial to the story. I remember seeing him and being like.. that kid is going places.
Plus he had more screen time than Matt damon
@@king_rage1Matt Damon went home and cried when he saw this
Cap bro cap asf
No you fking didn't.
I didnt even realize he was in the movie, or that she had a brother
Oh my god that was Timothee... I had no idea
me niether because his role was very small
If you ever got into the show Homeland back in the day he was a pretty integral character in season 2. Cool to see where they started.
Same
Interstellar was my Top 1 movie and have also 0 idea Tim was there. 😂
Just learned it today. Well whaddaya know!
Everyones part was crucial. The movie was perfect down to the last minute detail.
The reunion scene at the movie is wayyyyy to short and not emotional enough for me. And I give the movie like a 9.8/10 so I’m not a hater. But he’s literally there for 3 min after the whole movie trying to get back to her? They could have really nailed it if earlier in the movie they showed him climb into bed with Murph when she was crying about him leaving, and he could have crawled into her hospital bed in a similar way and shot with the same camera angle, showing how love never changes for a father-and I would have bawled like a baby.
@@-qj6ps Nah that would be weird... It was perfect. If you go back to the "ghosts of our children" line then you don't need that at all. She lived a fulled life, did great things because of her dad, and he lost everything because of it. She is setting him free with her wisdom because she is wiser than he is. That's the point. That's why he has to leave right then because that will be the only person alive that he knows.
@@KiloPage777 after only 3 minutes…
I understood that reference mr Homelander 😂
@@-qj6ps I get what you mean, but there are multiple reasons why I think it works (apart from the real-world limit on the length of the film). Firstly, if they stretched it out for longer it might not have felt as poignant or as effective; and secondly, I don't count those few minutes as the only time they reunite, as yes that is the only time they see each other again properly, but they do communicate through the tesseract so there's a connection there.
Even a minor role in a huge movie like Interstellar is a great accomplishment…
You beat out hundreds of people for 1 part!!! And now you can add it to your resume and other casting agents are going to love that. They will fully acknowledge and take into consideration the experience you gained from working beside Christopher Nolan and other A-list actors. There’s no need to cry at all. There’s thousands of people who would kill to have an even smaller part with just 1 line.
I think he’s doing fine now lol
Who are you talking to bro? Chalamet is Willy Wonka and Paul Atreides
Casey Affleck was phenomenal in this recently I saw the special screening of Interstellar and I wept at the scenes Casey tells him about his life through tapes. He played the part of a broken man protecting his family flawlessly.
Unlike his brother, Casey is so much more underrated as for me he’s a much better actor as he was amazing in “Gone Baby Gone” and lest not forget “Triple 9”! Two top drawer films that for me should have done much better at the box office!
Which special screening?
He had only a small part in Oppenheimer too but such a pivotal scene.
@@JohnnyNiteTrainhe was bone chilling in Oppenheimer
@@slimelove3493to the core!!!
Timothee played a really good part for the short amount of screen time he got. He set it up perfectly for Casey Affleck to step into. Both actors that played the kids definitely showed what they were made of.
I think he should be in another Nolan movie
I think he will be, If CN will make Inception sequel. He will be true heir to Leonardo Dicaprio.
@@DDR131he’s not gonna make an inception sequel. It ended on too good and ambiguous of a note to continue the film in any way.
Over time this has become my all time favorite movie.
That scene between Mathew and Jessica as father and daughter, always makes me teary ..i have no idea why ...
And Hans Zimmer's TIme theme absolutely magnificent...
Nolan and Zimmer ❤
Time is from Inception.
The theme in Interstellar is called No Time for Caution
Over time, as he continues to grow, he will realize (he probably already has) that he owes a lot of his success to this role and Nolan. He was really great in Dune though. He's going places
" Me " was a great part you added 🔥
When a young potential future Oscar winner gets a tiny small role in a Nolan movie, you understand how magnificent the cast actually is. Christopher Nolan is a genius director. In this era of CGI slambang with no space for actual acting, it's no wonder that real actors would be grateful to get the tiniest of tiny roles in a Nolan movie, perhaps the last great director currently. Many actors would do it for free.
I’d imagine so many people got into Hollywood because of Nolan. He’s one of those names like Tarantino and Spielberg who inspire generations of actors and directors. When I first saw Batman Begins, I watched it almost every weekend until my parents let me watch The Dark Knight. Then I watched The Dark Knight almost every weekend until The Dark Knight rises released on DVD.
Knockout film, and Nolan is pure Genius.🤓
He was definitely still a kid, I remember feeling bummed out after watching Fury Road when I was 15, mainly because I had some crazy preconceived notion that it would be more narrative driven.
I got over it very quickly and it's still one of my favorite action films of all time.
Cute to see this sensitive side to him.
Instead of thinking about how small was his part he should've been super grateful to be part of such an epic film n to have been worked for Nolan
exactly… he got a part in a nolan movie when he was like 17, and not even an extra
This was the movie that made interested in timothée, because his beautiful eyes as we all know nolan has a thing for actors with beautiful (blue) eyes
The scene where Tom says goodbye to his dad really struck me. Murph is throwing a tantrum and being a kid, but Tom is also not an adult and trying to be mature and be strong, even though his heart is also breaking for "losing" yet another parent. Timmy portrayed that feeling perfectly, even if it was 10 sec of screentime. It really moved me. I wish I could tell him that.
So many filmmakers have cited seeing star wars as what got them into film, but I think that the dark knight is going to come out as the one that inspired a new generation of film fans. Its definitely what got me into film, too.
I didnt even realize he was in the movie, or that the character existed
You can't help it man, as much as I feel for Timothee here, he was going up against all time greats here. He did extremely well, and that led to Dune which is what I think his true potential come to life. He has been excellent.
I instantly become fan of the actors starring my most favourite film.
Damn you guys still make the best documentary
Thank you!
First movie I saw him in. He was great in the movie and is now one of the greatest new actors.
Facts- When i saw he was cast as young paul atreides in Dune i knew that movie would be good
Now he's the Kwisatz Haderach. Doesnt get much bigger than that.
dream role! im so jealous
Timothy Chalamet was absolutely amazing he played that part brilliantly - young character carrying more than a parent would like them to have to, but bravely doing so & showing a quiet but unassailable strength..... smallish part perhaps but that is an enormous movie
He was literally perfect for the role. He looked and acted exactly like a younger Casey afflec
Some of the most emotional scenes in film are when that
“Tough guy”
Trope finally cracks or breaks I mean I think one of the best examples is Henry Cavill in Man Of Steel after Ending Zodd
He sees what he’s done and even though it saved a family and ended the Carnage it left him with a devastating truth
He was now the last of his kind
And that broke him
Literally he wailed and then slumped over in the shock and awe of the entire fight and realization of that truth
Down to the point that Lois SAW IT and instantly went to comfort him
SO GLAD you included that scrne
And I still have some friends who don’t understand the emotional importance of that scene
The. Best. Movie. Ever.
I'm not even sure it was the best Nolan film ever lol
Casey Affleck is one of my favorite actors, even in this movie with his relatively low screen-time
Have you seen “Gerry” with Casey and Matt Damon? I stumbled upon it years ago after someone uploaded it to youtube. At first I just had it playing as background noise, but I started paying attention to it towards the end. The ending caught me so off guard that I had to rewatch the movie to appreciate it.
I think he’s good… But I think all he can do is kind of be disgruntled and pissed off at the world
Muad'dib showed great promise even then. The Mahdi is too humble!
I cried after watching this
LISAN AL GAIB! HE IS TOO HUMBLE TO BECOME A FARMER!
I think he did great, I always remembered him from this movie which is why I recognized him when he made it big lol he’s cute too haha
Made me cry too
if u found out ur movie dad loved ur movie sibling more than u, ud cry too.
Hey, he gets a top credit in interstellar so I wouldn’t complain. I get it though, every actor doesn’t know what would end up cut later on and might’ve had a ton of scenes.
Such a cool and unique backstory to be inspired by heath ledgers joker
He definitely deserved that role
Timothee will be in another Nolan film as lead actor. You watch.
I know Timothee has SO much in his future (whatever he, and we, have of it!), but the part was Exactly what it was Needed to be. He WAS VERY young (at the beginnings of what will probably be a great career), so his remark will be forgiven, but it will be difficult to be forgotten🤨🧐
One Person, on this Earth, today, is "Merely" One Eight BILLIONTH! of the population, but the EFFECT of that ONE can be SO Much Greater! than he/she could Ever have had, Earlier!! AND, that ONE is NEVER diminished in the hearts of those near him/her!!
Very good Luck in your future, Tim; but Your Part is only what YOU make of it ... there's really no room for Regret or Resentment ... like water off a Swan's back ... Not a Chia Pet's😢
I'm stirred by the dynamic impact of this content. A book with parallel themes influenced my life profoundly. "Galaxies United" by Olivia Whitestone
Guess he didn’t know he would be playing paul atreides eventually lol lucky bastard
His part was big because 7 years later he'd play Paul Atreides in a colossal blockbuster.
I never thought that was timoothee
Kind of like Christopher Lee when he saw the private viewing of Return of The King before the premiere and he wasn’t in it…
TL;DR Lee talking about the pain and betrayal he felt and Jackson talking about healing the hurt it caused their relationship.
Director Peter Jackson and the legendary Christopher Lee had a long and fruitful working relationship, thanks to Jackson’s lavish adaptations of Tolkien’s ‘Lord of the Rings’ and 'The Hobbit’, in which Lee played the diabolical Saruman The White.
But for a time, their friendship was jeopardised when Jackson cut him from the final movie in the 'Lord of the Rings’ series, 'The Return of the King’.
Lee was so angered by the move, that he boycotted the premiere. Jackson said at the time that it was for reasons of narrative that he left Lee’s part on the cutting room floor.
“The problem is that the sequence was originally shot for The Two Towers, as it is in the book. Since The Two Towers couldn’t sustain a seven-minute 'wrap’ after Helm’s Deep, we thought it would be a good idea to save it for the beginning of the Return of the King,” he told Ain’t It Cool News back in 2003.
“The trouble is, when we viewed various ROTK cuts over the last few weeks, it feels like the first scenes are wrapping last year’s movie, instead of starting the new one. We felt it got Return Of The King off to an uncertain beginning, since Saruman plays no role in the events of ROTK (we don’t have the Scouring later, as the book does), yet we dwell in Isengard for quite a long time before our new story kicks off.
“We reluctantly made the decision to save this sequence for the DVD. The choice was made on the basis that most people will assume that Saruman was vanquished by the Helm’s Deep events, and Ent attack. We can now crack straight into setting up the narrative tension of ROTK, which features Sauron as the villain.”
In the additional footage, Saruman is stabbed by Grima Wormtongue and falling from the tower, is impaled on a wooden stake projecting from a mill wheel, a conscious homage to Lee’s many theatrical turns as Dracula.
But speaking at a Q&A with students at University College Dublin in 2011, Lee said that he was taken aback when he realised he wasn’t in the movie.
“We were all shown the films in private, and when the third film came on, I couldn’t believe what I saw, because I wasn’t in it,” he said.
“The scene is one of the most important scenes in the whole trilogy, because it’s Saruman, the great mortal enemy, the most evil of them all, against the Fellowship.
“And I’m on top of the tower at Isengard, looking down at the Fellowship, and saying very nasty things to them, to Aragorn, 'this man from the woods will never be king’, and so on.
It was a long sequence, the final confrontation between the Fellowship and their greatest enemy. And it wasn’t in the film.
“No one could understand it. There were millions of hits on the internet, not just from Tolkien fans and film fans, but from everybody who had seen the first two. They said 'what happened to Saruman?’ Buy the extended DVD.”
Jackson admitted that Lee had been 'very upset’ at the time. But time, it also appeared, was a healer, as Jackson ushered him back into the fold for his 'Hobbit’ movies, despite Saruman not actually featuring in Tolkien’s novel.
Asking him to the premiere of 'An Unexpected Journey’ in 2012, Jackson told Bang! Showbiz: “I did talk to Christopher the other day about coming to the premiere and he did say, 'Am I still in the movie?!’ And this time around I could say yes!”
yes
MacKenzie Foy was amazing. I don't know why she doesn't get a lot more laudits!
I’ve watched Interstellar so many times, and didn’t even realise Timothee was in it lol. I guess I’d feel bad too if I found that the real protagonist was the sister and not him 😂 but then again, it’s an honour to be apart of the project in whatever way, shape or form.
Timothy chalamet would definitely "weep for an hour"
*finds observation needlessly diminishing & arrogant; drfensively steps back with hands up, reading commenter's handle 'blazesavage357'* "Whoa-!!"
@@StankFernatra im having a hard time understanding this one lol nice handle tho
I like how Heath says, 'Me?!' Lol
Timothy is so handsome wow
Funny is that Cooper doesnt really seem to talk about his son after a certain point in the film. He doesnt even bother asking if hes alive at the end haha
No bullshit - What’s funny about this is once I saw this film, even though his part was small, I could not forget him after this film. I remember thinking “this kid is gonna be huge one day”. I don’t know exactly what it was about him but I just knew it. And I was right!
Is it unusual...?
The story covers time
An actor for the young
An actor for the older...
Happens ALL the time...!!!
Super genius i love truth potential movie
Meanwhile, the actors in Oppenheimer…
Don’t forget Eric Forman was in the movie too lol. Red was lookin for him to put his foot up his…. 😂
Yeah I didn’t even know Tim was in it.
Small part but very memorable, I barely remember Casey Affleck from this movie.
A wonderfully casted movie. Not a single actor or actress out of part
What's the background music pls ??
Timothee is the ideal son material every father wants
After watched this film so many times in the last 10 years, I just realised Matthew and Jessica never shared any screen time together, despite the relationship of their characters.
Matt has visited space two times already
Man... 0:23 i bet Timothee could play young Paul Mccartney if movie about the beattles is real
Better to be in a single scene and be pivotal than be a featured character with their entire subplot cut.
I can tell without as a 22 year old guy my mirror in my bathroom and my car have seen more tears from me then any of my friends or family
Why
Because I’m alone and know no one will bother me there
C'est réglé pour toi Timothée. Dorénavant, plus besoin de pleurer... Du moins pas pour de telles raisons.
I completely forgot about Timmy being in the movie.
Willy Wonka is Cooper's son? Epic.
So he cried because his part wasn’t big , not that he was apart of a fantastic movie ?
He was a kid and it was a big movie so relatively he was like 'oh man i thought it was bigger part'.
I get that, hopefully he realizes now it was cult status, like Matt Damon having a cameo in the way he did.
@@LeethLee1 he was 19 years old
@@germanhess that's a kid lmao
@@upsetjuice I agree, but it is very childish behavior even for that age
@@germanhess i mean if you worked super hard and saw a movie that you were in and you really loved it but you realized you weren't all that important you'd probably be upset too.
Tells us a lot about the guy
Timothy not many actors can say they’ve been in a Nolan movie. In my opinion only the greats participate in movies whether their roles are big or small.
i didnt rlly like how they just left tom and murph was with dad cooper. if they included him more, that wouldve been the best
What happened to Tom in the end?? Did he die??
id cry if i can be even just a speck of sand in his movie lmao
Wept for an hour
Takes a real man to admit that
I just realized he is Paul Atreides isnt he ?
I totally forgot Timothee Chalamet was in this
Matt Damon, in two Christopher Nolan movies
Bro appreciate you got on the movie
Tell that to some actors of Oppenheimer
Mackenzie ❤
Man up and be thankful you were even in the movie. Sheesh
I didnt remember timothee was in this 😅
I can never understand why Mathew McConoughy dosnt give a shit about his son in this?
Why did he look older than he does now
Nah his part was crucial, without him having a kid and wife murph modt likely wouldnt have visted then causing the death of everyone
Jesus loves yall u can still turn to Him 💯💯💯
Except for Batman trilogy, I never fully understand Christopher Nolan's film.
U need big brain then😂
I don't remember him
Wait… that was Timothee Chalamet?
Who else laughed when the joker said me ?😂😂😂
why tf timothee cry about a bigger role with legends on the cast 🤦🏻
Imagine getting cast in a Christopher Nolan movie, something that most actors can only dream of, but then weeping for an hour because your part wasn't bigger. That's just narcissism.
