    or
I sucked at building in Minecraft, so I spent a week watching building tutorials and using all my skills to create the most ambitious build I've ever attempted.
Also, a big shout out to @GeminiTayMC for world edit tutorials so good that they're still coming in clutch 5 years later.

I absolutely loved all of the art metaphors!
    ...
Is it a metaphor if it's objectively true...whatever. The connections. I especially liked the thing about just getting something down on the page, because that's definitely the hardest part for me. And even if it's just some primitive shapes, it really helps my motivation and inspiration.
Really enjoyed the video, and I'm definitely going to go play Minecraft now. Thanks, and great job!

Gurl, as I builder myself that has worked with quite a lot of builds for servers. You are doinh so well! I just feel it, just some more tutorials and stuffs and you could be better. This is so good. The tree itself has a nice shape and the leaves were nicely added, wasnt sure how i felt for it when you were just adding it but gurl it turned so good at the end. Maybe because i liked trees airy in a sense but this type of leaves might be something i would build in the future. And the frustration with structures are so relatable, specially when something isnt measured properly. You did great with it tho. Love the palette you choose for it, it is integrated nicely with the surroundings. Tho in conclusion, you ✨slayed✨. Your major really did shine in this video. Your creativity has served you well this time. You should do more building stuffs videos in the future if you want to.

But the fact that you- a beginner in Minecraft builds- made an amazing build? Inspires me to actually jump into Minecraft and actually try to build the ‘dream’ build I’ve been wanting to do!
Your build is amazing, the tree, the buildings, the little mushrooms! And the foxes are so cute!

Idk how I'm just now seeing this after 4 months after its been posted??? This video was really nice though and it makes me feel much better about building now that I see other people struggle learning too (large builds in Minecraft can be really intimidating!)
As for this type of content I'd personally really enjoy these type of building videos. There isnt a lot out there regarding learning how to build in creative mode on a large scale while making the build look good, its really nice to see and learn specifically about the art process itself along with you. (I love art in general so still plan on watching your irl art projects as well too ^^)
Now...the biggest lesson i've learned from this, however, is I need to try out world edit because large organics intimidate me SO MUCH even though in regular art (I do digital drawing primarily) I LOVE organics 💀

    Tinkers construct jerrys tree.
Jokes aside this is actually a pretty good example of how to get started learning what can feel like a really complex topic, for the most part it really does come down to just doing the subject and making a habit out of the tools others use before experimenting with new ones. And sometimes it comes down to learning how to learn in the first place.
I personally learned how worldedit works from watching vechs when his maps were popular in 2012-2014, but i usually play my builds by ear in survival. I also played a lot of small multiplayer servers before one of my favorites shut down. So to anyone who is worried that they are terrible at building, I can personally say that you dont really need to make a hermitcraft quality build or massive rooms to make your worlds feel good, just that you need to make the world work for you and put in a little extra effort than whats required to make it comfy or town like. I think youtubes kinda warped that perspective a fair bit.

Now seriously, this was a very interesting video to watch! Watching you make odd mistakes was very amusing, but i learned a few things too! Seing this journey was another look at the learning process of worldedit from another perspective.
Also, psst, you said worledit reminds you of 3d sculpting programs? Try axiom lmao, it's quite familiar to blender.
Edit to add: Wow, the final result is plenty impressive on it's own right! Even more seeing how much experience you have with MC building and buiding programs!

I really liked this video. I've played Minecraft for around 10 years. And the fact of the matter is, ive never once in my life finished a build. The max i would do is one house, or a underground dug base that was all rectangles. Every modpack I ever played, i ended up quitting bc of my building skills. This year i decided to fully commmit to a modpack and build no matter how hard it could be, and i had so much fun with the whole seeing inspo and trying out my own tweaks. Earlier this week i was on the verge of quitting bc a project was being really daunting for me inside that world, and only after this video was i able to experience the joy of building again through someone else, and i logged back in and gave my all to that build (still wip) and im super happy with it now. Tysm Jess bc you really pushed me forward and this build looks amazing!!! I cant wait to one day play with world edit too (bc i play survival), and then try and copy paste it in my survival word.
This was trully refreshing and i was hooked to every single second of this video

BRUH I'm so inspired. for some reason the thing that's blowing my mind the most is your mastery of the paste and other flipping/selecting commands in World Edit. paste is the bane of my life I just can never get it to do what I want, and selecting is a pain too. granted I haven't fully looked into tutorials so I should do that 😂 discovering the stack command was my most recent epiphany
the wool boxes have never been really useful to me but I think I should give them another go. I think I'm too worried about the final result with all the depth and details, when I should remember that this is Block Game and it's all gonna look a bit blocky and that's normal

I love literally everything about this build, from the concept to the color pallet. I would have never guessed you didnt build like this normally, seeing your process and experience through it all has inspired me in a way to get back into building again.
The story you created for the build is amazing too, i dont think every build needs a story but it really ties all of it together. Coming from someone who loved mushroom builds this was my favorite thing in the whole wide world to see. The little blue mushrooms added as path ways / jump paths was such a fantastic touch and something like that could only be imagined through experience and creation.
Would wholeheartedly love to see this kind of content more from you! I was subscribed on my other channel for your arts and crafts, the fact you are getting into minecraft like that is so good. I love it so much!

This was an incredibly well-done video. I have been building in Minecraft for a while, but have just recently started learning World Edit, and this project is just so amazing to see and have as inspiration.

You are now my favorite RUclipsr, I have been here for a year or two and you taught me so may things, ever since I saw the first book video I new immediately that I would be with this channel for years to come. I’ve now started to make notebooks for my friends and family and have gotten so many ideas for myself. So thank you, and thank you for the inspiration - Oakland and Phoenix from MCT System

I love the little bits about how much art theories/practices/techniques come into play with Minecraft! I get stumped (pun semi-intended?) on big builds because of how overwhelming it can feel and this made me realize it's similar to how my sketches and writing can feel overwhelming and needing to just... go for it? Start off with small bits or skeletons and go from there. I feel so inspired now!!

You’ve inspired me to make more things it’s all your videos! Thank you for that! I’m not very talented with Minecraft myself and especially not World edit! But I found it so fun watching you and it reminded me off myself when I was learning to detail and use gradients! It made me laugh so much! Never give up and take a break when you need it! And I think your build looks absolutely amazing btw hope you make more content like this!
