I love my Rockford Fosgate Prime amplifiers!!! I have a 200x2 (Coaxial Rear Fill) and a 750x1 (x4 Sealed 8” P1 2007 subs) next to my Power Series T600-4 (front stage) and T2500-1 (x4 Ported 8” Subs). They do not look out of place or anything. It’s the perfect middle road for affordability, performance and cost. I have never has them go into protect for as hard as I push them, granted I made sure to tune everything to safely run a max vol with no clipping (with clean music). These Prime amps are SOLID and were fun to install. I always tell people that Rockford has released new stuff for car audio but I really can’t wait for some flagship release or a DSP … I love my Rockford products because they are built to last!!! #TeamRockford
Sounds like an Awesome set-up you have! I have a 20’ Honda Civic running a Skar system with (1) Skar 10” SVR DVC2 (1600 watt sub) in a factory enclosure with the Skar RP800 (800 watts + x 1) mono amp running at 1 ohm. I grew up with “the Punch” 45 as my first RF amp (used Alpine everything before Punch) then I upgraded to a Punch 150 amp and (1) Punch 15” sub that slammed my 89’ Honda CRX in high school. I am currently looking for a Rockford Fosgate P1000-1BD but it’s now discontinued so I’m looking at the Punch Prime 750 after reading so many positive comments and reviews about Prime series knowing it’s birth sheet says 750 x 1 but their amps ALWAYS had much more watts to give so I Love to read all these awesome comments & stories on RF car audio because since the 80’s it has been one of the BEST powerful/reliable brands on the market!#🔊❤️#RockfordFosgate👑🔊@Phi Mobile Sounds
@crutchfield kicker component kss269 in the front and tri axial kss6904 in The back doors. Sub is a skar SK8TBV but I upgraded the speaker with and SVR-8. I am also running the Rockford Fosgate DSR-1 all off the OEM head unit. I'm getting it all installed on the 31st. All in a 2020 Nissan Titan.
Do you happen to have a video on how to set the clean out? I’m powering a 12in kicker l7s and every time the bass hits the red light will flash, only for a millisecond though. I have the amp set to 1 on the gain and it still does it.
We do not have a video showing how to set the C.L.E.A.N. OUT, but page 5 of the owner's manual for the current models covers how to set the C.L.E.A.N. IN and then set the C.L.E.A.N. OUT. We keep a PDF file of the manual on our web site with the link to download it found in the "What's in the box" section of the web page. There is one manual for all their Prime series models and here's a link to the webpage for the 500W model: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_575R2500X1/item.html
So does this mean that getting a certain amp with certain channels make the subs hit any harder or different ? From my understanding the one ohm or channel hits harder? Is that right?
Hi Jay, in most cases an amp does offer the most power when wired to 1-ohm. Matching your sub's power and impedance specs will give you the best results. Do you need help choosing an amp for specific subs?
The Rockford Fosgate Prime series of amps are slotted in the middle of the tiers between Punch with Power being the Rockford's premium options that we carry, that is correct.
The only way that would give good power for a subwoofer is to run the amp in bridged mode with one or two subs that present a 4 ohm load to the amp and can handle at least 250 watts RMS
I have a powered Rockford p500-12p and getting the 4 channel prime amp soon. Would the bass knob for this amp only affect the door speakers, & would this be the best option for bringing my factors speakers up to par with my sub?
The wired remote included with this sub controls the sub level only. Which model 4-channel amp do you have in mind? What model speakers do you plan to power with it?
If you are using a pair of 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch P1 subwoofers, the Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000X5 amp in the link below is an excellent choice. The P1000X5 delivers 300-watts RMS to 2-ohm subwoofer loads and 500-watts RMS to 1-ohm loads and has 75-watt by 4-channel power to drive your door speakers! Make sure to use speakers that can handle at least 75-watts RMS for the doors. www.crutchfield.com/I-rFBKc166/p_575P1KX5/Rockford-Fosgate-Punch-P1000X5.html
@@crutchfield thanks !!! Will look to order today , I’ve been using the Rocksford fosgate R500x1d . And I’ve definitely been looking for an amp that can power my subs and door speakers on my 2019 Honda accord sport . THANKS FOR THE HELP

Thanks for the great service
Anytime! We're glad to hear that you found the video helpful. 🙂
I just bought the R2-750x5 not hooked up yet, but man, am I excited for the day it is.
Excited for you, Ron! What will you be powering?

Are all of Rockford fosgate amps made in the USA?
They are designed here and manufactured globally.
I’m running 2 Morel Maximo ultras an 2 db drive pro 6.5 will the Punch 200a.4 4 channel be good enough to power them?
Hi Dante, the Morels will work well matched to your RF amp. What is the exact model of your DB 6.5" speakers?
The DB Drives are the Pro6k4m series components
Based on the power specs listed for them on the DB Drive site, your Rockford amp should also work well with them.
Do you happen to have a video on how to set the clean out? I’m powering a 12in kicker l7s and every time the bass hits the red light will flash, only for a millisecond though. I have the amp set to 1 on the gain and it still does it.
