  • Genesis at the Hollywood Bowl. Abruptly suspended when still no soul had moved from their seats due the rain.
One of the best moments of the show... the old songs...

...so we could all go to the gents immediately after In The Cage!! Precisely timed, the loo filled up during Hold On My Heart -- everyone running, shouting "Pissing Song!!" :-))

Agreed, the best moments were the old songs...they're magical. Why, oh why, would they play Hold On My Heart?

Not so sure about that idea. Sure Peter still can sing his 1970-1975 material the same way? Also: of course Chester and Daryl would not be part of it, so Steve Hackett must be talked into it. Are you guys sure you want to hear classic Genesis with digital synths - I'm sure Tony never would touch a Hammond and a Mellotron again. I'd say leave it to the fantastic tribute bands.

Well I don't mean to be unpolite or anything, but I must have missed something: who are "we"? Some kind of club defending the thesis that Genesis is only authentic when Peter (and perhaps Steve) are present, no matter what? Well at least that is a "safe" opinion. Anyone defending Peter doesn't need to frear being considered ridiculous - since it seems to be the "official" opinion. Just one small remark: if Peter and Steve are such geniuses, where exactly is their solo material to prove it?
