You describe exactly what I need, want, and yearn for: Colombia calls me. Thank you for painting the picture, answering questions, and writing about your life. Your sharing is inspiring me to try.
I'm finally in Colombia,I could live here forever once I perfect street Tacos,in general the food is kind of bland and uninspired, some hole in the wall gems, the fruits, produce and vegetables is amazing though
yay!! glad you made it, now figure out how you can stay! Yea most people don´t like the food here, but I love it, so simple. Also depends where you eat! what part of Colombia are you at?
@@SaraBurdickWhat food do you like the most? I have noticed that too the food is not always so great. Especially if you go to a supermarket i noticed the quality is not the best and some more expensive supermarket is really expensive. I'm comparing prices to Europe not US.
@@Luojanhelmi I love the beans and rice, chicharon as well as all the soups... Sancocho, ajiaco, well I like almost all the food. The best way to get good produce is to buy at vegetable stands outside of the supermarket... The supermarkets in the big cities are more pricey esp.compared to where I live . Esp if you want anything imported it's very expensive..
Yey! Seattle nurse here. Thank you so much for answering all my questions! Still LOVE your life….and I just got approved for the 6month sabbatical! Yeah! It’s not until this time next year, but it’s definitely going to happen. So thank you for your inspiration and encouragement! Btw, what’s the story behind your dog? Sorry if you’ve already addressed this. I used to have a husky. Just curious how you came about getting him or her?
Yay!! I am glad I answered all your questions!! If you end up in Colombia, let me know. The dog was left at the school I was living at, so I adopted him. He is a husky/malamute mix, and he is the best dog-lots of love and energy!! It's a he named Baki. He had that name already! Congrats on getting your Sabbatical approved, that is amazing they approved it!
