Wait. Tifa wasn't a default character.
Maybe NT is No Tifa.
Marshall Elder ...I didn't even think of that, but that's actually perfect.
And I got my own disappointment this year. Mario Tennis Aces. The gameplay is perfectly fine, but there's just.... nothing there. So now I need a hug.
+Marshall Elder What about the single player campaign?
Not a default character and based on released information, not a dlc character
Manuel Alberto Romero Lasted less than an afternoon, had no special cutscenes aside from the one in the trailers, and the story literally goes nowhere despite the setup. Spoiler alert: We never see anything come from Luigi being possessed. And the challenges range from laughably easy to a frustrating chore. Felt like a last minute addition and ultimately disappointing. Maybe worth $20. But not $60. Oh, and Bowser Jr is broken.
NT stands for "Not Trying"
Will they have Gabranth as a DLC?
Well, considering that this is a port of another game, not to mention the story is rather underwhelming as it is at the moment, maybe they will "actually try" for the next one? I have a feeling this game is a beta test for another game in the future
it's been 2 highly anticipated games now that square enix has half assed everything. i'm pretty sure anything final fantasy is dead. and after the release of kingdom hearts 3 , square enix overall is gonna die. i really don't like saying this but that's the way it's going now ....
What about the Final Fantasy VII(7) Remake?
Lori Taylor they're gonna fuck it up. I just know it
Dissidia: Never Touch
Dissidia Final Fantasy:
-No Thanks
-Not Today (Satan AKA Chaos)
-Nothing There
-Nobody's treasure
-NuT
Nothing Terrific :P
No Tifa
Not trying.
Also, you forgot to mention that the point of Dissidia's combat was to emulate the feel and speed of Advent Children's fight scenes [hence the grinding on rails and the mid-air dashes].
NT seems to have forgotten that.
Me: 911 what is your emergency?
Maverick: I need a hug
Me: Your hug is on the way.
Bowser Prince *insert virtual hug gif*
Oof. It always sucks when a game you love takes steps BACK and ends up ruining it. I'm sorry you had to go through with that.
The Ender Engineer cough Final Fantasy XIII cough
Was it that bad?
The Ender Engineer no it's not besides 13-2 fix a lot of problems also just don't play the game if u hate it that much
*sigh* Final Fantasy XV in my case. In case of Dissidia NT it's not really that the game takes step back it's just that it didn't target the same audience as the first ones.
Hey wasn’t expecting to see you here
Fun fact about the Battle on the Big Bridge remix, it’s taken from the mobile game, Record Keeper.
Minion of the East You mean A mobile game. There were others like All the Bravest.
I played record keeper when they did the big bridge event!
The thing is unlike Dissidia NT Record Keeper was very fun to play.....aside from crashesXD
Record Keeper has actually a lot of awesome remixes ever heard the Summoned Battle Theme from FFX, the Record Keeper version was just astonishingly good.
Yeah, I know:) It's a shame that it's only out on mobile devices:(
Maverick, I feel your pain about Dissidia NT, being a retired Summoner for League of Legends and a fan of Dissidia 012 made me really disappointed in this game. I only played it once at a friend's house, but man do I feel bad for my friend for buying it after hearing your review about it. Square Enix and Team Ninja really screwed up with making a gamble about this being the next Esport game and they should have at LEAST allowed customization for the Bravery and HP moves instead of rushing it and it was not worth it. At. ALL.
I would give you a hug if I could man, I really would.
*hearing Shantotto's voice in NT*
KILL MEEEEEEEEE
Moral of the story: never get too excited for any game ever. I, as well as likely many others, learned this with sonic forces.
Also, I think NT stands for “not to be played by casual fans” I know that’s more than two words, but it makes a lot of sense to me.
Faulty Videos even as a competitive game it fails...
Dissidia: The NT stands for "Never Touch"
You've grown so much, my dude. You make some of the best videos in the countdown corner of YT. Keep up the badass work :)
I can understand how disappointed you were for this game, and I was expecting it to be like the PSP games as well. Coming from my own bias perspective, after playing the game in Japan from the arcade machine, I still say I enjoy this game. True that the way this game was arranged for the console release wasn’t a right move, but I can still hope for more future Dissidia or a Final Fantasy fighting game of any sort. Still holding out for a Beatrix DLC character.
That thumbnail contains the saddest version of the black mage that i’ve ever seen. Good job, or should i say...
“Thanks! I hate it.”
I know NT means "New Tale", but I'd say Dissidia Newest Trash Final Fantasy is more fitting
It is amazing that Dissidia NT was so awful yet on the same day one of the best games ever came out for mobile of all things, Opera Omnia. Seriously if you love Dissidia play that.
Surely, though I don’t like the Grundy aspects.
Some games are bad some are disappointment.
The latter is worse believe me.
At the end Dissidia NT is a good online game but not for the single player gamer.
What a shame...
Thanks for the video
Maverick.
Have a nice day :)
I agree with that first statement.
Thanks for this review! I was on the fence about this game cause I really enjoyed the first dissidia and absolutely loved the second. But I was skeptical as soon as I saw gameplay from this because it didn't feel like Dissidia to me at all.
I'm glad you pointed out the level design in NT, I hadn't even thought of that but yeah Dissidia 012 had amazing levels. Now I wanna go play that game again.
Well Maverick, you just saved me from buying this game. I was also HYPED to play this game, and I would have definitely bought it at $25, but with this story progression, detrimental partner AI, the lack of customization, lack of EX, lack of 1-on-1 fights, I can safely say, YOU SAVED ME. Thank you, let's hope Square hears your criticisms and tries to make a proper sequel to this criminally underrated spin-off series.
I should mention you can actually fight 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 in lobbies, but people never mention that cause they got too triggered by the changes i guess :P
I dunno, that doesn't sound like it would salvage the stripped down combat. Besides, can you even do that offline or do you have to invite friends?
(sorry this is alot) Yeah you can, theres a sparring mode where you can set the conditions you want, 1 v 1 or even 1 v 3 against A.I. (which he didnt notice/didnt mention) And in a way the game actually gives you more tools compared to the other. because of their ap system, you could only have like 3 or 4 brave attacks and 2 hp attacks for some, but here you have 3 on the ground, and 3 in the air, plus dash attacks, so thats actually 2 more brave attacks than you could equip in the last game. I can see how only having 1 hp seems bad, but its something you can get used to, and Vaan can equip 2 if anyone really wants someone with more than 1. And dodging actually gives you some frame advantage now because everyones not so floaty. A lot of complaints in this review were really exaggerated sadly. Like the complaint about 3 v 3 being too much to handle, theres games where some teams have like 15 people on each side with long range guns and those are playable. Also he mentioned the loot boxes but failed to mention theres a shop you can buy whatever you want from with gil. Also didnt mention the A.I gets smarter as their rank goes up so they'll fight better. And you get items to advance the story faster than you need them. Take it from someone thats already done well over 1500 battles in the span of a month (and almost 100% the last 2 games) This review is looking at the game with nostalgia blinds and wishing it was an HD duodecim. It's also been popular in japan for years now before it got a western release so its not dying like people think. I loved the old dissidia games and spent over 240 hours on em, but their combat would NEVER work competitively, it was broken as hell when you actually look at it, and a lot of people didnt wanna play with personal customization online for that reason, they stuck to the imp armor set and basic accessories just to balance things a bit more. And square wanted a pvp focused experience this time, so unfortunately all that stuff had to go. I understand not liking changes, but saying they ''dont work'' because you didnt wanna try and get used to them isn't a fair judgement. And its a shame when people wont even try things at least because of perspectives like this.
princeofhalcyon thank you for calling this out, I was going to write down and call out everything he was over exaggerating, blatantly wrong about, or simply stuck on duodec.. but the entire video honestly is a letdown in any aspect of a proper game review. Even his points about plot, were pretty..off.
Yeah, this whole video is just being stuck in the past. I mean the game has been in arcade already for years, people could've easily seen what it was like before it came out here. '
looking back this is my favorite video of yours and it deserves way more views because dissidia is something you held close and with an entry like this I can only imagine... but I bet not only was this video hard to make because of the usual video process but also because you had to have courage to put this out there trust me I can relate in a way (minus the video part) to paper Mario because of sticker star
While it is heartbreaking to see the qualities that made Dissidia a very remarkable experience stripped away, I still kind of want to play the full game of NT for myself one day to see where I stand. Though I'm not going to pay full price for NT, that's for sure.
First off, I sadly don't think we're getting Tifa as a DLC character, especially since I'm pretty sure Dissidia NT's underwhelming sales means that Square has no reason they'll support the game any further and the hints at the 6 DLC characters for the season pass indicate that they'll only have 1 returning character be DLC, and the options are limited to Yuna and Prishe. So no Gilgamesh, Laguna, or Tifa. In fact, 1-7 aren't planned to have any DLC characters after Locke as the rest of the DLC characters they're doing are all from 8-15 with no one from any of the spin-off games, which means popular characters from those games like Minwu, Rydia, Celes, Aerith, Zemus, Leon, or Vincent will be used. We might get Vivi, Auron, Seymour, Balthier, Basch, or Sazh, and the next DLC character as of writing this is going to be a female character, but the fact that most of the characters people actually want to play as won't be able to because this game's sales were underwhelming is the issue
Second, I really wanted to like this game, I really did. But everything about this game just made me sad. The online mode isn't even that great. Your teammates will often be unreliable unless you're playing with friends, and the game works on a rock-paper-scissors type system where certain character types can beat certain other character types and some of the options you could have are clearly better than others. Cloud is clearly the best Vanguard option, Terra and Y'shtola are clearly the best Marksman options, Zidane is clearly the best Assassin option, and Ramza is clearly the best Specialist option. This means that there's no point in having a 1v1 mode because only 3 or 4 options are really that viable out of a roster of 20+ characters and certain character types beat out other character types. But even if you do the 3v3 option, it takes a long time just to find a match and there's plenty of lag to be had.
Third, for some reason, I actually only had a problem with two bosses, but those two bosses still irritated me when I had to fight them in story mode, that being Ramuh and Odin. That being said, others have complained about other bosses. I've heard complaints about Leviathan, Shiva, AND Bahamut. Surprisingly, Alexander and Ifrit aren't really considered, but they do also feel like the easiest to exploit. I found the best option is to let your AI Teammates throw themselves at the bosses, dodge the bosses attacks, and do one bravery attack when the bosses are open so that way you can build up Bravery for when they're able to be hit with an HP attack. Of course, that's a lot easier said than done.
At least we got Smash Bros Ultimate on the way, Mavvy :)
YEEAAAHHH BAABBYY!!!
Marshall Elder (In my Roger Daltrey voice) _YEEAAAHH!_
@@RooftopSwordMaster well youre kinda right
10:58 to avoid spoilers for the first two Dissidia games.
I feel Dissidia NT suffers from the same problem that Street Fighter V suffered from before Capcom decided to make video games properly again, which is that Square wanted to turn it into an Esport, while forgetting that games need to be complete games FIRST, and THEN they grow passionate communities. I picked this game up at launch, and I dropped it after two weeks. I just grew bored of the game, and the story mode was completely uninterested (albeit not without its moments. Like you said, the Ultimate Rap Battle between Shantotto and Ultimecia is hilarious, Terra and Kuja's scene is really cute and I low-key ship them now, and Bartz and Cloud's bromance is something I didn't know I wanted). It's gotten better, but I've only picked up the game a few times since launch.
Edit: Music's great as well. Not all of them (WTF happened to Seymour Battle?), but Decisive Battle, Dancing Mad, The Man With the Machine Gun, Something to Protect, The Darkness of Eternity, FFX's Battle Theme, and ALL of FFXII's themes are fantastic, and either come close to or surpass the originals.
I wonder if Dissidia would ever pull characters from other square titles. I'd like to see how the design team would redesign the characters from Bravely Default for example.
Also I'd love to see Ringabel interacting with the FF cast.
I hate to say it to you, but this was my favorite Dissidia game. I mean, people in Japan love it so much and I also love it. And it makes me sad that no one likes it except me. Just don't kill me for this.
To each their own, I guess.
And don't worry, you're fine.
I might like it too! It would be my first Dissidia!
FinalFantasyFan 012 they also for some reason liked digimon Tri. Do they just like their products in poor quality?
Nah you’re not the only one who’s loves it or likes to talk about it. There’s some discord communities who enjoy it too.
Feel free to check them out
Love or not. It's underperforming regardless.
NT is fun as hell, love this game. The original Dissidia with all the customization made the game unbalanced and broken. The developers said this game was meant for competitive play AKA esports. The game is about Team play, not Solo play. High Level tournament play for this game is hype, look it up. But the game is balanced around the class system and since it was originally an arcade game, every character have a set moveset which is fine since the game is about team play and coordinating with your teammates. If you don't have friends or a solid team then forget this game, its not fun playing solo. If you go into this expecting the PSP experience then you will be disappointed, but if you judge the game for what it is. Then you will have a good time playing this game, I can't put this game down with my brothers.
Ironic how I got a Wish ad before the gameplay section.
Out of curiosity, did you play that Opera Omnia app that ties in to NT? Only Dissidia game I’ve ever played, but man does the bravery system work so well in a turn-based setting.
Rest in peace BlackMage Maverick's Hopes and Dreams for Dissidia
So the message i got is, GIVE ME DISSIDIA AND DISSIDIA 012 ON PS4. I want them outside a Vita.
Also do you need a pichu plushie to cuddle, Maverick?
I give the Shiva BS slight credit since there have been iterations of her to split into two and also the nice touch that her song becomes a duet once it happens but otherwise that’s abour it.
Takeo Kujiraoka, Director: “There are some characters that have an extremely low amount of scenes in the story. This couldn’t be helped as they share relationships with characters that will be added through DLC later. Among them are some characters that will play key roles in the story''
You wanna hug? I do too...maybe Tifa wants a hug? Kitties? Idk I feel the same way about this game and just returned it yesterday.
Also NT? Maybe it means Never Try? Not Tolerable? No Talent? Idk that’s the best I got
Hi Maverick, I'd like to know which song plays in the transitions of your video "Top Ten Worst Final Fantasy Boss Battles (OUTDATED)" ...
Pleaaaaaaaaaase, I really want to know, I'm getting crazy aaa ;-;
Help me please? Someone?
It plays after Massive Explosion, early on ... and transitions.
Help Help ;x
No worries. It's "Fighting Fate" from Final Fantasy XIII.
Thank you
FFXIII is my favorite, how how did I not know? ;-;
The opponent could also actually defend themselves against an EX Burst by tapping the O button a certain level. This causes that opponent to take heavily reduced damage and make the EX Burst pretty much not worth it. That's the reason why whenever I was in EX Mode, I would just go ham on them using the special abilities being in EX Mode gives (Warrior of Lights "Light Swords" and Golbez's Black Fang being my favorite choices) which is also not in this game. A shame really.
I thought the majority of old dissidia players just banned ex skills and equipment customization online entirely because it could make you too broken. Everyone i saw and knew just used the imps armor set. No one used chase attacks either. The old games were fun as rpg's but against real people the problems seemed far too many. Since they wanted to focus this one on pvp theres no way they coulda kept everything they had before and still have a game people actually trying to be competitive would tolerate
What we really need is a remake of Dissidia 012, on Modern platforms with enhanced graphics and sound, but keep the gameplay and customization exactly the same as it was, just fit for a PlayStation controller instead of a PSP. Normally when it comes to fighting games, I would be upset if there was no split screen, but since the original PSP games didn't have split screen, I'd be fine with online only PVP.
Hey Mav I'm curious as to what you think of Dissidia Opera Omnia (assuming you've played it).
Totally agree with your gripes with the story, but the online gameplay is fine (so long as you don't get paired with bots). It looks like you could use some practice at defending and how to bait and switch opponents. Most of the things they stripped from the earlier Dissidia games were kinda necessary when they moved to 3v3. With that said, I do understand why a lot of people are bummed that there isn't any 1v1 online, but at the same time, it's difficult to balance a roster to work as a 3v3 AND 1v1 fighter (it'd be pretty much impossible).
Luckily for me, Dissidia NT was my first Dissidia game, thus I had literally no standards. So I was able to enjoy the game while Dissidia veterans panned it. I hope this game can somehow win back Dissidia fans, but I highly doubt it. Dissidia Arcade is still popular in Japan, and if NT had the content Dissidia fans wanted, it would be considered a superior version to its arcade counterpart. So in order to keep the arcade game prosperous, they have to make sure NT doesn’t offer more than the arcade version.
*Kupo*
Maverickhunterzero75: Hey weren't you in my top 15 racing games video?
What really broke me on this game was the way the DLC was handled. I actually enjoyed NT from a gameplay perspective, despite some of the missteps. But after getting the season pass and waiting for Vayne only to find his alternate costume wasn't included and that a weapons pack came out that was for to expensive for something that should've been included for free in a patch update like they are doing with some new stages. It was after Vayne was released that I gave up on the game, the slimy business practice really disheartened me.
Damn.
I'm sorry man.
I genuinely am.
I had a similar experience with Sonic Forces...or more accurately, with Infinite, since I never played Sonic Forces.
The guy had literally _everything_ going for him.
He had a cool design.
His theme song was awesome(and it actually related to his character, which is something we haven't seen sense Sonic 06, you know, _11_ years ago?).
He was properly hyped up.
HE WAS VOICED BY LIAM O'F***ING BRIEN!
And they did ABSOLUTELY _NOTHING_ WITH HIM.
*sigh*
So yeah. It may be slightly different experience, but I totally understand how you feel.
...dammit, now I need a hug.
A year late, but i offer that hug to you
I have to agree with you. While I like Dissidia NT for its gameplay and the fact that it brought Locke from Final Fantasy 6 into the game as DLC. I dont like how it went away from what I loved about the first two games... I hope that if Square Enix ever makes another Dissidia game, that they go back to the original style but with NT's graphics.
Do the original games have local multiplayer. Im thinking of getting them for the ps3
19:00 why couldn’t this have been a last man standing system. Like have the three life still their as a grace period but once those are used up the next time you die you stay down until all of one side falls.
Wait a second... I actually found out there is a "Bravery Point" meter for the bosses ... Its on the top right! ... WHY ISN'T IT UNDER THE BOSS' HEALTH BAR?
*Reads description*
Oh well this is gonna be an absolutely *positive* review here isn't it?
Pretty great review. I was thinking about maybe picking it up since it's going F2P now, but was cautious since I never liked how they limited the attack options. This finalized me not wanted to even bother with the game. A shame since I loved the first two so much.
what is going to be your NexT review?
While i wasn't hyped about the game i had hopes that NT would be a great game as the PSP versions of Dissidia and 012 did and oh boy it disapoints
yep im glad i got Dragon ball Fighter Z during the Steam Sale easily one of my most favorite CASUAL fighting games i have played i say casual cause how simple it is compared to something like Street fighter V or Blazeblue
and yikes so much for NT i seen this and i was like holy crap this is going to be good thanks for shining some light on this game Maverick looks like im sticking to Dissida 012 on the PPSSPP a lot longer then so many things wrong with going after the latest trends .....at least they did not do a 1 vs 99 battle royal i can just see how well THAT WOULD HAVE GONE ON LINE *shudders*
Well I can safely say that I am one of your subscribers that RUclips actually notified when this video came up, and I'm happy that was the case.
I've had an interest in Dissidia for sometime but was a little on the fence after the talk from you and some other people that this one didn't do so hot. Nice to see some detail as to how it dropped the ball without the review letting it's negative nature lead to overly high rage (seriously. not a fan of that kind of video style).
Already have done so. Just haven't played them yet because my backlog is quite large.
6:08 best line in the game.
what's the song at 25:48
I haven’t played any of the Dissidia games, but it seems to me that NT falls into the “decent standalone, bad sequel” category of games. Like here, the core gameplay seems pretty solid in a vacuum, if not fantastic. It’s only when you compare it to the previous two games that it starts to suck.
can I have a link to the theme at 12:50
Sorry this game didn't turn out well Maverick...I really am. This game looked like it was going to be great, and i even played the beta myself. but sadly, there was too many bad, and even mind boggling decisions to make this game worth getting.... Honestly, i think if they made 1v1 the main thing and kept 3v3 as an optional way to play, this game would have been much better in my opinion. Maybe you can make a video that describes how you would fix NT if you could
Again since it wasnt mentioned along with other things, 1 v 1 is possible, obviously its not balanced to have everyone great for it, but honestly the old dissidias were far from balanced to so..i guess that hasnt really changed :P
maybe, but 1v1 isn't the main thing, it's just a small side thing. idk if you can even use it in online mode.
You can, thats why im wondering why people never mention the lobbies. Seems like they give up as soon as they realize the game was meant for pvp in arcades and not a half rpg half arena fighter like the previous ones. Looking at this game just for single player is really gonna make anyone hate it. Ive played the hell out of all three games and a lot of complaints here were really exaggerated sadly. Story mode does indeed suck, (no one plays core battle, its not fun :P ) but the three on three complaint about not being able to do anything would be like saying you cant do anything in a shooter cause theres too many guys with guns. Some of those have like 15 people on each team and people can still use their awareness to play those. Also he mentioned the loot boxes but failed to mention you can buy anything you want in the shop with gil you earn. And you get the items to advance the story faster than you need them so its not a grind, also forgot to mention the A.I gets smarter as their rank goes up to so they aren't completely useless. Theres just a lot of bitterness in this review which im fine with, but he was making it sound like the game doesnt work because of the changes, being bad at changes doesnt mean they don't work, and it just seems like his emotions were holding him back from really trying to get into anything. (Sorry thats so long)
princeofhalcyon i don't blame him, he was so hyped for this game, and it was a really big let down for him...and he is the biggest dissidia fan i know. It's not really terrible, but i am with him, it doesn't feel like a dissidia game.
Im fine if people were disaapointed, i just wish itd be for the games own reasons and not because it wasn't like something else. I mean ff games change their style all the time but they all feel like final fantasy. 13 and lightning returns, 10 and 10-2. I will agree the story is absolute jank tho, they really shoulda just saved themselves time and not even bothered if it was gonna be that lazy. Just do an overwatch basically, make it clear the games fully multiplayer focused so people wouldn't come in expecting another rpg
I played the first two games and loved them so was expecting NT to be a similar experience. And I was left disappointed. My main problems are the fact you had to do 3 on 3 battles and if your AI partners (who be very useless at times) die too often. (and trust me they do a LOT) that's it, you've failed! And what's worse is the difficulty of the story fights, some of which are the highest difficulty in the game (don't even get me started on summon battles) it would have been better if the battles were one on one like in the older games and the difficulty wasn't so harsh in the story. Another problem I have is the way you progress through the story in which you have to collect Memoria (I think that's what its called) which you can only get in the online/offline modes. I also don't like the fact you only have one HP attack (apart from Vann who has two for some reason), no more EX mode (I loved using the EX burst). The graphics are impressive, music is nice and I did enjoy some of the combat. I just feel NT would have been better an online multiplayer game.
So shattotototo went from racheal to makoto? (Blazblue)
i actually made it through to the ending of the game because of my shear love for the series but after finishing the final boss....i just couldn't go back to it i feel your pain since i've been playing these games for such a long time and loved them to death that it hurt me to see it like this
I’ve actually fought all the summons & I’ve gotta say: if you thought Odin & Shiva were tough Alexander is on a whole ‘nother level.
Can you play offline? Just curious cause I never played it.
What about Opera Omnia? Thoughts on that game?
For you. Everything is your opinion. I am a fan of this game and you can watch my gameplay of NT to see how to actually play the game because the way I saw it you didn't play this game correctly. The thing i will give you credit for is that this game is definitely not for casuals which is bad but other then that just learn the game, do some research. You don't have to like the game its ok but dont say its a bad game overall. Please watch TrueBlade Seekers video and have a better perspective than just playing it, not learning it and judging it.
Actually, and correct me if I’m wrong here, the summons seem to become vulnerable when their bravery is completely depleted. At least from the footage you showed.
You'd think that'd be the case, but if you look at Shiva at 25:56, she becomes vulnerable to damage despite having over 2000 Bravery points left. It feels completely random.
Black Mage Maverick Ah, I see. Also, I just saw another video where a summon, despite their bravery being broken, was still fighting on no problem, so yeah. Definitely random.
Also wow, I was not expecting you to respond to this comment so soon. Lol
@@BenjaMage TRY THE FAKE FERAL CHAOS he can basically hit max bravery instantly and become freaking immortal, i have never beat him and i have 2 level 99 characters and i have never beaten him
Nice to see one of your videos again, could u do a video on your thoughts on Octopath Traveler, a game that is a call back to previous Square games like the old Final Fantasy games, Dragon Quest etc
I don't have a Switch yet, but I do intend on trying out Octopath Traveler once I have one, so I'll get back to you on that.
Black Mage Maverick, sounds good, I really like the designs of the characters
Also there is a level in Splatoon 2's Octo Expansion named after u, Maverick Station
Actually, Octopsth is more based on the Romancing SAGA games.
Paintamaster2000, a game done by Square is based off of work done by Sega... Actually I can kind of understand why, take work others made and make it your own, I think
I was kinda pumped for this game cause it'd be my first Dissidia game. I'm interested in playing the Dissidia games but I don't have a PSP or Vita (and I'm not going to buy one just for that). When I heard they're making something for the PS4, I was excited cause I liked fighting games like Persona 4 Arena and this reminded me of it. I never bought this one after seeing reviews, and I'm really disappointed that it's worse than I imagined. Ah well, it seems like everyone's wanting online multiplayer nowadays instead of good stories... but that's my opinion.
NT = New Testament? That's all I can think of... XD
Same... hope they at least consider porting the previous 2 installments.
Do you have BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle and is your main team Blake and Hazama?
Well, at least it gave you your intro theme.
That must count for somethin', right?
Right?
Is it possible to get Dissidia Duodecim for the PS3?
It was only available on PSP (and by extension, PSVita). There might be some way to do so with some feature on the PS3 (never owned a PS3 myself, so I don't know everything it's capable of), but the game never got a PS3 release.
Almost a year after this was posted, Tifa's in, but it's too late. What's done is done.
Question. Is catana mortis and good in fire in this game
I don't remember if the original is in the game, but I know a few remixes of it are.
Actually Maverick, the loot boxes mechanism might probably be the way it is in this game because of Japan's regulation laws towards the mechanic.
Guess Cup Noodle isn't going to rake a lot in since there's codes to unlock character skins for everyone you buy.
Ooof, never played it but I can tell by that thumbnail this is gonna be rough
Despite receiving overall decent to positive critical reception, the game sold poorly according to the developers. They hoped that the updates from 2018-2019 would produce good sales, but when that failed, the game was essentially abandoned.
Materia shares her name with the Lifestream-made stones from VII. It's a wonder Cloud doesn't even react.
As a fan of Dissidia, someone who bought the collectors edition, and someone who learning of it and that it was 3v3 late, I wasn't comparing it to the others... even if it was set on the same world with most of the same characters... with how different it is I was judging it on its own...
My complaints? Day one the Circle Button was the Jump Button and the vise-versa and the Summon Boss Battles is a Gauntlet Mode....
Small jokes I made playing it... Spiritus looks like a buff version of Ansem's Heartless (Kingdom Hearts) with makeup, the new 'Cosmos' looks like she's getting a bit into steampunk, Kuja has a rival for the "Man with the most Girly Hips" thanks to Ramza, and my first thoughts when seeing Shinryu's second phase: Oh Goodie! He's ALL the summons in ONE PACKAGE! Because ONE wasn't enough!
Still like playing it, though.
also at 10:18 to 10:21 is that the game bugging out? How did that get past testing?
You mean the black pixel effect? No, that's intentional.
Looks like the game bugging out
Dissidia NT probably stands for "Not Telling"
Well, there's nothing really wrong with random lootboxes as long as it's all in-game. A random element can be exciting in this scenario, it's just that when charging for them, it becomes easily manipulative.
Hey Maverick. Somewhat of an old fan here and know you better for the Dissidia you did back then. I was thinking of them and see that none of your old Dissidia videos are in your channel nor in the search engine. As an old fan who hasn't been up to date, what happened to those videos?
So a few years back, I made the dumb decision of deleting all my pre-2013 videos, thinking no one watched them anymore.
Needless to say, I quickly learned that I was very wrong about that.
@@BenjaMage I see, a shame really. Oh well, I did enjoy them while they were up, especially your crossover listing the top 20-ish characters lol. Well maybe if you wanna travel to 012 again some lore videos would be interesting to see.
I thought NT stand for Never Try or Now Tifa also Maverick what was the original Dissidia like
Here's what I found out:
Kain actually appears in the story, and discusses the battle with Shinryu with Cloud, Squall, and Noctis.
Golbez actually makes another appearance in the story, talking with another one of the DLC characters, Kam'lanaut from FFXI.
So they actually added scenes for Kain and Golbez. Colour me surprised.
@@BenjaMage There was even one for Locke, Rinoa, and Yuna. Not sure about Snow, though...
@@BenjaMage Oh, wait, I saw the cutscene for Snow on RUclips.
And get this: Squall and Lightning fight him WHILE Terra and Zidane are searching for Ramuh.
Maybe you could do a Let's Play on one of the previous Dissidia games at some point
I'm guessing Network; especially if it's focusing a Esports PvP gameplay.
Poor Noctis can't catch a break. First his game goes through development hell times 4, releasing only halfway done, he doesn't get a happy ending, everyone is dead by the time he ends things, and now he gets stuck with this. The kid can't catch a break!
I had a similar experience when I came back to League of Legends after a long hiatus eager to pick things back up (after sitting through hours of update, but I digress) I picked my old main Sion went into a VS. AI match to buff out the rust and then I find out that absolutely nothing of the Original character remained his voice was different his dialogue was different none of his abilities where intact and the character was altogether murdered and this mutilated carcass piloted by some kind of parasite had taken his place in the roster, I have never been more depressed by a game than I was that day and I have played through Nier for crying out loud!!!!!!
I love Dissidia NT!
I feel ur pain it was my first dissidia cause I didn't own a psp and I was so hyped for this and I'm still playing bit it feels like u said draining when u kill 2 people but ur friends die
6:08 - Seems you could relate to that in your time playing.
12:50 funny enough this came out in FFRK 2 years ago and I still love it
Yeah, I somehow forgot it was in Record Keeper first when I was making this video. My bad. XD
Black Mage Maverick no worries lol. That event it was for is still one of my favorites
Did you try the mobile version of Dissidia?
He’s lucky he never had to fight Leviathan
Man I wish to play original disidia but arent they on that handheld ps?
Yes
NT means No Touchy
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I really loved the Summon boss fights, and the hard gauntlet fights against them in a row.
5:44, you say insult fight, I say roasting match.
Regardless of name, it was beautiful.
Black Mage Maverick , ture, my brother was thinking about getting this game..... He's starting to rethink that decision 😅
