Hi, the angle means that one drum is slightly behind the other, this means that they effectively overlap so you don't have a gap in the middle. Mower is totally belt drive, so you cannot just synchronise the drums like the Deutz drum mowers. It needs the wheel to set cut height. Normally with a drum mower you do this by tipping it back with the top link. Because these drums are offset you can't tip it, it has to be dead flat.
