Wow - so great seeing my footage come to life Barry - what a master of media you are... My 2022 Electric Motion Escape made the one loop I completed as a sweep a hell of a lot easier. It also enabled me to get into the thick of the action... I did fall attempting to ride down "bum slide hill"
I was at an OHV park today and had to use the trick of walking my bike down a steep muddy hill. There were so many washed out rocks and roots that it made the whole decent even harder. To add to the fun, there was a barbed wire fence right at the left edge of the trail (property line). The whole thing was definitely far above my skill level but thankfully I was able to take my time and get through it without dropping the bike. It was quite a proud moment for myself as a novice enduro-style rider.
@@mc4nathan336 - I’d love to know what all the extra maintenance I keep hearing about is on European bikes? I’ve owned a KTM at the same time that I’ve owned a Honda and a Yamaha. If anything the KTM took less maintenance other than all of the tires I went through because it got ridden three times more. Wheel bearings were beefier on the KTM, the clutch plates NEVER wore out, and the only stuff that broke was minor and always crash related. Just don’t be a guinea pig for the latest tech and be aware that some TPI bikes are lemons.
There used to be a big difference in reliability... not much difference nowadays. It all depends on which models of course, each have their known issues to look out for.
I wouldn't be any good at hard enduro. I'd take look at the carnage in front of me on hills like that and look for another way around the mountain. Yeah it may take me miles out of my way but I'd avoid all that nasty mud! 😁

Looks fricken crazy, I'd be the gumby stuck trying to get over the tyre obstacles at the start. Good job to those who finish.
Same here !!! - I'd be lucky to hand out water bottles in this event.... Damn !!!!
Really appreciate the tip about engine off, 1st gear, clutch = rear brake. That's a great idea for walking down a steep slope. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Congrats Casey! Always a confidence booster when you nail something new.
Nuts! Thanks for the content. Cheers
No worries!
I wish we had more rain here in Spain, I need a lot more practice in wet conditions, it looks insane💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Awesome video!!!!
Thanks!!
Bloody hell, looks like me and my mates last weekend. Greasy hill climbing all day.
wish I had a strategy to attack mud. I just go in with momentum and hope for the best. Which often doesn’t end up as planned
Action at the 3:06 mark, I've been there before 😂😂😂
The simpsons voiceover had me laughing out loud 🤣
Doh!
Do you need FIM tyres for these events? or would my Mitas 754 be alright? Also, Nice to see Ebony Neilson out there!
No requirements for tyres at all that I'm aware of....
Are u going to make an onboard video of you riding at the event?
A few are already out as supporters vids, Liam. Shorter public versions will crop up in the next few months.
@@crosstrainingenduro oh yep cheers mate. Just love seeing Australia having wet enduro events lol. Here in nz it's always wet somehow haha
Where was this is this the one at gapstead ?
I don't know the name of the area or property for this event
@crosstrainingenduro have u ever rode up Beechworth way?
Yo I'm thinking of getting a European bike instead of Japanese should I
I did 4years ago , better bike in the rough stuff and hills but a lot more maintenance

Ok thanks mate

I think I might get a 2010 husqvarna
Always use brand new tires for an event like this.
Great point!

Me too, Dave. I can't say mud is my favourite terrain... especially hills!
That doesn’t look fun at all! Lol
Stop tilting the camera to make it look steeper !
That was footage given to me by someone at the event, send your complaints to him.
