- Did you know you can meet Santa in his official home in Lapland, Finland any day of the year? You don’t have to wait until Christmas Eve! Rovaniemi, Finland is his official hometown. In this video, we visit Santa Claus and his reindeer, cross the official line of the Arctic Circle, and see his official post office where letters addressed to Santa from all over the world are delivered. It’s a super fun place to visit and feel like a kid! Marc and I wanted to make sure we were on the nice list ahead of Christmas. Santa told us we wouldn’t have gotten in if we were on the naughty list because he doesn’t waste time on them ;)

I remember when we went to Rovaniemi to see Santa Clause there was this little girl in the line after us. She sat on his lap and when Santa asked her something in english she didn't understand and looked at her mom questioningly and her mom said her something I didn't understand. But then Santa realised (ofc he did!) they spoke Italian (at least I think it was Italian) and started speaking Italian with the little girl! And then they chatted for a while in Italian and the kid's mother started to cry like she really didn't expect that! That must have been the most amazing experience for the kid!

I love watching you enjoy your visit to Santa's village! You remind us that we're never too old to enjoy Santa, and everything that comes with Christmas. I just wish we could play with the reindeer, too! I really love their furry noses, which are probably most useful in a snowy climate. Your video has made preparing the holidays even more joyful. He is Santa Claus for tourists, for Finns he is Joulupukki (Yule bock). In the pagan age, the bock character participated end of the year festival, Kekri. They had similar traditions in the pagan Baltic and Slavic countries, also with actual white goat rather than a man dressed as a bock. In Finland the character was dressed in a fur, horns and tail, and still today proper Joulupukki wears furs instead of that Coca Cola red cloth outfit. Loved this video! It's so cool that you got to meet Santa, especially in the Arctic Circle. Those reindeer looked so chill. Their noses were so cute when they were eating.

oh, i have been watching santa live when its cristmas in finland! outside its noramlly snowier than you could expect, some people overthink amount of the snow, but still alot :D
oh and if you dont mind, i get to sleep to get energy for watching 5 hours staight a celebration in a castle, i dont know what to call it but in finnish, "linnanjuhlat".

haha it's a prettttty cool place to send mail from, I have to say. And extra neat that you can send a letter anytime of year and it will arrive just before Christmas. Very unique. We had so much fun being kids this day. I guess you can tell how much Marc and I love Christmas :)
