This is beautiful. I have been crocheting for 50 years and think I would get confused with this pattern. You are great.
Thank you for this tutorial with the bigger hook...it makes it much easier to understand which bumps to use!
Just got started on this. Using different wool as yours wasnt available here in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. Its looking really nice. Thank you for excellent tutorial.
This is the first time I've been excited to make something in months! What a cool stitch, thank you for teaching it!!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful crochet blanket tutorial. ! You are a wonderful crochet Teacher. ! 😊💗
Excellent instructions. Believe that the chunky yarn and large hook make it easier to learn the stitch. I used 4 ply yarn with an I hook and got frustrated. Ordered my yarn and am going to try it again. Thanks.
This is such a beautiful stitch. Your instructions are clear and easy to understand. I found you through TikTok. Thank you very much.
Thank you for making this tutorial easy to understand. Started a pillow cover today and it’s looking great! ❤

Thank you so much, I have got to make a blanket using this stitch. marvellous. Thank you.
I so want to make a scarf with this stitch and this yarn!

Bellísima manta, excelente explicación, muchas gracias desde Tenerife, España 😘
Foarte frumos , Ești minunată .
💐
I love this. Thanks for your detailed video!
I’m working on a blanket right now using 15mm hook and yours looks a lot bigger. To me it’s more like 20-25mm. Correct me if I’m wrong ☺️. I love the tutorial! Thank you! That would be my next blanket 🤩🌹
Qué Maravilla, es Precioso 💖 💖 💖 Y super bien explicado. Muchas gracias !!!
Beautiful
Love it!

I love this stitch!!! ❤❤❤
Do you have a tutorial using dc herringbone stitch?
This is such a beautiful pattern with beautiful yarn! I am wanting to create a baby blanket with this pattern but only bought 720 yards of yarn. How many stitches do I need to begin with? Or what are the multiples to start with?
Beautiful!!!!!!!!
So beautiful !!
I was just talking about the sc herringbone! Thank you for the tute!
Very pretty MJ!
Gorgeous 😍😍
Beautiful throw but the stitch pattern is very hard to understand and I am not a beginner ! I am going to try it though, who knows I might can get it ! 😊⚘😊
Got it ! Thanks !
Aww
I want that Hook🥰
It's at Walmart but it's currently Out of Stock.
Luv it!!
$140 worth of yarn 😢
Great tutorial….thank you. Btw, luv your watch band! Curious as to where you got it? Also, I made 3 of the crochet pumpkins from your video …super fun & everyone loves them. Now, maybe on to this blanket for the holidays! 🥰
The watchband is from Victoria Emerson! Love it!

I just love all your stuff and so appreciate the videos. Can you or anyone here tell me why you’d use a wool that can’t be washed in the machine-only hand washed- for a beautiful blanket like this? Only a question, not ANY disrespect. Am I missing something?
I don't wash my wool blankets. They’re more of a display statement piece. I just prefer the look. If you plan on using them so they need to be washed, choose a washable yarn. It's just a personal preference thing.
Thank you!
Beautiful blanket! Im curious how that type of yarn looks like after washing?
Me too
I don't wash my wool blankets. If you need to wash them use a wool wash. If you plan on using this blanket so it needs frequent washing, use a different yarn.
Would James C. Brett Huggable be a good substitue yarn?
Hello MJ.. praying to find you well. I've made 2 of these beautiful feet blankets so far... how would i convert this to a baby blanket using a 6.5mm hook and premier parfait chunky for the yarn? How many chains or multiples? Its for my aunts daughter-in-law..I'm also making a matching toddler blanket for big sister who is 4.. can you please help. Thank you for all you do and for sharing your God given gift with the world. Blessings to you❤
Hi. I’m currently making this blanket but I’m using an 8mm hook with red heart comfort. From what I’ve seen, there is no multiples. I chained 130 to make a decent lap blanket but you could try 100 for baby and 115 or 120 for a toddler size. I’d definitely do a few test rows to see if it’s a good size. Hope this is a little help
@@samanthaotto6543 So i can add more chains by even numbers as well, i can also add more chains by odd numbers too and no need any pluses? So i can make 500 loop length and i dun need at add any pluses?
How many ounces are in the skein?
If I wanted to make this a 72 x 35 how many single chains would that be?
Is We Crochet the same company as Knit Picks?
Yes
@daisy farm crafts. Nice stitch uhh
Tiffany saw my tutorial on TikTok and was excited to learn this stitch.
Can i use a different type of yarn doing this blanket?
If I wanted to make it longer, do I do an odd number of chains?? Lovely blanket
You can increase in even or odd numbers. Thanks!
@@mjsoffthehook thank you so much
Hi, if I was crocheting this stitch in the round, would I do RS every row or still alternate RS/WS?
Thank you so much for this!!
To get the ‘herringbone look’ you would need to turn rounds so you have a RS and WS.
@@mjsoffthehook heosos tus proyectos!!! Nuevamente agradecida x el subtitulo en español y varios idiomas!!!👏👏👏👏abrazos desde Argentinaaa🇦🇷🇦🇷❤
The link for the crochet hook is no longer available is there any other place i can buy the crochet hook like your pink one.
I have tried 5 times and the second row when I am done only has 50-55. What am I doing wrong. I keep watching RUclips video over and over. Any help please?
This is beautiful. What size hook would you use for worsted weight yarn x 3 strands x
Same size hook
Hi! What yarn join method do you recommend for when the yarn ends?
Beautiful! Would this work as well with a different weight yarn? Like a 4 for example...
Yes, any weight yarn can be used for this stitch. Just use a smaller hook and make the blanket a lot bigger.
@@mjsoffthehook thank you!
How can I make this stitch on a circular career?
Thank you MJ
Is this for a size -full bed?
It's shown on my King Size bed
@@mjsoffthehook
Ty mine is king size also..
Nice Christmas presents for my children.. Thank You for Sharing 💕
How many skeins of yarn does this blanket require?
You can find all the details in the description box
What kind of yarn is that?
Is this yarn much bulkier than Bernat blanket yarn? I’m thinking of substituting.
It is a little thicker but I would give Bernat a try.
what is this stitch called? 😳😳😳😳
Herringbone single crochet
Thank you it’s absolutely gorgeous!!
Uh no. Too complicated for me.
this is very confusing....
Could you go a little slower please
You can slow the video down by going to settings and changing the playback speed.
Okay... I'm one third of the way through this video, and am now officially slydexic! lol.
Truth be known, I can get backwards on a Butterick or a Simplicity pattern while sewing, and forget me ever trying to read a crochet pattern! I'll have to just turn off the words and watch the video "monkey see, monkey do" style.
I'm a keen observer, but whenever descriptive words do not match exactly what is being done, like, if you're explaining something and you've gone on to something else with your hands for the moment, and you're still explaining something that was said or done already, I get disconnected and discombobulated.
Yep. This bassackwards row of stitchin's gonna take some gittin' used to.... I just gotta work up some muscle memory for it. I wonder how many times I'm gonna hafta frog?
Beautiful
