  • Want to learn a forward roll on the gymnastic rings? A ring muscle-up would be optimal, but some basic ring strength would be enough already. In this tutorial I will guide you through the step-by-step process on learning your first ring forward roll. The ring forward roll is a common element within strength training and often used in creating ring routines alongside the skin the cat, the ring-muscle-up or the shoulder stand.

    can do 5 muscle ups but am too weak for the roll for some reason
    notes to self: hold rings close, extend legs. I'll report back If I made it next session

      Hey Asura, yeah please let me know! One more important thing: Try to hold the false grip with all the strength you have, don't let your the grip change to a regular grip and just commit to it!

    • @asura8495
      @asura8495 2 года назад

      did it, but wasn't pretty yet. the most effectfull tip was probably to focus on keeping the false grip. without it coming up again is nearly impossible.
      Thanks!👍

      @@asura8495 Congrats! Of course, I've never seen anyone who did their first ring forward roll in a beautiful manner, so no worries here. Practice will make it perfect!

    I damaged my skin so hard on my wrists training this. Is it part of the process? Am I going to develop callouses? Or is my false grip placed wrong?

    • @mr.broccoliwarrior9303
      @mr.broccoliwarrior9303 3 года назад +5

      This is completely normal in the beginning.
      Just give it some time, don't overdo it and your skin will adapt. You can also train the false grip in feet- assisted positions, to reduce the load.

    • @danielsproject5044
      @danielsproject5044  3 года назад +1

      Yes, don't worry. Mr. broccoliwarrior is totally right. If you are training with a false grip on a regular basis, your body will develop callouses and your skin will get less damaged over time.

    Either I’m doing it wrong or the muscle up is the most impossible thing to do
