After two years, I have made a second part to this video which discusses gradients and more obscure blocks, along with how to choose a good location for your build :) :) ruclips.net/video/jZ8nizbRW3U/видео.html
I am really happy one help I need the world you use in this video can I get download link please it help me lot to work in some builds ( I know my grammar is rip 😅)
FYI: On the last example, where I show google images and say "this is a bad example", what I'm actually looking at is how things look in nature, like sideways logs, rocks, lakes, trees, etc. While rewatching the video I realized that part was a little bit confusing. :)
I always considered myself decent at building, but I never really thought I was all that good at it. This, however, reminded me just how many blocks I could use and just how much variety matters. I'll be sure to put this to damn good use.
I know im late but same. I used to just like not care i had fun to just be able to build but after taking abreak i would watch youtubers be so good and i tried to build like them and i think it ruined my confidence while building things but i feel like this video was like a push for me to realize that some day I'll actually be good at building and most likely forget about the builds/worlds that had "my worst builds"
Anything looks amazing with shaders try it build a dirt hut and it looks 1000000x times better than without thats why I like builders who don't use shaders
I mean I can really see a huge improvement with my building techniques over the years I've played but watching this pushed me up into developing better ideas faster
The 1st tip for house shape itself made my building much better.... Edit :- The interior was too cool Edit 2 :- Can you say how to make the roof that jihita makes in his Hardcore worlds using both full blocks and also stairs, slabs too
Finally omg. This is the only video that actually provided useful tips. All the other ones are just like "Add square onto square and you have house". Thank you for finally providing me useful tips!
My sort of tip is if your ever feeling dis encouraged or disappointed at your build just remember that's the point of practice and learning I've been building for like 4 or 5 years and even still I get disappointed at my builds afterall your not gonna become davinci after watching a single Bob Ross video I know it's hard but all of this just comes to practice and if your struggling I recommend just trying new things and not to give up when you haven't even began Finish your build and look at your and bad points of the build take note and try not to make the same mistake and instead try fix it if it doesn't work that's good because it's still progess Just remeber everything you do no matter how bad it is will still be progress so don't get disappointed or sad just keep going and move on don't let one bad build ruin your passion for building just move on and eventually you will get better
I’ve never been good at building houses, mine are pretty much like the letter L. I’m mainly into red stone building but I want to incorporate that into neater builds
Thank you so much! I really like building in minecraft but when I'm not following tutorials, even though I try not to, I end up making plain box houses 😅 Your video has helped me a lot
A good idea for people who aren't that great at building like me this video is pretty good on instructions so you can use this to go into a super flat world and just start building random Stuff and eventually you'll become you'll get better at building with detail just by building random stuff and you'll like for example I started so I was making all these designs for a pirate code on my super flat world and eventually I got a pretty good looking one and that's all you really got to do
It's taking me 3 years now and finally i am getting better but i just don't have the creativity as i used to i do still have creativity but before i learnt how to be a better builder it was just better.
Bro Every video I watch just shows me how to build a house and they don’t go into depth and finally I found this video this video helped a lot thank you
This just gave me so many ideas on how to even slightly improve my base in my Modded MC survival world (it's pretty bland unfortunately :( ) I'm gonna come back to this after I'm finished improving it and tell how it goes. You my good sir have earned a like and sub
Even if I'm good at building which I'm not, is just the first step, playing in a survival world trying to get these materials in order to add details to your base is another hard and tedious step
Here's a good tip for a survival/hardcore player. A lot of people rush to build a house on night 1. Often, they are forced to build a simple cube no bigger than 5x5. Later, they don't feel like disassembling it so they just live in it. Do it. Build your crappy cube. But, don't live it in. Master it. As you get more materials, extend out by two blocks in each direction. Turn your 5x5 into a 7x7. Raise the roof by 2 blocks and texture the ceiling. Maybe with log supports going across. Or a chandelier. Whatever you fancy. Then, frame the corners and upper sides with logs. Possibly a different wood set than your wall planks. Add some detailing using stairs, leaves, vines, slabs, doors, trapdoors, or any combination of these, to your newly depthened walls. After this, make a simple placeholder roof or just leave it blank. You deserve a second floor later down the line to complete your build. By now you'll probably be needing more room. Attach another 7x7 to the back. Or, maybe if you want a bit extra shape, a 7x9, 9x9, or anything else that'll look good around back. Next, build your second floor. Maybe extend a platform 4 blocks out and then build a supporting frame under it. Your new balcony. Your roof is next. Depending on the house shape, you can go for any style. A modern simple staircase roof. A slab roof. A tall and long viking long house look. Anything. When you get done with the roof, make the space inside the roof into an attic. Possibly for extra storage. And take screenshots of each stage. See your 5x5 go to a multi-storied, detailed, 7x14 or 14x14 or 14x9. And this is just an idea for a simple extension without much shape. Adding more rectangle rooms in a slightly more chaotic way will make it look even better, but will also make it harder to create and detail. Too many people see their first cube as something to either live in, abandon, or tear down. It's not, at all. Just use it as a framework to expand upon.
I am actually a pretty good builder. I am learning these rules only to disobey them and do the opposite of what I learned. Building like a noob is my dream, wish me luck.
Can you make a video about how pros make statues of anything (Vanilla edition)? Like how Wiederdude and some others do it? I've been playing Minecraft ever since it came out, and I still struggle with doing what I love to do- build statues of my favourite things around my base. It's a real pain in my butt, and I would love some tips on how to build things such as anime characters, or even blocks in minecraft to the larger scale There's also the fact that I've never gotten past gold and iron tools, never been to the Nether.... so maybe you can make a guide about what coordinates mean (a lot of people struggle with that one), what tools do what (my friends struggle with arguing about what's better, an Axe or a Sword), etc? And things like how to never lose your way in Minecraft, and what to do first? This could help many aspiring Minecraft RUclipsrs and casual gamers, and would most likely get a lot of views and likes, if that's what you strive for. I understand if you ignore this comment, have a wonderful day! :)
I don't even know why I'm watching this since I'm already good at building since I started teaching myself 2 years ago but still thanks for the tutorial
Super useful video, +1 subscriber :) also, are you by any chance involved in a cult full of lunatic worshippers aiming to revive Cthulhu and bring destruction to the world or is that just me

How to be a good builder:
Step 1 - Install shaders
Step 2 - admire your work

I know it's hard but all of this just comes to practice and if your struggling I recommend just trying new things and not to give up when you haven't even began
Finish your build and look at your and bad points of the build take note and try not to make the same mistake and instead try fix it if it doesn't work that's good because it's still progess
Just remeber everything you do no matter how bad it is will still be progress so don't get disappointed or sad just keep going and move on don't let one bad build ruin your passion for building just move on and eventually you will get better

Hey Magicov I wanna say that every time I build something in MC I usually combine different block and make a new and unique style like for example when I build a starter base in a cave I combine different types of wood since I love building with wood blocks since they're my favourite or use Concrete and wood
In short, vary your blocks, add depth, make cool roofs, and make your roof/floor and walls different colors.
