Hi Mitch, loving the content your putting out, it's great help for people just starting up.
Thank you very much! I’m glad it’s helping ⛳️
Great Video. All spot on!
Thanks mate 👍🏼⛳️
Hi Mitch been watching your channel from when you first made a hitting net outside and been wanting to do my own. Finally I have a garage but it’s around same as yours at 7ft 8” in height. I’m not tall so I can swing a 6 iron maybe a 5 iron but I need to move a support beam over. I’m hoping to put some videos on my channel and hope to use the garmin r10 as it’s such a good price for me. Keep up good work
Ah mate thanks for the support! Best of luck with your build pal, it sounds like it will be a good one! ⛳️
Do you have a video that helps set up the wiring for a golf simulator?
What cables go where? I be grateful for any assistance
Great info and perfect timing. I'm doing a house renovation and trying to build a golf simulator within a home gym room. The room is about 6m by 4.5m but I will aim to have the golf simulator at one side so in a space of about 3.3m wide and 4.5m long. Only built for right handed players and there will be no wall behind the player to allow a free swing. Should this be ok?
Also, on a separate note, have you come across any retractable impact screens that are worth considering?
Thanks mate. If you’re only using it for right handed players then you should have no problem with that size! I don’t know much about retractable screens I’m sorry, I’ve seen people use them and they work well for their individual setups. But I can’t really provide much info for you unfortunately. Good luck with the build 🙌🏼⛳️
Retractable impact screens look great but I think they're very pricey. I'm looking to build a horizontal retraction system i.e. a net/screen on a curtain rail! Something like this: ruclips.net/video/SXRvIlkQ_mY/видео.html
Good info here. Question - Is a 16:9 or 16:10 screen proportion the optimum?
It doesn’t particularly matter, just whatever fits your room size best. If I had the choice, I’d probably choose 16:10 👍🏼⛳️
Really informative video there. Getting rid of that Man Utd football on left could free up some space in your setup
Had a decent start to the season have we? 👀 Enjoy your Thursday nights this season 😂😂
So a room that is 12 ft high, by 18 ft width, and 36 ft deep would do very well??? Have room for a counter with stools and etc...Thanks..
That sounds like it would work well!
Actually, I would have love to have known what is the smallest size room you could use full clubs. I can accomodate a 8x8 ft impact screen in my garage, but i have plenty of ceiling space and side space. Is an 8x8 ft screen large enough for a simulator?
I have a video coming out hopefully next Sunday explaining about minimum room size mate! 8x8 screen is bigger than mine you'll be fine with that size - it just depends on how tall and wide your room is to determine if you can swing all your clubs or not
Hi guys, Can you go 3m width and swing comfortably?
You’d be hitting from an off-centre position into your screen but it can be done 👍🏼⛳️
What system should I buy for a 12 x 16 feet room with a 10 feet ceiling ?
You should have the pick of the bunch as you seem to have enough space for radar and camera based launch monitors 👍🏼⛳️
Interesting video!
My room is 7m long, 4m high but only 3 m wide.
Would it be possible for me (187cm) to play my driver in that space?
The only way to find out is to swing your driver in that space! Or be safer and swing an alignment stick. You would definitely be offset to one side a little.
My room depth is 4.5m (14.75 feet). Im 6'1 and need 6.5 feet from back wall to swing driver. With impact screen 1 foot from wall, this leaves me 7.25 feet to impact screen. Is 7.25 ft hitting distance to screen manageable?
Yes, but you will need a photometric launch monitor such as SkyTrak or GC3. You won’t have enough space to use a radar launch monitor 👍🏼⛳️
If I have 18 feet (5.5 meters), would I still be able to fit a sofa or chairs back there? Or should I make the room that full 6 meters? I can do it, but I'd have to lose space in the other room that it will be touching.
You can do it. I’d personally have the fill 6m because your swing may feel a little cramped. But you can do it 👍🏼⛳️
@@hcpgolf I appreciate your response! I'm going to expand it to somewhere between 20-22 feet (6-6.7m). I did some measuring yesterday after I commented and understood what you meant.
Mitch. If those guys built Rick’s can you possibly find out where I can get those fake windows from his? I really want to have them for mine.
I’ll ask the question mate 👍🏼⛳️
@@hcpgolf that would be awesome! 🙏🏻
I have a 10 ft width room, is that wide enough to swing a driver
It depends how wide your golf swing is. I imagine you’d be ok but you wouldn’t be hitting from the centre of your room and into the centre of your screen 👍🏼⛳️
Is 9 feet in height by 14 feet in width good for a driver swing?
Everyone’s swing is different but that amount of space sounds like you’ll be ok. You might be a little offset to one side but it should work fine 👍🏼⛳️
11ft wide by 12ft deep would that work ?
It’s pretty tight! As long as you can swing a club comfortably it will work if you get a camera based launch monitor 👍🏼⛳️
Did you mention what size this room was in the video? what size is the screen? and room?
This room is 3m high, 4.5m wide and over 6m deep 👍🏼
Unfortunately, there were 50 free golf simulator guide books but they've all been given away. You now need to pay 10 pounds. In case you are thinking about signing up.
Move to Thailand and build one outside.
That’s more tempting than you know 🤣⛳️
