That was how I too got to find my voice crack when I was having my yodelling coach 12 years back... Now I'm a boy of 21 from India. To everybody's amazement my pitch is very high. My scale does not match with that of boys who'd actually have deep and harsh bass tone. D B is the scale now where I could find the start of my voice crack... Originally, F D was the scale 12 years back I hit the nail... Loved this video.. Look forward to seeing more of frabjous videos!!

Beth, I love yodelilng. Although, I've told my son that I can only yodel from E to A range. He says you can yodel anywhere. But, I seem to only have my break there. Meanwhile, I had a friend who could harmonize her yodels with me and could do them all over the place. So, can a person have numerous break points in their voice?
Hey there! First of all, thank you for being here! As far as a break in the voice..I've never counted but I think I have several places on any given song where my voice can break when I yodel. Usually there's one place it sounds the best. I try to find the best key for the song I'm singing, and stick with that. If you notice on my Yodel Vocal Warmup videos, I drop into a lower octave when the key gets too high for me. I like this lesson because there is so much information about smoothing over the crack or passagio, but the crack is a vocal technique, like Chris Issak, in wicked game, and Jewel yodel's all over the place.,.Beth do you think one can have a crack in different registers of the voice? or is generally one place?
Hi Troy! Thanks for checking out the video and glad you enjoyed it. I know for my voice, it breaks in a few different keys. Once it gets too high, my voice automatically has to go into the higher pitch to hit the note. I guess just practice in different keys until you find the "sweet spot" - where it feels most comforable to sing! Hope that helps!
Squishy - I didn't know how to answer that so I googled and found this " The chest voice is the range of notes at the bottom of your voice. And head voice is the range of notes at the top." and this from Sweetwater music "Full voice is your real voice, your natural resonant speaking tone. Falsetto is that false sound we can make." damn. im a baritone and i have lost my head voice by torturing it. im 15 btw F# is where there is no sound but air coming and if i get to head voice it sounds like torturing a pig

Hey Jenny! Have you been able to find the crack yet? I think maybe you left a comment somewere else saying you're finding it? If not, I'm thinking working with the Yodel Vocal Warmups is the best way to find where your voice breaks. If that doesn't work, then maybe try doing the regular vocal lessons with me and you should be able to find the break
