- Today I'm showing you an easy way to install a leveling kit on my 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD Offroad Limited with basic hand tools. This kit provides 1.75" of Lift up front which got my truck to sit level with the rear which should allow me to run a 35" tire with no rubbing issues.

Did you check that the shock doesn't bottom out? Did you need to add spacers on the bump stops? Great video.
Making it look easy, good idea dropping the control arm
Thanks for watching. It's how I prefer to pull the shock!
Can fit 35" inch tires with this leveling kit? Also does it work with the air ride suspension? Thanks
What size tires come stock on the truck?
Do you have the oem torque specs by chance?
Where do you find the OEM torque specs?
This void the Toyota warranty?
If you wanted to take the leveling kit off, you think you’d still have enough bolt to screw the nut back on to it?
I have the same question
Hi. Why should I buy that product at $160 vs the one sold on Amazon for $41?
Thanks!
The $40 2" spacer on amazon didnt work for my 22 Platinum. The hole for the top hat was too small and didnt fit flat on there. You could open it up with a grinding stone or something but I just sent it back and installed the RC kit instead (I had both on hand hoping the $40 one would work).
@@eddiefromcali Thanks for the info Sir.
@@eddiefromcali how is the ride quality in platinum after the lift?
@@tankconquerer5428 it's a bit firmer but it felt way too soft stock. The rear did get a bit stiff when I adjusted the air bag lever though. Rides nice and smooth in "Comfort" mode and that's where I've been keeping it for the most part.
@@eddiefromcali same here, i always drive in the comfort mode, the only thing im afraid of is the giving away any comfort to be honest. still now sure how im gonna do it :(
I ordered this kit and ended up receiving a Composite material product, what is the pros and cons of using composite material instead of steel ?
I did as well have you installed it yet ?
Any update on the composite material? I’m about to order the kit now.
@@Hoonigan_Honda94 I lied I got the metal one so they gave me a different one from the picture
@@robbykelley7131 oh okay I just ordered them 2 min ago from rough country’s Amazon account. How do you like them?
I ordered the same, composite one is a new design. With this new design you no longer need to cut the bolts.
Just do it without loosening those control arm bolts. Will save you an alignment. Get a long pry bar and push it down
So your saying you won’t need a Alingment if you do that. But what about the increased hight? It doesn’t affect the geometry?
Yeah you might be right about that. If I’m imagining it right , the upper and lower control arm style suspension allows for a more constant vertical position throughout the movement of the wheel up and down. It’s possible it’ll be fine. Suppose if you don’t get alignment you could just closely monitor the tire wear and get one if it shows any unevenness.
