@@danwright5592 Hi....I love mine!. It is what the Picanto has needed. So much more powerful. I wouldn't say it is a GT but the difference in pulling power is excellent.
The brakes are very light touch and take a while to get used to. Go for the auto box which is excellent and is only 1mpg down on the manual (37/38mpg). The ride will improve when the tyres wear out and you replace them with General Altimax Sport.
I had the last shape Picanto and the only thing that let it down was poor suspension. Too firm and made a clonking sound over potholes and bumps. Got it looked at by dealer but they said nothing wrong. Hmmm. Ive had a couple of three cylinder engines including those with turbos but im starting to prefer the NA four cylinder engines for more linear and smoother power delivery, and from what ive read on many car video comments, plenty other people feel the same. You get less torque without a turbo but lets be honest, a 99bhp turbo car isnt going to be fast and will make you wish you had got a 2 litre turbo instead if you want something quick. For normal driving though, you really are better off without the turbo on a small hatch. Better economy and the engine will last a lot longer.

What about Kia's policy that they dont supply parts for their cars after 20 years. That means no parts for any 1998 Kia's. COME TO THINK OF IT I HAVE SEEN ONE 20 YEARS OLD.
Our Trajet is 14 years old and passed its MOT yesterday with no advisaries. Only problems are the front suspension top mounts which need replacing every 3 years and the battery which only lasted 12 years!
Don't talk bullshit at my ears that car is slower than A slug and it cannot clime a hill without stopping an putting it in 2 or 1 cause 3 an d. Don't work! And it stuggles in rain! !!!

Have you had a chance to drive the 1.0 turbo as a comparison? Very interested in one of these and is such a great looking little car.

The 1.25 is a good engine. More power than the 1.0, which is always handy! Gearbox is really good in either.

Bring that shitty car to Jamaica it won't last 1 day or 12 hrs
