STEEZ deserves better than this. He started ProEra which was taken over by Joeys mother... and now 2 years after his death people are still holding unreleased shit trying to make money! Makes me sick to see his message treated like this -_-
marentes133 Joey and Steez were brothers, It's really sad (as STEEZ is my fav artist) that his past demons and his lack of mainstream success caused him to kill himself, but It's not joey's fault. All he can do is wait to release his shit at the best time and get his message to everyone.
marentes133 Alot of people ain't ready for Steez that's why p.e wants to expand their fan base so they can release King Capital so Steez can get the respect he deserves.
SMTH has nothing on Steez's intellectual and spiritual knowledge, flow, style and the messages he is trying to deliver... Steez is an charasmatic old soul looking for serious change in the world - Last Straw does steez no justice paring him with a rapper not close to the same level... His family should respect the profit he was and not try make his profit. RIP Steez.
No one could out flame steez on the mic in my own opinion.SMTH is a different spitter, he killed it though. Good ass song. Stop hating and trying to label who better, enjoy the last straw.

This is such a diss to Pro Era. just listen starting @2:46 . Steelo's saying that he's tired of PE's bs and how he isnt getting the credit he deserves. He said that this was the last straw, and that line may have been him hinting to his "suicide". He later says something about going A-wall which to me basically meant that he was thinking of leaving Pro Era and going solo. Maybe thats why he said fuck world domination... holy shit...
at 3:11 when he says he stands ready to go solo and slide into first with a louisville slugger i think he was actually saying that he was planning to leave pro era and achieve world domination by himself with his legendary album (King Capital, which would be represented by the louisville slugger in this case)
Maybe this is why pro era has been delaying the album, the possibly dont want it coming out or theyre trying to filter every real thing he said in its tracks
Dude YOU MUST RELEASE that video of STEEZ at the end. Too many people are keeping unreleased STEEZ footage private man Edit (4 years later): You dont owe us anything, how dare i tell u what to do, it was selfish. We as fans would love it though.

i almost dont like what they did with the video during steez's verse.. I like the idea of people bumping it out their boomboxs/speakers n shit but that verse was meant to be serious, like "im puttin my foot down" kinda shit. N you got dudes playin frisbee and breakdancing smiling n shit. Idk it's probably just me but good looks on the track
***** You think free the robots video was upbeat? And it's really not wrong if you listen to what he's actually saying in this song. This verse has NOTHING to do with anything positive, he's calling people out and talking about how real lyricism and subject matter is phased out, how he's not getting the recognition he deserves. Just because someone likes things like that doesn't mean it's appropriate for every single video they make. Besides, you are talking about 1 clip, I didn't say i disagreed with the whole video, but be real this was not a verse for that kind of shit. Rappers have more than just 1 side you know
TheRapVault man that’s exactly how I feel. you can tell steez was in a delirious and angry state. this isn’t what he usually raps about, ironic his last verse was called “last straw” smh long live steez
+milo utu (TheMZA911XO) Fuck these niggas sayin "wake up" and all that, they only say that because they dont know the message. His message is balance and he wanted everybody to see everything from objective viewpoint. Live mediocre and spread love and happiness.
***** "Budderscotch" n a few others dont have PE. But yea I feel you, I think he was just trying to branch out on his solo tip to get more exposure rather than just another member of this group. Cuz he was still releasing music with them when he died
saw joey perform a few days ago. he still played infinity and beyond and in a packed out club held a 2 minute silence for steez... he still shows love to his brother
Pro Era is dead without Steez and Seccs Tape 2 is a perfect example, the whole movement was for Steez to get his message out and show society the other side so i don't see the point in carrying on the Pro Era legacy if nobody in the group can even begin to anticipate the idea's Steez had.
Eye think you're being unrealistic after steez passed pe fell out of balance, like what would wu tang be without rza or OF without tyler. Everything in life is about energy and when steez left the synchronism wasn't the same
Yeah once STEEZ passed I feel like Pro Era as a collective and group lost direction and Real unity outside of a few acts like Joey,Kirk, and occasionally Nyck Caution
It's sad that all these random ass people who don't even know Steelo or pro era in person, are saying steez was dissing & that its pro era or joeys fault that steez died. thats some dumb ass fan rumor shit. Steez expressed how much he loved his pros and the movement countless times. He can't blame the pros jus cause fans took more notice too Joey. Thats life, Steez would have eventually got more publicity easy just because of his ability alone, it just takes time. The more people argue and debate about rumors and theories on Steez and shit they don't know anything about, the less rest Steez can get in peace.
I also find it weird pro era aint doing anything for steez. When steez died joey was on radio and talked about steez for 10 seconds then went on to his freestyle. It's almost as if things are the way pro era wants it to be, steez is gone and they dont have to be on that amerikkkan koruption shit. Pro era doesn't use 47 the way steez did, it's just a number to pro era that they can repeat over and over so you think of steez. Kinda pisses me off but at least we here LOVE steez and his art truely...
marentes133 maybe youre right. but they still make good music at the end of the day. so instead of letting it get to your head, just enjoy the good music that steez and pro era provides
kiltdatnikkah ofc bc dirty sanchez was his bro no matter what out of all the recent interviews with pro era I only seem to see sanchez holding it down for steez
If he was talking about Joey this is probably why he ain't been thinking about making a posthumous album for him! Since he now beyond the grave dissed Joey
Seems to me about 80% of Capital STEEZ's verse was mainly aimed towards Joey getting all the recognition from the Pro's and how nobody else especially himself (STEEZ) gettin put on like how Joey was, and still is. STEEZ's flow was just...just more so angry and dark not like his normal promting positive ora flow. If only Capital STEEZ got a little of his deserved recognition we might of still had him around today. This truly was his last straw.
+Daniel Jackson Nah fr fr I think this was aimed at SMTH... It said it took him 15 minutes just to write it, he probably got asked to feature, heard that nigga verse, got pissed and wrote his lol
Peter Cooper .No it definitely is not directed at SMTH. Why would STEEZ roast SMTH who asked STEEZ too hop on his track? Makes no sense. Second off a majority of STEEZ's bars lyrically aim towards why he's getting no recognition, and the person who's responsible for that. "How you not gone give me mine everytime I rip a line" also "A ghostwriter been why he's so nice most of the time he spits some of his line's there is no concept". STEEZ and Joey both on video admit STEEZ wrote for Joey. STEEZ in video says "Im not gonna front tho niggas be stealin my shit" than right after Joey says "Ya I steal STEEZ's lines". So it all adds together that Capital STEEZ was having his rightly deserved recognition stolen by Joey who he ghostwrote for in the Beginnings of Pro Era. Joey was getting all the mainstream recognition that was really meant to be STEEZ's. Damn shameful if you ask me.
+Daniel Jackson Cause my nigga verse was trash lol, idk wtf he was talking about. But damn i didn't even know about that SMH. I've heard Joey using STEEZ's lines before too.
the difference between u and I is that... I can rap and I don't rap designer bags besides de fact dat em guys are wack it took me 15 mins jus to write dis track......👐❤ #RIPSteelo
"Scratch that I'm sick and tired being sick and tired"....I just only hear STEEZ and his whole verse felt like the whole song as a whole no disrespect to SMTH but it does. You can tell he was at the end of his rope! All that anger and fustration he threw on that last recording! Goes to show you he already did his job he already in the book of emcee's but it's sad he died too young too early. #restinpeacesteez
aye he might have misinterpreted the word but that doesn't mean he shouldn't stay open to multiple perceptions of a verse. You don't have to be the writer to understand the lyrics. one of the best things about lyricism is that it's open to interpretation
This music video is a vibe man. Makes me feel some type of way when I listen to it. Check up on your friends and relatives because you never know what they could be going through. Happy New Year's Day y'all.
Don't get me wrong I love STEEZ to death and I always be repping that 47 shit but this song just ain't right. We're listening to the self destructive confused thoughts of a man before he ended his life, killing yo self ain't a sane thing to do as a normal human being, his schizophrenia was getting to him and he got way too deep in his thoughts and that's what killed him non of this PE/Joey shot you guys be chatting bout. It great and all the money going to his fam but I ain't down with the other rapper using this verse to try boost himself never even heard of the guy till now
I hear you I'm by no means saying the shit is clean cut cause it can't be I mean he killed himself people don't do that stuff lightly. But just reading about what he believed just baffles me, I mean look at the facebook convo he had that's out there. Yeah I'm syre there would of been stuff going on with PE that upset him that's clear but I'm saying there's two sides to ebery coin, this verse just makes him sound bitter and jealous.
Let's just leave the controversy alone and let him rest in peace. It's fucked up w/ all the conspiracy over his death. Just leave it alone and let him R.I.P
YOU GUYS HAVE TO, HAVE TO, RELEASE THE WHOLE UNEDITED FOOTAGE OF THAT LAST RECORDING SESSION AT THE END, PLEASE! FOR THE FANS MAN!
Real shit,i kinda feel that they have a ton of unreleased footage of STEEZ.

Pro Era is dead without Steez and Seccs Tape 2 is a perfect example,
the whole movement was for Steez to get his message out and show society the other side so i don't see the point in carrying on the Pro Era legacy if nobody in the group can even begin to anticipate the idea's Steez had.
***** I stopped listening to them, steez was the heart of the group. Joey is a fucking snake
Eye think you're being unrealistic after steez passed pe fell out of balance, like what would wu tang be without rza or OF without tyler. Everything in life is about energy and when steez left the synchronism wasn't the same
Dimitri Degrenis 3 Years later and you Couldn't be more Right... ops.. yup you are
Kwame Ali eye think Your bryond right
Yeah once STEEZ passed I feel like Pro Era as a collective and group lost direction and Real unity outside of a few acts like Joey,Kirk, and occasionally Nyck Caution
#longlivesteelo
I also find it weird pro era aint doing anything for steez. When steez died joey was on radio and talked about steez for 10 seconds then went on to his freestyle. It's almost as if things are the way pro era wants it to be, steez is gone and they dont have to be on that amerikkkan koruption shit. Pro era doesn't use 47 the way steez did, it's just a number to pro era that they can repeat over and over so you think of steez. Kinda pisses me off but at least we here LOVE steez and his art truely...
true!
Pro era are snakes bro, the only one reppin steez is dirty, to me joey is a snake, he stole what steez made out of pro era and gets credit for it.
marentes133 maybe youre right. but they still make good music at the end of the day. so instead of letting it get to your head, just enjoy the good music that steez and pro era provides
kiltdatnikkah ofc bc dirty sanchez was his bro no matter what out of all the recent interviews with pro era I only seem to see sanchez holding it down for steez
kiltdatnikkah because dirty was steez's best friend
Called Last Straw and ended up being Steezs last recorded verse. Coincidence?
not his last track.
Acid Rap Various sources say it's his last recorded verse.
I Isaiah show me the link of said sources please.
If you type the name of this song in google there's 20+ websites stating that its his last recorded verse. Recorded 5 days before his death.
+I Isaiah thank you.
The Last Straw is a dope track. I can listen to it over and over.
I feel like he was talking about Joey on this
Facts
If he was talking about Joey this is probably why he ain't been thinking about making a posthumous album for him! Since he now beyond the grave dissed Joey
+Leoven tell me why he disses dyme?

+GuyKnife had same toughts
She just wants his money I feel like his family only wants his money other then that they thought he was crazy
Nah his family's cool
You can find some of his sisters on instagram, theyre into that meditation chakra new age stuff too so im sure they didnt think he was crazy
@@yehusinede9913I talked to his sis a few days ago. She said she doesn’t believe he jumped or that he was schizophrenic!! Look her tam dewar
Yeah bro but I think it was also aimed at dyme-a-duzins
Peter Cooper Look up "Pro Era Pitchfork BBQ" they both say exactly what I posted above in it. Joey was fake af.
RIP Steez and cheers SMTH for such a good song and clip dedicated to steez
I hear a lot of taking when I turn my back but when I turn around they pat they don't say jack.
Such a slept on line.
Could you explain it please
@@ElOmen22 pat sajack is the host of wheel of fortune.
Hindsight is 20/20, but this sounds like a letter to Joey and the crew. If I had to guess.
Definitely to Joey
the difference between u and I is that... I can rap and I don't rap designer bags
besides de fact dat em guys are wack
it took me 15 mins jus to write dis track......👐❤

🔥🔥🔥🔥bars
"Scratch that I'm sick and tired being sick and tired"....I just only hear STEEZ and his whole verse felt like the whole song as a whole no disrespect to SMTH but it does. You can tell he was at the end of his rope! All that anger and fustration he threw on that last recording! Goes to show you he already did his job he already in the book of emcee's but it's sad he died too young too early. #restinpeacesteez
+The Synchronologist RIP King Steelo
Rip steez
We need more huge channels like vice or something to investigate or make documentaries on capital steez
Facts
No seriously. His death was so strange. I also talked to his sister and she said she believed he didn’t jump.
To this day steez’s verse blows me away. I have to listen to it a couple times cause it makes me think and I miss a line.
Stock Market George spot on
Those steez shirts!!!!!
That part where steez is saying I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired …. Hear the song leaf by asap rocky he bit his flow rip steez smh
I think He subliminally dissed either PE crew or Joey Bada$$. idk
He was dissing Joey Badass tbh pro era aren't shit without Steez,
marentes133 real shit
no seriously i need that shirt
Looking back on some Steez music miss the creative artist forreal
Yo, coincidence that he said these "wave slaves" diss to Joey? This beat in this song sounds like a sample of the song "waves" by joey
nah i dont think its a diss bro
+FreshLB15 yeah I doubt it, but still interesting
He said "weight slave" stop interpreting people's words differently than they are. No disrespect you just aren't steez.
aye he might have misinterpreted the word but that doesn't mean he shouldn't stay open to multiple perceptions of a verse. You don't have to be the writer to understand the lyrics. one of the best things about lyricism is that it's open to interpretation
+Skamux that's true💯
"looking for radio play and then making hits"
I wonder if any of those bars were dissing at Joey
Oh they were no question
@@trippymane432facts
It was.
one of STEEZ's best verses although its hard to judge since all of his verses have such high standards

This music video is a vibe man. Makes me feel some type of way when I listen to it. Check up on your friends and relatives because you never know what they could be going through. Happy New Year's Day y'all.
I felt the video didn’t go with the message though
Same! Peace ✌🏾
Fair enough eye see what you're saying, nice to have a reasoned discussion with someone on youtube for once.
***** could you guys link me too this facebook trend?

Let's just leave the controversy alone and let him rest in peace. It's fucked up w/ all the conspiracy over his death. Just leave it alone and let him R.I.P
