    Excellent instructions. Believe that the chunky yarn and large hook make it easier to learn the stitch. I used 4 ply yarn with an I hook and got frustrated. Ordered my yarn and am going to try it again. Thanks.

    I just love all your stuff and so appreciate the videos. Can you or anyone here tell me why you’d use a wool that can’t be washed in the machine-only hand washed- for a beautiful blanket like this? Only a question, not ANY disrespect. Am I missing something?

    • @mjsoffthehook
      @mjsoffthehook  2 года назад +2

      I don't wash my wool blankets. They’re more of a display statement piece. I just prefer the look. If you plan on using them so they need to be washed, choose a washable yarn. It's just a personal preference thing.

    Hello MJ.. praying to find you well. I've made 2 of these beautiful feet blankets so far... how would i convert this to a baby blanket using a 6.5mm hook and premier parfait chunky for the yarn? How many chains or multiples? Its for my aunts daughter-in-law..I'm also making a matching toddler blanket for big sister who is 4.. can you please help. Thank you for all you do and for sharing your God given gift with the world. Blessings to you❤

      @samanthaotto6543 2 года назад +1

      Hi. I’m currently making this blanket but I’m using an 8mm hook with red heart comfort. From what I’ve seen, there is no multiples. I chained 130 to make a decent lap blanket but you could try 100 for baby and 115 or 120 for a toddler size. I’d definitely do a few test rows to see if it’s a good size. Hope this is a little help

    Okay... I'm one third of the way through this video, and am now officially slydexic! lol.
    Truth be known, I can get backwards on a Butterick or a Simplicity pattern while sewing, and forget me ever trying to read a crochet pattern! I'll have to just turn off the words and watch the video "monkey see, monkey do" style.
    I'm a keen observer, but whenever descriptive words do not match exactly what is being done, like, if you're explaining something and you've gone on to something else with your hands for the moment, and you're still explaining something that was said or done already, I get disconnected and discombobulated.
    Yep. This bassackwards row of stitchin's gonna take some gittin' used to.... I just gotta work up some muscle memory for it. I wonder how many times I'm gonna hafta frog?
